Great burgers and fries at a reasonable price. Kids loved the mac and cheese. Nice selection of beer.

This place fuckin sucks. I was only kinda drunk and the male bartender was like, vodka tonic bitch. What? No! I’ll take a beer then. I understand getting kicked out of a bar but he had a fo-hawk. Bartenders shouldn’t have a fo-hawk. Plus he had a lazy eye. Never coming bsck

The beer selection always looks really extensive but every time I go it seems like it’s all IPAs. I also hate that the nachos are already kinda expensive but it’s pretty much just chips and cheese and then they charge more for like every single add-on. Not a lot of veg options on the menu.

Great beer and food. We had burgers, nachos, mussels and wings. All were great. Fries were soggy but that seems to be the trend in Brattleboro) Great selection of craft and US beer brands. I would give 5 stars however seating and service were below par.

I always get a burger at Flat Street. They are usually above average, but sometimes they are bad. The fries are not the best in town, but they are consistent. I always get the bacon jam, cheddar, and the sourkraut atop my burger, NOT the menu item that has those as well as potato sticks and mayo. The first one I got was over cooked. I had ordered it medium rare, so the next few times I went, I ordered it «rare» and it was perfect. Then one day, the rare burger I ordered came out… rare… my system-trick was finally foiled! Now I order them medium rare and pray for the best, which I sometimes get.

Friendly staff, Great tap selection, AMAZINGWINGS!!! I had an overall pleasant experience. My only complaint is that they get soooo busy, but now I know why!!! If you could double in size, I’d give you 5 stars!!!

As a longtime fan of this pub(first time reviewer), I gotta say I love it. No, the foods not great, nor the menu extensive. But it’s a simple pub that serves an excellent pint. Usually I’m there between 4 – 6(right as they open) when the atmosphere is subdued and mellow, with perhaps Cash Cab playing on the flat screen. Over the years the bbc selections have dwindled as guest taps have increased. This is not a problem for me as the steel rail would be the only bbc selection I enjoy. Overall a good place to grab a brew and some hot wings.

Recently we stopped in at Flat Street Brew Pub for a few drinks after a long day at work, and I have to say that we had a blast at this place. This was the second time that we had gone into the pub as a group, and it was great to be welcomed by the bar tender. He remembered our names from the time before, and actually remembered what we had purchased before. It isn’t often that you get service like that. The other great thing about this pub is that they have some pretty decent food. Minor critique is that the prices are a bit high, but overall the experiences we have had here have been great and we can’t wait to go back.

Well, I really think the flood took a toll on this business. I mean, it did on a lot of businesses and people, but the downstairs never re-opened(couldn’t insure it) and the hours and menu have been cut back. Still a nice place for a pint but it has lost a lot of the energy it had, and much of the beer selection. Sad.

Stopped in here before a show at the Latchis Theatre and found, to my vegetarian heart’s surprise, an utterly FANTASTIC veggie burger. It’s homemade with mushrooms, grains and other itens I cannot name that combine into a melt-in-your-mouth delicious(huge!) veggie burger. I’m coming back for this one next time I’m in town!

Have to wonder if they really want business after shows at the Latchis. Didn’t seem like it to me. Bartender not very attentive. Not to mention no speciality drinks.

Solid beer list, knowledgeable and attentive bartender, and good music. We only tried the poutine which was not very authentic or good, but I can’t speak for the other food items. Overall a good stop for beer break while wondering around Brattlebro.

Ever since my trip to Montréal, I’ve been a huge poutine fan. I did a search online and the Flat Street Brew Pub came up as serving it in Brattleboro so I made a special stop while in the area to check it out. The place was huge, and there seemed to be only one waitress working who didn’t notice we sat down so it took quite awhile to get her attention. The beer prices on the specialty beers are sky high so you’re better off going with something more pedestrian. Did I mention the service was slow? Very slow. We got nervous and my friend had to run out and put more money in the meter. The menu was okay. I was mostly interested in the poutine. We each ordered a burger with poutine instead of regular fries. My burger wasn’t that great but my friend loved his veggie burger(and he ate my burger later at home so it wasn’t wasted). The poutine was just okay. Not very authentic(I don’t think they used cheese curds which I understand because I always have to use an alternate cheese when making at home as cheese curds are hard to find). It was just okay, and not really worth the side trip.

