Jack In The Box

This is a decent Jack in the Box in Brea conveniently located on the southwest corner of Brea Blvd and Imperial Highway. The parking lot is pretty large for the small location. Inside, there isn’t that much seating, but it isn’t unpleasant. The staff there are really nice and I did enjoy my Sourdough Jack.

I generally love Jack in the Box. Literally just spent the worst 15 minutes ever in the drive through at this particular JIB because the manager would prefer to hold up the line and argue with a customer then to hand over two fu¢king tacos for free as stated on the receipt. I feel like I just got robbed of my time and dignity because this was over two tacos for 99¢!!
I placed my order for a chicken sandwich, fries, and two regular tacos which are usually 99¢ but because I did the survey on the receipt, they were supposed to be free. I let the cashier know at the time of my order that I had the survey. When I get up to the window and hand it to her, she tells me it’s not a valid code for the survey. «Okay…weird.» I did it myself and I’m pretty sure I did it correctly. But let’s just say I entered one of the digits incorrectly; are you still going to give me my tacos? She said no unless her manager approved.
The manager (Angie) comes over and tells me I need to go to the parking lot and fill out the survey and she’ll bring out my tacos. That was absolutely absurd to me and I wouldn’t waste my time that way normally, but because of how poorly she handled the situation, I elected to pay for my food so I could have a new receipt from that particular transaction and fill out a new survey based on that experience. I went to the parking lot and filled it out, she never came out with my tacos so I went back to the drive through (which had no other customers in line). I pulled right up to the window and handed the cashier my new receipt with the CORRECT survey code and she literally made me wait 6 more minutes for the manager Angie to approve it. WTF? I’m pretty sure they shit in my tacos or violated them somehow :/​By the time I got my two new tacos there was a long line behind me. I felt like a douche nozzle. Oh well, they thought they could make it all better by throwing in an extra order of fries for free. Nice gesture, but way too late and way too little to turn the situation around.
TL;DR This Jack in the Crack has a bad apple for a manager named Angie who delivered such a terrible customer service experience that I stopped being lazy and actually wrote this review immediately. I had to go to great lengths to get my two tacos for free!

I was craving for that new Cheddar and Onion Buttery Jack. All the JITB locations within a reasonable driving distance had a three star rating on Unilocal.This place had plenty parking available as well as plenty indoor seating for lunch on a Sunday. There was no wait to order. The guy who took my order was very professional. When I was getting my drink at the machine, there was no ice. You would figure with a fancy soda machine there would be ice all the time. I guess not! I noticed they had to put in ice into the machine from the ice maker in the back. The wait between me placing my order and getting my meal was about five minutes. After getting my order, I over heard the manager tell her employees to push out the orders quicker. As for the taste of my burger and curly fries. They tasted great! I went to the men’s restroom to wash my hands, the restroom had graffti etches all over the sink. Overall, I had a good experience and I would come back here.

They stopped offering the Mozzarella sticks so we don’t have any reason to go there any more. The food is otherwise mediocre at best.

This jack in the box has to employ the DUMBEST group of idiots i’ve ever seen at one fast food chat. 3 out of 4 of the last times I went I have ordered a «Jack’s Spicy Chicken Sandwith w Cheese» the god damn sandwhich has had no cheese. I know… shame on me for not checking at this point… But your ONLY job is to read order, put food in bag! It was even «correct on the screen». If that isn’t enough, I also ordered an eggroll and some chicken nuggets. When I get to the window, the «manager» asks me… «What kind of sauce for the nuggets?». I ask for bbq, «we dont have any bbq sauce.» wtf!!! okay… sweet n sour… «we dont have any sweet n sour». WTFFFFFF!!! why dont you just say «do you want ketchup for your nuggets?» cause thats all they f*cking had! Really? And you sell me an eggroll with no sweet n sour? Thats like standard pairings. I got my money back. Thanks for the waste of time Jack In The Box. Will NOT be back.

