Residence Inn Branson

So, I’m a Marriott Platinum person, I hate to trash a Marriott but…
A year ago we stayed in this hotel, — we like Residence Inn for the extra room — and it was bad. Nothing worked, the pool was too cold for the kids, staff was not helpful at all… really a bad stay. Was the told the place is being updated, so no need to fix stuff.
So jump ahead a year, we trying it again this last week… thought we would try it again, the condo we like was rented for the end of the week. My daughter stepped on some glass… had to get the front desk up to clean it up… The room was not that clean… NOTE: painting over the marks on the wall, not fixing them is not updating or renovations… The halls had all kinds of trash in them. I can go on but… I’ll cut it short, you get the idea… run
This Marriott is on the top of my list of places I will never stay at again… I’m stocked it still has a Marriott name on the front of the building.
Any Place in Branson is better…

The furniture is way out dated and we were not impressed at all. We asked the front desk where to order a pizza. We ordered from the menu in the room from a pizza place. It was terrible. I would not recommend this to anyone. My husband and I won’t be staying here again.

Off the main drag and priced in the $ 100-​$ 150 a night makes this hotel tempting and perhaps a decent deal at first glance. It’s a shame that this hotel is poorly executed. We almost exclusively stay at Marriott hotels and this one has to be one of the worst.

Away from all the noise on the main drag.
Big rooms
Convenient parking
Late check out
Comfy rooms
Small kitchenettes.
CONS:
Dated rooms
Furniture doesn’t match
Cloudy/​dirty pool
Weak Breakfast.
With so many options in Branson, I recommend staying at the other Marriott in town for the same price.

I’m a platinum marriott member and we came to branson for a few last days of nice weather. With the 4 stars rating here we thought we were picking a reasonable place to stay. I honestly can not see how this is a fair rating. The hotel itself is expected to undergo renovations this fall – much needed. However my concern is the dirtiness of the facility. Our room was not clean. The couch itself visibly was dingy/​dirty. The bathroom had dirty doors and a bloodspot in 2 spots. When folding out the couch for my boys to sleep there were crumbled crackers all over it. To top it off there were Only 2 hand towels. No regular towels or wash rags. No mat for the bathroom. I didnt realize it until we were going to bed. I phoned the front desk to ask for towels and he said ‘i’ll have to see if I can find some’. Acted annoyed and did not apologize at all. He then NEVER brought us any. Breakfast is basic and unless you like cereal or waffles (if they can remember to restock the batter) then I recommend going out for breakfast or buy soem to cook in your room. Plenty of room to sit for breakfast which was nice. The oatmeal was burnt. The biscuits were stale/​hard. Just couldn’t eat it. They do have an indoor pool and hot tub. Although clean, the jets on the tub don’t work and the pool was freezing. They also only provide tiny workout towels to dry off.
Just disappointed. We’ve stayed at nice residence inns. This one needs a lot of updating and improvement on the cleanliness. Will choose the other marriott next time or jump ship to Hilton. It is quite a ways from the heart of Branson activities as well.
Suggestion — Would wait until after renovation before trying.

Clean room. Enjoyed waffle sundaes on check-​in day. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations.

Very nice staff. Room was okay, needs updating. Comfortable bed. Nice kitchen area. Hard to sleep with sounds from basketball being played outside my window. Also, pool chemicals are so strong I couldn’t stay because my eyes hurt so bad I had to keep them closed! Jets in hot tub point straight up and are stuck that way so all the water overflows. Continental breakfast is okay, not wonderful.

This Marriott Residence Inn was good and we came here for the weekend to watch some shows here in Branson, MO. This was located near a lot of other hotels which was not bad. The parking lot was not bad and plenty of parking in the back. They had complementary breakfast from 6:30am to 9:30am on Mondays through Fridays and 7am to 10am on Saturdays and Sundays. It was like any other complementary breakfast I’ve had before so the food wasn’t bad.
The room we got was nice in my opinion. There were two separate bedrooms with two separate bathrooms. There was a kitchen that included a coffee maker, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. In between the two bedrooms was the TV and fireplace. Each bedroom had a TV so that was nice.
The staff here were friendly and helpful on letting us know nearby restaurants that we could check out. I thought this place was good and would recommend it if it’s in your price range.

