Branson is in the southwestern portion of Missouri. If you’re interested in seeing any type of musical show… Branson is the place to be! For the 2 and a half days I was there… I saw a show every day. They’re musical/broadway shows. I hate to say it’s like a «poor man’s» version of NYC broadway shows… but the entertainment reminded me of like, cruise type shows. And, for me… there’s nothing wrong with that. I just think I’m a little jaded having grown up in NY and having seen shows like Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. But Branson is such a cool town regardless. The first day me and my father visited… they were having a free concert in the middle of town. The Platters, an old Motown musical group came on stage and sang«Great Pretender»! I absolutely love that song and my father grew up to Motown music so we were very happy. From there we bought concert tickets to a Motown show, and did a 50’s themed musical show as well. There’s other things to do in Branson as well for families. There’s a replica Titanic cruise ship which you can tour. They have a Hollywood museum to explore. An American Bandstand musical theater. You can ride the Branson scenic railroad which is located in the heart of town. And you can walk around central/downtown Branson to buy souvenirs, trinkets, and t-shirts to take home. Downtown Branson has a quaint/small town type feeling and it was fun to explore the streets. The city of Branson reminded me of Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee… if anyone has ever visited those cities, I think you’d find similarities in all of them Overall, I really enjoyed my time in Branson. The shows/concerts I saw were entertaining and truly brought out the real feel of what Branson, Missouri is all about. I would recommend visiting for a few days. My father and I drove from Memphis on a 3 city tour. But Branson has an airport which you can fly into. It’s also located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Missouri.

Ah beautiful Branson! Ah Branson, Missouri, Country Music Capitol of Missouri(SHOWMESTATE)! Very child friendly! I say Country Music Capitol of Missouri and not U S A, as I think Nashville is more known as Country Music Capitol of U S A! I been here three times, September/October 1999, December 2001, October 2006! The performers are so good! Not only that, during Christmas time, each the performers at some point, at some time in their shows, their performances, always ask the children come on stage with them! I did that December 2001! I remember Andy Williams, he may been in his eighties or his nineties, but he danced just as well with lots of energy with the children! At the end they always give candy canes and cookies! Candy canes I would give to others in our tour group, cookies I eat in the room! Best hotel of the three is Radisson or Raddison! Handicapped Rooms all on first floor, never had use elevators! Best restaurant was GOLDENCORRAL, yes I did my comments on Golden Corral here in Branson! The Nativity scene with the Rockettes(not sure if that right spelling), they had alive animals! Alive, not fake! My way to think, I touched sheep before, I touched donkeys before, so I touched the camel! He/she was very gentle I say that because if they get irritated, camels have a hard kick! So I touched the camel! Hey Eric(MARLINFISH) at Sacra hotel you knowing where, you knowing when, you knowing who! How that for your comments of Childlike Honesty? I touch the camel since I touched sheep and donkeys before, that is childlike yes? Come to Branson! Bring the children! Probably way more better than Las Vegas! Even one performer, someone ask him why he chose Branson and not Las Vegas, he say something to effect Branson is much more family oriented!

Worst vacation ever. Let me tell you why. The traffic is awful. The shows are not good and the theaters smell like a combination of mildew and depends. That may be because it’s mostly an old crowd. The great scenery that once was Branson has been replaced by Wal mart types and outlet malls. The beautiful hills have been destroyed, chopped off and paved. The shopping is mostly tourist junk made in china. We didn’t feel very safe either. Confederate flags fly everywhere. No diversity. We will never go back. Will go to Dollywood and the Smokies instead.

Branson, Branson, Branson. I want to use the words from a song to tell you how I feel. «Before you came into my life I missed you so bad, and you should know that!» I went here blind, almost no one I know had been here, and there was very little I could find on Unilocal or TripAdvisor to guide me. We said to ourselves«Well, we’ll do it the old fashion way and let the locals guide us». What was so amazing was the number of people we met while on our first week of vacation in Dallas who knew Branson and gave us useful recommendations. I feel blessed, I really do. I couldn’t have scripted our stay any better than it happened. The Ozarks are small mountains, more like hills… but I’ve never seen mountains with huge swaths of grass like these before. I found myself staring into the distances just imagining life with a modest home and fields of land for my family to live, run, play and enjoy. This was a fantastic experience, one we will not forget for a long, long time. There was so much more here than I expected, and the beauty was we could do everything or relax and do very little and would have been satisfied either way. Silver Dollar City & Marvel Cave were unexpected delights and so were the shows. We had such a good time and can’t wait to return to see more performances! I am really looking forward to seeing the acappella band Six. They have been the number one show for several years. The band performs with absolutely no instruments! It’s all beatbox vocals: But what we enjoyed most was this is a town for families. Nothing was inappropriate, everything was kid friendly and reasonably priced and best of all… the food here is GOOD! I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed everything we experienced here and eagerly anticipate returning. 13 hours is a long and strenuous drive from Atlanta, but Branson, you’re totally worth the trip. I know I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number… call me(maybe)!
