Awesome rib special on Sunday’s. Love eating here. Better than Sonnys. My family has eaten here a few times after church and it has been great. Love the flavored tea too

I was hoping for better quality BBQ based on the rating. I had chicken, sausage, brisket and ribs. None were outstanding, just good. It’s tight quarters and self serve so don’t show up with a large party.

Little on the pricey side but overall pretty good. Notca regular stop but good in a pinch none the less. Love the décor inside the restaurant

Good evening Unilocalers. Why am I giving a three. Let’s start with the customer service. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the staff. Nice the you are recognized when you walk in. This is a very small place so if you have a large party be prepared to be cramped. It’s small but clean. Now the food. The ribs were well seasoned but tuff. There was a lot of fat on the ribs as well. The baked beans were really good. They had chunks of meat on them. Very tasty. The macaroni and cheese was very bland and mushy. The sweet tea was not sweet at all and it was hot even when you put ice in it. The food portions were very large. Now for the sanitation. People would lick their fingers and then touch the paper towels and the barbecue sauce bottle. No bueno. :-(. They should probably consider putting napkin dispensers on the table so that people are not putting barbecue sauce on the paper towels. Overall I was not very impressed. I don’t think I will be back.

This place is quick and delicious. Nice, courteous staff, and great food means I’m not going anywhere else. Barnyard basket is great, but great sausage and St. Louis ribs for sure. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted, and honestly the prices are cheaper than the area’s competition by a dollar or two on some items with absolutely no compromise in taste. And it’s clean! Great job to the people running it and the staff doing the work.

Pulled pork was solid, but sides were weak. About as good as BBQ gets in this part of the world though.

To be honest, I had low expectations before arriving. This place has… a less than inviting location. However, upon entering the staff immediately greeted us, smiling and kind, asked our names, then casually informed us «first-timers» about the various deals they offer. Good prices too. They took our order, then asked us to take a seat, they’ll serve us our food. While they prepared our meal, I took in the décor. From the comical vintage signs, to the camo toilet seats over the trash bins, to the«preciate it» sign over the exit, the theme was complete. Food came quickly, and I noticed their 7 different types of bbq sauce. Each with personal, unique names. Afterward, the waitress even bussed our food for us. I wasn’t expecting such a warm little bbq joint, and for that I give them a 4 out of 5. Keep it up, Bubbaque.

We had been looking for a place to eat, and while my friend was suggesting chains, I wanted something different. I saw that Bubbaque’s had quite a few cars outside, so I suggested it. I’m glad I did. Inside, the place is full of kitsch décor, very ‘down home’, Redneck, and hill billy. It was cute. I opted for a Combo platter of 2 items with 2 sides or a Side and a sweet ending,(which is what I got) I got pulled pork and fried shrimp with steamed broccoli and banana pudding. My friend got the Sunday Special, a half rack of ribs, with fries and a drink. The girl who took our order was also our wait person, she brought us our drinks(Unsweet tea and ice water) and our meals followed shortly after. My meal was delicious. 8 large fried shrimp, a generous portion of pulled pork and some tasty steamed broccoli. My friend’s ribs were a bit dry and tough, but his fries were good, as was the home made ranch dressing he opted for. The banana pudding though? OUTOFTHISWORLD! The service was good too. Very efficient and very friendly. I’d certainly come back any time I’m in Brandon.

My husband was really excited to try this place because of the good reviews. I guess they gave us high expectations. We both got the Texas brisket sandwich. The meat was pretty tender, but there wasn’t much meat on the sandwich. It was mostly bread. Also, the majority of the brisket was pure gross fat. The toast was burnt for both of us. My mac & cheese seemed like it came from a frozen dinner. It had no taste at all & was very soupy. The best thing about our food was the sauce. We enjoyed trying the different kinds. Not sure if it’s worth the long wait & high price to go back though.
