The burger and fries are great no complaints. If you are comparing this to shake shack you are right but is that really a problem?

Not bad… A lot of reviews comparing BB to Shake Shack, but Shake Shack is better. However, pulled pork loaded fries are nonexistent in NYC and I am loving it right now!!! :) Definitely would recommend this place before other joints.

Great place, great food! I always get the black bean and quinoa burger — it’s awesome and the fries are outstanding. Quick friendly service. I live in NH but I will be back!

Food was decent… I have been a chef for years. I never wore gloves in fine dining. However the three guys with backwards hats dirty shirts and filthy aprons need to be wearing gloves. How can you hit a home run with décor and concept and let something like being a sanitary open kitchen get passed you. Same thing when it was Milagros, great concept and good food but I got sick watching them make the food!!! No joke my bun had three finger marks in the top where the line cook pushed down on it with his gloveless hands… If stations were clean and Sani buckets were out I would say ehh. Please evaluate this as a positive as it is a very easy and trainable fix or hide your kitchen!

Awesome burgers and sides! My boyfriend and I shared fries and onion straws and I recommend you try the same. I’m pregnant… it was heaven :)

Average burger. But the bigger issue is the intellectual property theft from Shake Shack. They took the logo, the trays, the way the burgers look, the napkin dispensers, everything. You really couldn’t think of anything original to do with your burger place? And the food isn’t that good. :-(

Came as a group of five. We got a variety of burgers and hot dogs and they were all very good. The fries weren’t great but not bad. The nice thing about this place is in addition to the normal stuff they have some creative burger and hot dog combinations. All in all a nice place for a Sunday lunch.

Service was good, fairly quick. Nice casual atmosphere. Burgers were OK, not anything spectacular. Disappointed that fries were not included with burger for price, especially considering small size of burger. Mocha shake fantastic! Fried onion strips were great but a bit too salty.

Been here a few times over last month or so. Burgers are very tasty. They have special sauces to dip in french fries. Kinda pricey for a small cup. 85 cents. When I asked one of cooks about sauce he said, oh they didn’t give you a free one? You should get a free sauce with every burger and fries order. He apologized and gave me coupon for free cheeseburger next time.!! My son tried the mint milkshake last time. It was only so/so.

First things first: I feel very uncomfortable about the pretty blatant intellectual property theft going on with Brattle Burger. Ever been to Shake Shack? BB is pretty much a carbon copy. From the logo, staff shirts, and brushed metal trays, to the smooshed patties and the wax paper bags they come in, BB has a lot of balls saying they serve ‘honest food.’ I know they are hardly taking business away from Shake Shack, and SS is huge, multi million dollar business, but it sticks in my craw when credit is not given where it is due. That said, I have been to BB and eaten their burgers(what can I say, I like burgers). But I have been disappointed in the declining quality. It started out pretty good, but I went this evening and my turkey burger was TINY, my beer was flat, and my fries were mostly tiny bits left in the bottom. My husband really enjoyed the cheese burger with all the trimmings on previous visits, but even this cornerstone of their menu has gone down hill, with a bunch of said trimmings missing, and no explanation. My issue with the Shake Shack imitation has made me uneasy enough that I don’t think I will go back, and now it seems I won’t be missing much.

So happy that another restaurant in town was closed for cleaning so we could discover this place. My husband got the basic cheeseburger and, being a typical West Coast person, immediately declared that it was better than In N Out. Huge marks on that. I got their special hot dog the salsa dog which came with pepper jack cheese, salsa(duh), jalapenos and siracha mayo. I am not the biggest fan of hot dogs, but I was craving one, and if every hot dog I could have would be their salsa dog, I would be a hot dog lover for life. The fries were okay – they definitely rely on the array of sauces. My husband had their chipotle and commented that it was a bit bland. I had their Vermont fry sauce which is their version of honey mustard and it was very good. Prices – in Colorado every other unique burger joint has the same prices if not more expensive, so we were not deterred. Unfortunately they lost a bit with their service. We were stopping in town, never been to Vermont before, and the girl that was taking our order was not the most helpful. Was a little bit short when I asked what Vermont fry sauce was. Either way, we recommend.

Basic burger joint. Cute décor and very clean. A few complaints: I asked for my burger well done, and it was pink on the inside. Onion strings were very tasty, but could’ve been crispier and less greasy. The salmon patty was too mushy and fell apart very easily. This place is ok, but could become great if they worked on quality control a little more.

Have been here a few times and brought family here recently. Burgers are outstanding… i like mine rare to medium rare, and thats what i got ! The quality of the meat was exellent as well as the condiments, with lots to choose from. The ‘onion strings’ are just amazing. Addicting. They made me break from my diet… again ! Well worth it. The Brattle Burger is now a destination for us. The staff equals the food…5STARS !

