After being closed for a year, for«remodeling», the same old dump reopened, with new employees, who weren’t trying to start a union. So walmart killed off the union attempt and in the end, let a store sit for a year. And a year later, it’s the same mediocre walmart it was before. No point in going here unless, goddess help you, you need something only they have.

Walmart typically gets a bad rap for being overcrowded, having long lines, and rude employees. This Walmart in Brandon/Valrico fortunately does not give me said problems. For one, I do go to this Walmart often and it is never really crowded. Sure there could be a lot of people there, but never to the point where I’m rubbing shoulders with people as I walk. It’s a nice atmosphere and the employees there are always helpful. Never really deal with really long lines there, as the most I’ve ever really had to wait is about 5 minutes. Also, they provide a self-checkout so you can avoid those lines. The only negatives I have with it is that sometimes it may be difficult to find parking(which is kind of strange since the store is never really crowded). Overall, for a supercenter it’s a pretty pleasant shopping experience.

I am not a Walmart fan and avoid the store like the plague. However, I had to return something from Christmas and I have to admit this store was very nice. I did go very early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Perhaps I need to visit later in the day to see why people give it not so great reviews. On second thought, I probably will not visit the store late at night. I think early in the morning is the best time to visit any wal*mart store!

Overall I am not a fan of Walmart. The only reason I shop here is because it is so close to my house. While prices are cheap the people here are scary. I stopped in one night around 11pm and it was frightening. I would avoid this place after dark. Women who work behind the service desk are totally useless. I do like that you can check yourself out, too bad most people do not know how to use and it takes them forever.

I’d go to Target twice over if one was closer and I shop at Publix or Farmers Markets for grocery, but sometimes you just have to pick up random items that are easiest done on a Walmart trip. This one is not as dirty as others in the area or as out of stock as much. It’s a happy day at a Walmart when I actually find all of what I am looking for on the shelf and not just an empty hole — this one is 50⁄50 on this. The pros to this Walmart is it’s proximity to my house and the people watching. If it was farther, I’d probably never go. There is only one Walmart I have ever been in I enjoyed. That was a brand new — clean, fully stocked store — in my teeny tiny hometown in TN.

First of all, you must understand that I am really not a Walmart fan. There really are two kinds of people; Walmart people and Target people. So you may be asking yourself, «then why did you shop there»? I’ll attempt to answer. I was unfamiliar with the area. I was not driving. I was unable to locate a Target. That’s pretty much it. The store itself reminded me of the store in Lodi, CA; a bit on the small side and very outdated. The store was adequate and I was able to find what I needed.

This store is alway neat and clean and well stocked. I try to shop early to avoid crowds. The lines are sometimes very long.
