This place is NEVER open. Open sign lit. Lights on but doors are locked. No one in sight. Don’t waste the gas

I went here on a carribean food craving and they nailed it! It’s a smaller, dine-in restaurant, bht you can do takeout as well. Be prepared for a little wait(nothing crazy) since everything’s made fresh. These people will never serve you anything from a microwave. The HOT jerk chicken lives up to its name! Hubs and I couldn’t even finish it because it was so spicy! The rice amd plantains it came w/were excellent and you get a huge portion at an appropriate price. Very nice staff, excellent flavor… I’ll definitely return.

Great little restaurant! We had the oxtail and the chicken curry and they were both very good! We also had the coconut shrimp and the fried plantains that were both good. Service was ok, just a little laid back. Would like to try more menu items next time.

Finally made it in here. I ordered the signature lemonade and the signature jerked chicken. Outstanding. Tasty and super spicy. The owner came out and asked for feedback. I gave her the honest truth about the coconut shrimp that I didn’t care for. But it’s only because I prefer it a certain way. She wasn’t offended at all and asked how I preferred it. She was gracious and sincere about the feedback. I will def go back again for the jerked chicken.

Whenever I’m in the mood for some Island Cuisine, this is my spot. The Brown Stewed chicken is incredibly yummy. Small restaurant with big flavors! #inlove

I wish I knew what the food tasted like. I tried to go yesterday with my daughter(who was quite hungry after school), and after we were seated in the empty room, the server brought us menus. We ordered drinks and I inquired about the menu. She seemed strange about answering the questions. Finally she told me the chef wasn’t there, but would be there soon, maybe in 15 minutes? I asked about how soon, and she said«I’ll call her». She went into the kitchen. No drinks ever arrived. I went and opened the window to the kitchen, and the girl was doing nothing but holding her phone. She seemed startled and said«I’ll call her». I told her we were leaving. We went across the street to Shrimp Boat and it was amazing. This was my second attempt to go to Red Fork. The first time I couldn’t get the owner’s(?) attention as she talked to someone outside. I don’t think I’ll be back.

The oxtail here is to die for… The chef is really nice and friendly and the food is very good. The servers not to friendly, but I hope they get a better attitude next time. Is a small place but the oxtail if worth the trip and is great way to support local businesses and help them grow. Just a way for me to say a positive review and also pointing out what they can improve.

I went there today,(July 1, 2014), and did not receive a warm welcome. I wanted to order the jerk chicken but wanted to substitute the plantains for rice instead. The lady that was there proceeded to tell me that she doesn’t like to do that and how I can pay for a side of rice instead. Eventually she let me substitute the plantains for rice but at that point I wasn’t too happy. The wait time had to be at least 30 – 45 minutes, but the jerk chicken was pretty good. Would I go back? Probably not.

I hate that the best Conch Stew I’ve ever had is in Brandon Florida. I hate even more that the only Conch Stew I have ever loved is in Brandon Florida. I just don’t know how many excuses I can make to visit Brandon Florida. And here’s a note to the previous reviewer who complained about the greeter. .. live a little tootsie roll. .. it’s a wild world out there. Sometimes people are in the kitchen.

Well developed flavorful food. Even the rice was good! But there is no hostess or greeter. We couldn’t find a menu.

Curry shrimp was awesome! Big succulent shrimp and cooked to perfection! My husband loved the Jerk chicken and was impressed by the extra peppers that the owner gave him! This is definitely a restaurant that I will revisit… very soon!

What a great Brandon find! The restaurant is small, quaint and tastefully decorated(the walls are… wait for it… red). There is also an outdoor patio for nice weather dining. A friend of mine went to the Ribbon cutting a few weeks ago and raved about the Jerk Chicken and plantains, so we decided to give it a go. I love Caribbean food and this place did not disappoint. The chef/owner is from Antilles and personally came out to thank us for coming in and make sure everything was to our liking. The Island conch salad was very good and was topped with stewed conch, not fried. You could tell the quality as it was not«rubbery» the way can get but still had a nice texture and it was a nicely portioned salad with fresh greens, fresh avocado and veggies. Even better was the price at $ 5.75! My buddy had the stir-fried beef and chicken with rice and plantains and the flavor of the meats was very nice and not greasy the way some stir-fried meats can get. All in all, a very enjoyable and nice addition to the Brandon Restaurant scene.