I ate here yesterday and loved it. I’m reading many complaints about prices, but compared to where I live, down in the Valley, the Valley so Amherst, we pay more. This felt just right to me. I LOVED my burger, pink and juicy on the inside, slight crust on the edge, very flavorful and fresh. I feared the bun would be run-of-the-mill and disappointing as I find at Local in Noho, Mass, but it was very fine. I did not get fries, but appreciated the sample at the counter. I loved them and I loved the sauces. Very nice that you get to try them before ordering – it’s efficient, wise, and appreciative of the customer. I got a salad which was very fine, especially for a burger place. Fresh and tasty. I did not have to wait long for my order. I liked the seating. The only complaint I have is that I’d like to see separate bins for compostable… maybe this is a pain in the ass for a business, but I’ve seen it other places. It would be icing on the cake. I hope Brattle Burger has a booming business over the next year or two so they can open a location down in Amherst. SERIOUSLY. I am not 100% pleased with Local or our new Metacomet Café. This place is just right. I will def be back when I’m in Bboro.

Shake shack meets Vermont, a cute, cozy and yummy combination. The space is roomy and open, with lots of natural light. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items. As a vegetarian, I always appreciate a good veggie option(especially one not drowned in cheese) and they definitely have one! The quinoa and black bean patty is soft and very flavorful, mine topped with cooked onion, lettuce, sprouts and tomato. It also comes topped with their«Bratt» sauce which is essentially a mixture of everything delicious you could possibly want on a burger. I also got an iced tea lemonade, which was lightly sweet and delicious. The side salad was very yummy and not a throw away like so many burger joint’s salads. The dressing was light and refreshing that went perfectly with the fresh lettuce. Overall, I will definitely be back!

Stopped at Brattleburger with friends and we were very happy with their burgers and fries. Both beef and veggie burgers were juicy and flavorful with fresh toppings. Portions were on the small side for the prices. The veggie burger was a big downer, bland and tasteless. Fries were really good, and the sweet potato fries a cut above. Very crisp and delicious. Service was slow and the ordering system somewhat confusing for first timers. This caused a bottleneck when you enter. Overall we would go back for the burgers and fries. With a few changes this could be a great stop.

First, let me say that I’m tired of entitled whiners leaving bad reviews because of petty grievances. Chet L. – who left a scathing review – is a crybaby. «Waaah! The staff called me a liar!» Get over yourself, Chet. While the employee’s response was inappropriate, so is Chet’s characterizing the entire staff as rude because of a three second interaction with one person. Now, on to the meat of the review(no pun intended, because that’s not a pun. it’s basic wordplay, people): Awesome burgers. This is HQ fast food, so expect assembly line cooking with fresh ingredients. Think«Five Guys» and you get the idea. Yes, this is not an «upscale» burger like at Flat St. or Whetstone. And, yes, you terrible Americans, despite its fast food vibe, you will have to pay more than at McDonald’s. Think of it as a modest fee to have meat that hasn’t got shit in it. But the burgers are rad, especially with the Bratt Sauce, and the fries are done perfectly. Don’t believe me? Here’s what my children say. First, the girl: «I was so glad there was gluten free buns and they had a great idea to have the bun for my GF grilled cheese sandwich!(which was very good in fact) While you’re eating and while you are waiting for a conversation to be over you can look at the interesting pictures. I had so much fun, can’t wait to go back again.» And now, the boy: «this food was so good i was like OHMOTHER Of GOD’ this Chet guy is THE lier the staff were awesome, the food was fan-flappy-tastic (i hate the saying fan-fairy-tastic) And i like the way you can see whats going on in the kitchen(it also smells good) the set-up is great and as MR. Burns would say „eeexcellent“. what i find kind of funny is that they liked the counter from the last restaurant so they kept it but they have a big olé milagros logo slapped right there for every one to see» There you have it. The opinion of one man and his two children. We will have more to say in the future about other things, and probably just for fun we’ll troll Chet and those of his ilk, because that’s how we roll. Speaking of rolls, Brattle Burger uses Martin’s Potato Rolls, my favorite hamburger roll.

I enjoyed the food. I had a burger with mushrooms and swiss, as well as fries with Vermont Fry Sauce(honey mustard with maple) and a soda. It was over 10 dollars. I asked to have regular mayo on my burger but they only have chipotle citrus or their Bratt Sauce(as far as I can tell just a mixture of all known condiments plus relish-which I was not willing to risk on my burger). That was kind of disappointing. It’s a classic burger bar, why can’t you just have some regular mayo on tap? Also, and maybe this is just me, I am really fed up with people putting maple in everything in this town. I understand this is Vermont but it has gone too far. One last thing for the road, even though they have fountain drinks, you have to get ice from an employee. When it’s busy that’s just inconvenient and irritating. Brattle Burger is obviously in the building that was previously Milagros, so the setup is exactly the same. I still have my same compliant with it, which is that ordering at a counter when you walk in bottlenecks the entire place. You inevitably enter into a swarm of people. They have added a second register which helps with the congestion but this is probably a problem they won’t be able to fix because of the kitchen/counter setup. And the acoustics are strange and it can be LOUD in there.

Very disappointed. Needed some good food quick. Getting 2 straightforward burgers and one order of fries took an exceedingly long time. It cost $ 21. and the fry sauce I ordered wasn’t in the bag when my order was ready. I brought that to their attention and the cook said«no, it’s in the bag.» I double-checked, it was not in there. I told him seriously, it’s not in there. He then grumbled«well fine I guess you get an extra one» and begrudgingly handed me the small container that I had paid for. Seriously, the guy called me a liar over a 75¢ side of sauce. I’m not going to return there and I’ll dissuade everyone I know from doing so. Flat St pub or Whetstones are both nearby, with better food, prices, and staff that don’t insult you.