We spent a night at the Residence Inn over Labor Day Weekend. The room was spacious and offered plenty of amenities. However, our bed was as hard as a rock leaving us with the feeling that this was a great location for cooking a meal between shows or a boat trip, but not a fabulous place to sleep.
However, we greeted by a wonderful staff and had plenty of towels. All in all, it was a nice stay.

I’m surprised by the 4 star reviews! We stay at Marriott Residence Inn frequently, and this one is NOTHING like the rest! We stayed at the Residence Inn in Springfield for a night and it’s just as we’ve come to expect… clean, beautiful, great breakfast including many healthy options, professional and friendly staff. The Branson location feels very old with «almost» remodeled rooms (furniture is still oak laminate and the tub/​shower/​lighting in bathroom seemed really old, but the walls and kitchen and bedding are nice, other than terrible pillows… bring your own!). The front desk area is full of clutter and cheap laminate cabinets and the front desk staff uniforms look more like outdated and falling apart housekeeping shirts. Come on people… buy some polo shirts or something, time to update. The dining area is OK. Plain, but OK. The housekeeping was good, typical of most Residence Inns. The pool is so much smaller than photos made it appear, and the tile and grout is in need of replacing, the pool area is very old and feels like a large laundry room. This was disappointing as our kids love to swim in hotel pools and even they said it was «yucky». The breakfast was cheap food and there were no healthy options. I was shocked that the only yogurt they offered was «trix» yogurt that was full of sugar and hot pink/​neon yellow. The only fruit (other than canned fruit cocktail) were granny smith apples, no melon or bananas like other properties. Other properties also offer adult yogurt and granola, but not this one. Oh, and no hot chocolate packets or flavored coffee creamer either, just half and half. The breakfast staff person was VERY cranky every morning and we even heard other guests talking about how she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The biscuits and gravy and the waffles are the only redeeming food at the breakfast, but they waste so many plastic cups by filling them with batter and putting lids on, only to be thrown away. Other properties have a batter dispenser and a cup to fill over and over so there is no waste. Other than being a very cheesy, outdated (other than previously mentioned updates) rendition of Marriott residence Inn, the very most shocking part of our stay was having our breakfast interrupted every single morning by people trying to sell us show tickets. I’m not kidding, they come right to your table as you’re eating and try to sell you tickets, and it’s a very hard sell! One was a magician selling his own show, another was a guy selling some morning show and we said no thanks and he said the kids would love it and started acting out part of the show but our youngest just looked scared of this weird guy and our teenager said «Awkward!» After he left. I can’t believe this is allowed to go on, and I’ll be letting the corporate offices know that nobody wants to be solicited. I doubt corporate even knows, the property managers probably just get a kickback on sales. It’s just so Tacky. Anyhow, I rarely write reviews, and I think this may be my first on Unilocal,but we were so disappointed and I wanted to warn other loyal MRI guests that this property is NOTHNG like you would expect. Everyone should do themselves a favor and stay at the Springfield location a half hour north. The extra drive into town will be well worth it for the upgrade in hotel experience. We will be staying in Springfield for our next Branson trip for sure! Silver Dollar City and White Water are favorites of ours, and well worth driving a half hour from a much better property:)

We just got back from a weekend away at Branson and were pleasantly surprised by how nice this inn was. The room was large and clean, newly remodeled. I had read the other reviews that the breakfast was good, but that didn’t do it justice. This is a full buffet. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, cereal, waffles, the works.
They are also very accommodating. If you forget something like toothpaste, they give it to you. Great for families for sure, with the large rooms, indoor pool and amazing breakfast. We will come back.
