Buffet was average, service was splendid. Granted we were 1 of only 3 couples there. I’m the kind of guy who loves to be asked several times if things are going well. The waiter really seemed to care. The only reason for 4 stars is it was a bit more then I expected to pay 13/per and the bathroom locks didn’t work. There was also no paper towels, otherwise typical and delicious buffet.

Four of us stopped at the Wheelhouse at about 6PM. We ordered drinks, and the onion rings and homemade potato chips as appetizers. The onion rings were fine; the potatoes a bit soggy. I would comment on the dinner, but we never got it. After about a half hour we told the waitress we had a 7:30 show. Again about 15 minutes later we reminded her. After a little more than an hour without our dinners, we paid for what we had gotten and walked out. The restaurant was not particularly busy, so we could not understand why there was an issue. Each time we asked we were told it would be right out, but dinner never appeared. There was never an explanation. The menu is typical southern roadhouse with a weird exception: there’s an Indian menu. Since I’m rarely with people who would go to an Indian restaurant and I love Indian food, that’s what I ordered. I would guess the«chef»(if they have one) is from South Asia. Alas, I cannot comment on the quality of that food…

DON’T EATHERE. My family and I ate here during Labor Day weekend. We all got the buffet.($ 35 per person This was not on the menu or mentioned.). Most of the buffet was salad and pudding. As far as the seafood most of it was fried to include coconut shrimp that was very dry. Also my wife said the crab cakes were dry as well. They had snow crab but there was only one or two clusters in the pan each time I went to the buffet. Very disappointed. If you want to spend this kind of money just go to Landrys just up the road.

We walked inside before reading the reviews. Then we saw the reviews and got nervous. It was 1230 on Friday and we were the only people there for lunch. Another bad sign. The staff, who we had all to ourselves, were very friendly and attentive. Some of our party had the buffet and said it was good. I had the catfish and it was great. My wife had the coconut shrimp and it was great. So, other than an empty big restaurant, the food was really good.

Honestly, this place is horrible!!! The place says«Catfish and Wings» but you get in there and they have a whole page of Indian food. Ok, I was a bit weirded out that I was the only person in the place and the waitress was a bit slow. But after talking to her, I found out she is only 15 and this is her first job. I asked about the fish and she was not real confident to tell me it was good, but did tell me the cooks were Indian and that is why there was a page of Indian food and that it is good. Since I love Indian food and live in Denver with GREAT authentic food, I decided to go for it. Well it is highly over priced for what you get and terribly disappointing. We ate there at 3pm in the afternoon. My small chicken birani was not good at all was 13.99 and the NaN bread was burnt. My son got a cheeseburger. He is 5 and loves burgers, would not eat it. Told me it was the worst cheeseburger ever. My husband has always told me not to enter a restaurant if im the only one in there. i know why i will follow that advice in the future!!!

Stay away from this place, seriously. We stopped in on a Tuesday a few minutes after noon and even though only one other table was being used we had to wait nearly five minutes to be seated. Not a good start. We all decided on cheeseburgers since everything was priced higher than we would normally spend on lunch and the kids meals are priced ridiculously high compared to what other places charge. The burgers were on the small side, not as big as what you would get at other restaurants. We did however get a few laughs from the menu as they served«stakes» instead of steaks and the children’s meal inlcuded a drink they called«milke». The only thing that keeps me from giving it one star was the waiter, Tony. He was very friendly and always kept our glasses full.

This is your basic southern restaurant with… well, what it serves is stated in the name. We ordered both with a side of coleslaw and cheese curds. The catfish was fresh(not frozen) and a thicker cut than a lot of other restaurants we’ve been to. We personally prefer bone in catfish, but this was still good. The chicken wings were judged to be incredible by my husband. He likes it just cooked and very moist, and that is what he got along with a pretty tasty jamaican sauce. The coleslaw was good though you got a meager amount. The hushpuppies were house made, and fine. The cheese curds were… well, i thought that cheese curds were a natural by-product of the cheese making process. These appeared to be american cheese… and we all know that’s not cheese. Skippable. So the food was average, but what makes this place stand out is that the experience is just so… organic. Though it was not that busy for a Friday night, I could see that locals come here to enjoy the atmosphere. There was a country duo onstage that was getting a few of the locals to rip it up on the dance floor. People were just hanging out, enjoying their evening. I really had fun. The restaurant has a bit of an unfinished quality to it. Perhaps b/c it only recently opened. There were plastic tubs lying on the tables, and the space seemed quite large for its function. The staff had not been completely trained yet. Our server forgot our silverware, and took a long time even getting us napkins. It’s likely that she had no waiting experience. I would think that this restaurant will gain popularity as it works out the wrinkles and some lackluster items on the menu. We would def consider returning for the music and atmosphere. Reasonably priced considering that it is Branson and you are getting live entertainment. O, a little quirk with the menu that I forgot to mention: There is an entire indian page. I didn’t consider ordering it b/c it was a bit expensive and… well, come on. Catfish and Wings is what we came here for.
