I had high hopes for this store but i would rather order online and you should too. Staff not the friendliest and the staff that kind of knows what he’s taking about is a complete a**whole. I called ahead of time and they told me yup we have that in stock i came in they do not carry the item. I then asked for a few other items and they went up and down the store looking and i found it before the man could like he didn’t even know what he was looking for. This could be a wonderful store for computer nerds but sadly it is not anyone with a brain cell knows you can find better deals online so you would think the customer service would be tip top but sadly it is not! save you money buy online Amazon/Newegg

The last time I went here, and by that I also mean last time I’ll be going there as well, I walked in about thirty minutes before the store closed looking for a particular video adapter. I walked around for five minutes looking to find it, which was impossible seeing how everything in this store seems to be merchandised in a just put it there randomness, so then I tried to find an employee to help me. Let me first say that I work in retail and so I have a few expectations when I walk into a store and one of those is when a customer is randomly walking around a store noticeably looking for something then it shouldn’t take long for an associate to approach them to ask if they need help. In the case of TigerDirect that’s not going to happen I passed five employees while I was there without even a «Hello» being spoken. Then when I finally did approach someone to help me I was told they didn’t know where it was but they would get someone to help me. As I said it was about thirty minutes before the store closed and there was about four or five other customers in the building so the fact that after more then five minutes there still was no one coming to help me caused me to give up and go to Walmart where I was able to find what I needed in two minutes.

A Geek store is a Geek store, and I love them ! Tiger Direct is a dream store for Geeks. All the techie and electronics you could want. Many choices for computers, screens, printers,…etc. And I even saw a display of «Frozen» dolls in case the kids get antsy. The staff however, were a bit clueless. We started the endless shopping experience for a CPU for my husband here. Not good, not what he wanted. We nearly bought a new wireless printer here, but I got frustrated with the greasy not very techie guy that helped us. I was teaching him stuff, and I’m OLD !! So we didn’t buy anything here. On the second trip here(yes we did go back) we bought a new computer screen. A spectacular 24″ beauty. No help needed for this purchase. Took it home, set it up, no sound. Forgot to check if there were speakers in it. Nope. Looked online, you could purchase an add on for about $ 35. Back to the store for a third time in 2 days, no add on. What? Help again was meh ! So home we went, got online and purchased one from Amazon for $ 23 ! Score! Good store, lots of «stuff», service iffy but you can easily get your Geek on here !!

#198 First place we checked on the great computer hunt. These guys did have a selection of towers but unfortunately none of them had everything I wanted but the staff was plentiful and helpful. They have lots of stuff here for the techie in all of us Unilocalers. Important factoid… this store is NOT in the Brandon Mall Bermuda Triangle.

I decided to check this place out vs waiting on mail order parts. Kind of mixed emotions about it. I needed a few pc components for an upgrade. After a few minutes of browsing through the pc section, an employee comes over and asks if I need help. I explain my situation and he shows me a couple of things. I ask about video cards because I don’t see what I want on the shelf. He says that they do have the desired item and tells me that it’s the stock version and gives me a price. Looking at the box, it was an overclocked version. I already know that there is going to be about a $ 40.00 dollar difference in the price that was quoted, but I’m ok with that. It’s on par with online retailers. Same thing with the processor. They quoted the price for the stock version, but when I asked for the unlocked version, they didn’t explain the price difference. Their prices were fair, but someone who doesn’t understand the differences may not think so. Bottom line is that they had what I needed and the staff was friendly. Oh, it is worth mentioning that they only carry newer items, but not bleeding edge components. At least not for motherboards. They have good item selection, but you won’t find a maximus 7 or any other x99 boards.