A great choice if you are looking for casual and comfortable dining while in Brattleboro. Great old building with laid back atmosphere. The beers are not made in-house, but they have a solid list of local and regional beers, including Allagash white. Their burgers are top notch and feature locally baked rolls and grass-fed beef. Plenty of options for the burger toppings or many other options on the menu. If you are looking for a place to meet friends, kick-back, enjoy local beers, and have great food, this Flat Street should not be missed.

We wanted to grab a drink and snack before dinner and wandered into Flat Street Brew Pub. They have a nice selection or draft beers from Vermont and elsewhere, including many good craft beer options. We also tried the nachos, which were pretty good(and quite filling). This is a good place to grab a few drinks before dinner or to start or end your night.

4– stars because if I was at Flat Street it meant that I was in great company. Overall it probably only deserves 3 but for Brattleboro standards maybe it deserves 5– so I’ll stick with 4! In a «tourist town» like Brattleboro which only lives up to its name the 4 months of the year that aren’t winter there is an ever-revolving door of businesses coming in and out. I only lived there 9 months and witnessed way too many places close dow, re-open, and/or become something else entirely. I could go on and on about my suggestions for Brattleboro to break this trend but back to Flat St! This is one place that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and if it did I would be surprised. It was definitely a go-to spot for me and my crew. Some days were better than others in terms of service. They hire new people a lot which is both good and bad… it could be good if it meant bad staff was out and good staff was in but that has not generally been the case. It was always fun to get the wietbier of the season… until I got so accustomed to one and had to be disappointed when they’d run out. There is a large array of beer on tap. I never understood why some beers that were upstairs were not available downstairs in the restaurant and vice versa. Both times I tried the fries I thought they were mushy and gross. The vegan burger was horrible the first time and stupendous the second but really I mostly just drank here and those times were generally a hit with beer… and often a miss if I ordered anything else.

Great assortment of beer which is what the four stars is for. A sampler of 55oz. beers is a mere $ 6. My favorite was a coffee porter. I also had the Drayman’s porter, Lost Sailor, River Ald, and a stout. The coffee porter was superb. We ordered a quesadilla as an app to share. It was OK, but nothing special, so we figured to keep it to the beer.

Went here for the second time last Saturday. Sat down around 6:30pm and the place already had a decent sized crowd. By 8pm, it was pretty packed. We got several rounds of BBC beers. $ 5.50/pint is a little steep, but they are imperial pints(20 oz). Recommend getting the«palette of 5» to get a sampling of the selections. Recommend the River Ale, Coffeehouse Porter, and the Imperial Stout. My biggest gripe is the food. Keep in mind, the pub only serves a limited menu of appetizers and a few sandwiches/burgers, but the prices were not worth the amount you actually get. For example, we ordered a chicken quesadilla. The menu explained that it was a 12″ quesadilla for $ 12($ 9.50 + $ 2.50 for chicken). In my mind, I expected a full sized quesadilla… or 8 «slices». It ended up only being«half» a quesadilla(4 slices). The ingredients were delicious and super fresh… but then didn’t quite make up for the price. We also got the beef chili… which was excellent. Price was a little more reasonable at $ 6 and came with tortilla chips for dipping.

Food selection wanting… Beer awesome. The imperial Stout was very good, and the beer sampler at 6 bucks was well worth it. The service was a little slow, but the place is obviously understaffed. The server was very attentive to our toddler, which was cool. The food selection was limited – not a dinner destination, but perhaps good just for apps. I ordered the bean dip – layers of beans, cheese, guacamole, jalapenos, and sour cream, Not bad at all.

I absolutely love this place. Great selection of beers on tap — impeccably chosen and rotated frequently. Tons of Berkshire Brewhouse Company(BBC) beers… more than I even knew existed. It always for a unique experience every time I come home and visit. The pub is decorated with couches and some high-top tables. Of course, you can choose to sit in the bar area as well. It has a cozy feeling, the crowd is an interesting mix of young and old(mainly local) and every time I go I seem to run into old faces.
