STAYAWAY!!! Rude overpriced horrible service! They ruined my shirt and said it was my fault that I took it that way. I am never coming here again! Karma is a bitch and by the looks of all the Unilocal comments looks like I’m not the only customer they have lost!(if it was my choice I would of rated them 0 stars!

They lost my $ 100 shirt in August and gave me wrong one instead — I returned it to them asking to find the original shirt of refund it. I made about 5 – 6 phone calls, took a while to get in touch with the owner, and he promised to find the shirt or refund it — but never did. I kept calling and also wen to the store twice but was never able to get this resolved. Regardless of how service is when you do get your items back, this is enough to mark a unacceptable.

We have been customers here for over 5 years now. The customer service has gotten better over the years. Maybe there have been enough complaints about the bad attitudes of the staff from customers that the owner finally tried to hire friendlier employees? They lost my husband’s shirt once, but the owner was able to find it by check his security cameras. Overall it’s an average place to get dry cleaning done, but it is a little pricey.

Went to pick up my cleaning only to discover one of my blouses had been ruined. I dropped it off asking if they could get the black transfer from a sweater to my blouse off and they said they would try. Fair enough, but when I picked up my blouse the black stripe bled into the white stripe leaving a blue line and they argued with me that I dropped off the blouse that way. Where in customer service do we argue with the customer???

F STAY away. I wrote email to give owner a chance to resolve my concerns and no response yet. Horrible service pricing is not competitive. Damaged my clothes and horrible customer service.

Great service and an amazing staff. Been going here for 20 years and the quality of my clothing has always been exemplary. They really do a great job when it comes to my cleaning.

I had two shirts that got destroyed here. The buttons came off and there were areas of the shirt that had strange holes that looked like the hangers had worn through the shirt. Be careful about writing Unilocal reviews for this business as well. The owners son retaliated against my business by writing a negative Unilocal review. He hadn’t even been to my business. I had to involve Unilocal and attorneys. Weird situation that this company put me and my business in. I have since found a fantastic dry cleaner near my work and am happy to give them my $ 80 monthly.

Destroyed two dresses. Manager refused to discuss damaged. Both faded out. Matching belt was obviously showing the damage. Tried resolving, but now going to court for $ 500 plus time spend. Refused to provide business license, filing complaint with city. Alicison wouldn’t even take my number to try to resolve complaint. Stay away unless you want your clothing wreaked.

One of the worst dry cleaners I have ever experienced! My wife brought her wedding dress here to be dry cleaned. We asked the owner if they can do the dry cleaning for something so delicate as her wedding dress, since it had a lot of beading, pearls, and lace. The owner said they do wedding dresses regularly– so we decided to use them, since they are close to home. When we got the wedding dress back, it was ruined! The beads came off, the lace torn, etc. When we confronted the owner about it, he did not take responsibility for the damage. He said the wedding dress was poorly made! Mind you this is a designer wedding dress that cost $ 5000. He did not offer to pay for the repairs. He just said he will not charge us for the dry cleaning. Can you believe that?! Do not bring your dry cleaning here. They do a shoddy job– not quality. And no customer service. They don’t try and make the customer happy. Beware!

Have been a customer for five years now. Cleaning service is good, but not the lowest prices you’ll find in the area. The alteration service is poor, though the pricing is OK. Recently the dresser is almost never there. I sent in 2 pairs of pants a month ago for heming. I pinned the pants and provided written instructions for the preferred length of inseam. The pants first came back 2 inches too long; the store offered to fix at no additional charge. The second time the pants came back 2 inches too short. The manager is not there today. I will try to reach him tomorrow. Highly recommned you look for alteration service elsewhere.

The location is ideal and that is really the best thing about Gateway Cleaners. Yes, the clothes come back clean and pressed but the prices are high and the girls who work at the counter seem to be irritated that they have to provide service to customers. I have been there a half dozen times or so since I have moved into the area and every time I have gone up to the counter the best word I can use to describe the attitude I receive from the employees is «annoyed.»

I only come here because it is convenient as it is in the shopping center where I work. This place however, is a bit pricey, I can find some place cheaper near my home in La Habra. Secondly, the girls that work here have REALLYBAD attitudes. They don’t smile, no courtesy. You walk in and all you get is a «phone number?» Not even a dam greeting. Only come here if it is convenient.

I am the 9th person to rate this business and already the 4th one to rate this store with 1 star(worst rating possible). Almost half the customers ratings(4 out of 9) have had a significantly bad experience. I just moved to brea and wanted to find a cleaners that i could go to for all my cleaning needs. They messed up on alterations for a pair of expensive pants and when I tried to discuss it with the owner/manager(Neal), he was rude, said that he wouldn’t do anything about it, and also said that I’m «NOTEVEN A REGULARCUSTOMER». I just got off the phone with him and felt that I would warn anyone that is looking for a cleaners to look elsewhere. Therefore, I just signed up on Unilocal and am posting my very first review. –Definitely not customer first. –He didn’t want my business. –hope they give me my pants back –i typically give businesses another try but he said that I’m not a regular customer, so i just won’t be a customer at all. –maybe I’ll try seminary cleaners

A pleasure to do business with and will always try to honor coupons if you bring them in when you are dropping off items. I will continue to use Gateway as I have tried other cleaners in the area and none felt right to me. I have used Gateway for over 10 years now. Years ago I had a shirt go missing and weeks later the owner handed it to me, saying they searched their entire inventory knowing it was there. Truly something is never lost, just misplaced until the time is right to be found. They will sew buttons on for me at no charge and have patched many a ripped seam or tear at minimal cost.

Turned in eight sweaters and a tie with a stain. I forgot to tell them that the tie had a stain. When I got the tie back it was nice and clean. I’ve also had them sow buttons back on with perfection. The staff is pretty friendly too.

I took my ball gown in to get it cleaned before wearing it to the Marine Corp Ball in Virginia. They charged me double what they estimated over the phone(annoying but understandable). Somehow they managed to take out the zipper along the seam, continuing down about 2 inches past where the zipper ended. However, instead of telling me about it, they let me pay and walk out with it that way. When I saw it at home, I took it back and said that we had a problem… They offered to fix it for me but told me that I’d have to talk to the manager when I asked for my money back. I called the next morning and asked to speak to the manager, only to be told that he had«just left» and would be «in and out all day.» Although I left my contact information and a message, he never called me back. When I went to pick up my «fixed» dress hours later, he wasn’t there either. When I again asked for a refund for all of the stress caused, they refused to give me my money saying that THEY didn’t rip it. I asked if they were telling me that I brought in a pieced dress for cleaning and then asked them why I would do that. Like very good politicians they responded that they weren’t saying that I ripped it, but they didn’t do it… so I guess that means that the seam-ripping fairies got their hands on my dress when nobody was looking. They pointed out that they fixed my dress(like they had done me a favor) and sent me home. Of course, the«fix» that they did left threads sticking out to get caught in the zipper, obvious stitching over detailed lace, and was a really sloppy job in general. After all the hassle, I sent my gown to a proper seamstress and wore a different dress to the ball. Luckily, we were able to catch the owner(after they thought they had gotten rid of me, I guess) and he paid for the fix. I will never ever go back there.