This is seriously one of the worst Jack in the Box’s I’ve ever been to. Too bad it’s so close to my house. They always mess up on my order or do things like not give me my drink or not give me my fries ETC. I could go on and on. I use to just go back and try again, but after last nights meal I’m done with them for good. They waaaayy over cooked the chicken on my sourdough chicken sandwich, barely put any sauce on it, and put the butt end pieces of lettuce on it. I was so pissed I threw it away and just ate my fries. About 30 min later I decided to go back and get my sandwich replaced with something better and the «Manager» gave me a really hard time about throwing the food away. First of all what kind of manager doesn’t apologize for putting out inedible food? Not one that wants to keep his job obviously! Okay, so I do understand about bringing the food back so they could see how awful it was, my bad, but he didn’t even apologies for it being bad or try to be accommodating to earn our business back. In a nutshell, TERRIBLE FOOD, AWFUL SERVCE!

Just your average Jack. There is not great about this location but there is nothing wrong with it. The worst would be the parking lot, it small.

I went to Jack in the Box for a chocolate shake, and when I order I’m told, «we are not serving shakes right now.» There was no signage indicating that after certain times of day only a partial menu will be served. I’m guessing they cleaned the machine early so when closing time comes it is quicker to get out the door. If the restaurant is not going to serve the full menu it should be noted on the menu. I couldn’t back out and leave because a car was behind me, and I then had to wait for 4 other cars to be served, which took about 15 minutes, before I could leave. It was very frustrating.

Unfortunately, hubby and I went for a late night walk. We tried to go at a bad time I know. BUT the dining hours posted on the doors said they were open till 1am! It was 12:44am. We were disappointed that both doors were locked early. We come here in the day enough for an occasional breakfast. He likes the 2 tacos surveys. The tacos haven’t looked very appetizing lately. The last one was dark and greasy. He says one tasted «fishy». Anyways, disappointed that when we went on a late night walk, they closed early. :o (

Holy curly fries. Took 18 minutes with no one in front of me in line for two burgers. I could physically see that the kids there did not care about getting things done right away. Very disappointing considering they’ve been good in the past.

This location usually gets my order wrong. The girl took my card and forgot and couldn’t find it for a few minutes and the coffee was burned. Not the best location but its close to my work.

diamondyelper says: whenever a commercial is even better when you eat it… then-​and-​only-​then is it worth a diamond. just try the big chicken bbq… it’s the one with the hat in the commercial. great commercial jack! the big chick is that good!

I am happy to report that this Jack In The Box has finally stepped up their game and is on par with all the JITB’s I have known and loved. I suspect this location is under new management, and if so, good on the new manager and staff.

This Jack in the box is nice & clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. As fast foods go, Jack’s food is better than most.

I seem to notice that I get the good, competent cashiers at night after 7pm. And when I went through their drive thru tonight, the usual really friendly cashier lady served me this time! And as I grabbed my bag I caught her name – Liz O.
She must’ve asked me if I needed sauces or other things like 3 times, she’s always very fast, attentive, and super friendly! I always enjoy her customer service and it’s always a treat to have her serve my food when I visit here! Thanks for always being so fast, friendly, and thorough!

this place is always friendly. even with the long drive thru lines, it moves very quickly! and the $ 1 chicken sandwiches always have fresh lettuce in it. can’t expect much from a fast food joint, but for the price/​value ratio, i love this particular Jack in the Box. the employees here are very well trained and courteous.

I’ve always liked Jack in The Box. The jr. bacon cheeseburger should win a nobel prize it’s that good and the prices are decent. The food isn’t like amazing but good, besides the jr. bacon cheeseburger. I love the fact that it serves breakfast at anytime. Only fast food place I know that does that. Good for me because I love the breakfast menu but I can never wake up early enough. Teriyaki bowl is terrible don’t get it over priced and doesn’t taste that great. Besides that I like Jack in The Box… besides the lady that works there. Everytime I ask for extra hot sauce for my tacos she gives me a dirty look and hands them to me and is like here in a mean voice. Geez. Well if I order 4 tacos and you give me 2 hot sauce packets that doesn’t really make sense does it do the math… but I guess if she was good at math then she would be over qualified to work there. Why do you have to give me a dirty look it’s not like they take away money out of your pocket if you give out extra hot sauce. Anyways I’m ranting. Overall decent place.

This is my go-​to Jack in the Box when I’m eating out for lunch. The service is always quick and friendly, even at the drive-​thru.
