How am I just discovering Higher Grounds now? This place is just as charming as it gets, even in its peculiar 2nd-story-of-old-bank location. Two Ladies in the Attic gift store is attached and makes it difficult to not browse while contemplating what kind of nibbles or drinks to order. My daughter and I stopped in on a whim and enjoyed the eclectic vibe, yet down-to-earth feel of the place, not to mention the croissant as big as her head stuffed w/bacon, egg and cheese. They also have a deli counter with meats and cheeses, along with bunch of local pickled items and condiments, and from the looks of the chalkboard menu, I need to return for lunch. And how cute is it that they’ve recently begun offering drive-thru service using the old bank teller windows?

I frequently eat at Higher Grounds, the food is great and the people are friendly. Everything is prepared fresh so you will have to wait for it to be prepared, but it’s well worth the wait. They were closed for a few weeks recently for remodeling so I had to eat elsewhere, which made me realize how really good there food was. I could not wait for them to reopen. I think I ate there everyday the week they reopened, I look forward to many more visits to Higher Grounds.

Stopped here to get a cappuccino after a procedure at NGHC. While the venue is a bit odd(its in the 2nd floor of a business building) the coffee and atmosphere is great. My only complaints are that its not open on the weekend(so that I can share it with my wife) and that it doesn’t have a FB page. I hope this local business flourishes.

Great coffee, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere. Love the fireplace in the dining area and I’m looking forward to the patio as warmer weather approaches. Board room and meeting room are also available.

Delicious food and friendly service. This company is founded on Christian principles and donates all of their tips to local causes. Fun and comfortable atmosphere with items to shop and room to catch up with friends.

Folks here are really nice but that’s not enough for me to come back. Coffee is ok and smoothies are good. I’m not sure if the grilled cheese has vaunted but it was literally supermarket sliced cheese– not melted– and some other fairly flavorless add ins. W elect the pimento cheese on the plate. It didn’t have any pimentos that we could see and the cheese was far too mild to make a good spread. Maybe other items are better but a $ 38 lunch for 2 kids and 2 adults needs to be better to get me back in he door.

Nicely decorated. Very good coffee and choices of coffee. Pretty good tasting food(depending on what you get – panini bread is way to hard to eat; croissant was fine) BUT over-priced for what you get. Would have better business and I & friends would be «regular» customers if business added lunch specials and/or daily specials. There are so many other choices for lunch. More restaurant choices added monthly in the same area.

Just stopped by for coffee for the first time and like this place! Will need to bring the wife back when we move to the area soon. Coffee selection good but a pleasant surprise was the great sandwiches.

I was looking for a local coffee shop while my husband & I were traveling & came upon this after looking on Unilocal. We almost missed it though as I didn’t realize it was on the 2nd floor of an office building. So glad we didn’t though because their coffee was delicious! I had a latte which was very good and on impulse we bought their homemade 2 for a $ 1 cookies. Both the chocolate chip pecan & oatmeal raisin were wonderful! If we had known that they served lunch we would have eaten there but I’m sure we will return in the future. Very friendly staff, too!

Small, little coffee shop. Located upstairs at this location. Staff very friendly, they have great coffee, smoothies and sandwiches. Best thing is they donate all tips to charity, which I think is top notch. I stop here several times a week, and try something new every time.

Terrific surprise near Road Atlanta! Good Cappuccino, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I expected the last one, but was fully expecting«less-than» coffee. Instead, nicely rich beans and fresh Espresso.(And I’m a Coffee snob!) It’s in a weird spot: 2nd floor of former bank building. But if you’re in the area of Château Élan or Road America, it’s a great find.
