I normally LOVE Lazy Dog and this review is for Curbside. I placed my order and was told at 1:30pm it would be ready. I arrived at 1:37 and called letting them know I was here.(With a puppy and newborn in the car) They stated that someone would be right out at 1:47 I called back and was apologized to and again told someone would be right out. At 1:55 someone came out to give me a rundown of my order and take my money — normally a exchange of cash is met with food. Nope then he went back inside. Five minutes later he returned with my order and stated they were busy and a casual sorry. A hour ticket time busy? Thanks for cold fries and a now pissed baby. oh and did I mention no Au Jus for my Beef dip

I have been to this location multiple times, with and without my dogs. Food is always pretty good and the atmosphere is fun. I love seeing all the pups on the patio. The location itself is kind of a buzz kill because the parking is so horrible during high traffic times. They have complementary valet though, just be ready to tip a few bucks.

The service is good. If you order Tai Noodles be careful of the shrimp. You do get a lot of then buy I had to clean 4 of then. The flavor was spicy but not hot. Also their Berry Crumble desert is tangy. The rubarb is very tangy but the vinilla bean ice cream is very good. That came with it.

Last night I had my first experience with Lazy Dog, overall, I would say the experience was five stars for a number of reasons: The service– extremely friendly and helpful. The environment– comfortable, clean, and the lighting is perfect. The food– reasonably priced and delicious but it wasn’t really too impressive, although I think it was prepared well and it did infact taste great, but the real wow factor was the desert. If you go to Lazy Dog, don’t leave without trying their white chocolate chip brownie!

Came here with a friend for the first time and was pretty satisfied. Happy Hour menu prices are awesome and the food was great as well! I would definitely recommend the sweet potato tater tots. It comes with a special sauce and the combination is unreal. Only reason I give four stars is because our water cups were empty most of the time we were eating there and our waiter was nowhere in sight even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Besides that, I highly recommend this place!

Five stars! They certainly earned them this visit. The service was outstanding! Our waitress was Tamara and she is simply the best. She never skipped a beat. She anticipated our needs every step of the way. We had the kale salad and found it to be very fresh and flavorful. The asparagus soup was also very good. Their fish and chips was one of the best I ever had. Amazing food. The décor is very cool with very comfortable seating. Cozy couches and a beautiful patio so you can bring your pooch. And you can order food for your dog! That was an all around fantastic experience in dining. We will definitely repeat many times over. My new favorite place to eat. I previously had a not so great experience on my first visit but the owner, Chris Simms reached out to me and his area manager Angelos made everything right and offered his sincere apology. Outstanding customer service! Thank you gentlemen. Thank you again Tamara.

Today Gregory was our server. Great attitude, great service. Had to wait while my dad and godfather were at wrong restaurant at islands next door. Had brussel sprouts appetizer and shrimp sweet and spicy. Excellent quality food. Guests had tortilla soup and wedge salad under $ 10! Thanks Gregory for putting up with us. Will ask for you upon our return! Thanks again.

We were there the first time and the manager came out to give us a compliment item for the first time guests. It’s really nice of the manager to give us a special welcome gesture. The food is good and the customer service is very nice, too. I’d definitelygo back there again.

My boyfriend and I decided on a last minute staycation in Brea, which allowed us to partake in #NationalTortillaChipDay. We decided on Lazy Dog, for their already amazingly good food and ambience, plus its proximity to where we bunkered down for the night. The bonus, upon entering the bar area, was discovering their late night, happy hour(after 9PM), and encountering a fabulous bartender, by the name of Wayne! My handsome fella and I, ordered a tall Coors Light and Pomegranate Sangria. Wayne was extremely friendly, professional, attentive, funny, and anticipated our needs ahead of time. Once we sat, he offered to re-wipe down the counter for us. He introduced himself and quickly took our order. I checked in on Unilocal of course, and scored the free flatbread appetizer. We then added our chips and salsa and asked for guacamole. Once th food came out quickly, he offered to grab us an additional guacamole, since the cup was on the smaller size. He managed to re-fill drinks, ask how everything tasted and shared in small talk. Such a pleasant way, to add to our evening, really. We know we’ll return to Lazy Dog soon, and will most likely, head to the bar and search for Wayne, when doing so!

Brew pub chain, but still a fun place to go with good food. It was cold and rainy when we went(after Black Friday shopping) — and it was good to get in someplace warm to sit down and grab a bite.

Open Late til 12am. My friends and I were looking for a place to eat on a week night around 9pm. Most places around Brea were closed but Lazy Dog closes at 12am ^_^. Love their menu, casual atmosphere and their late night Happy Hour. I always get their WOKFIREDCALAMARI $ 7HH. fried breaded strips of calamari tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce served on a bed of brown or white rice. It’s soooo good and the portion is big. If you don’t like sweet food, then don’t get it. My friends had BBQ spare ribs, Thai Chicken Salad, Fish and Chips, Artichoke Dip HH and 2 beers and they all really liked it. We only paid $ 74 excluding tip for 4 people. So cheap! My only complaint was the long wait to get our food. We waited over 45 minutes and they didn’t come at the same time. The place wasn’t too busy so not sure what took so long. However, our server was nice and on top of things. He even recommended some of his favs food and drinks. I still recommend this place and I will mostly stop by if I’m in the area!

3.5 stars I find myself keep coming back here because for some odd reason, my friends really like having our gatherings here. Since it’s a chain, I’ve been to a couple of their establishments but they are pretty much all the same. Pros: –Friendly service. From what I remember, the waiters are really great at giving suggestions, which is helpful since their menu is rather large. From my experiences, they are also kind enough go out of their way to divide the checks. That is really nice of them because not a lot of restaurants are willing to do that. –Great for larger parties. We came here during busy hours and they still accepted our group of 8 while other places immediately rejected us. –Large menu: they have so many food items and drinks to choose from. Vegetarian options are available and they even have several interesting non-alcoholic drinks. Cons: –The food quality isn’t that great, especially for the price you pay. Think of it as a little pricier than Yardhouse or BJ’s. The entrees were either too salty or too bland. None of them struck me out as amazing or unique. I think maybe since the menu is so extensive, they don’t really have a «specialty» food item.

DIET is a four letter cuss word in my book. But, I’ve been« Unilocaling»(my sibling’s definition of eating) too much, the pass couple of years. And they’re right. My sister(a nurse) has started rubbing my tummy for luck(I’m her Buddah now). My brother in law(also a nurse) also rubs my tummy and says«I think it’s about six month now, is it a boy or a girl?) hahaha. Too much of anything(even good food) is a bad thing I guess. So I’m on a «D» and it’s been hard to eat out(which we mainly do for meals) and find good food with low calories. Yes Salads, but I can only eat so much salad. Yuck! So I figured Lazy Dog would be the same, a chain restaurants where I can get a grilled chicken salad(boring!) Boy was I wrong. At the back of their menu, next to the lunch specials was a list of low(lower than their normal entrées calorie count) calories suggestions. Near the bottom I saw the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. What got me was two things. No salad and it was only 490 calories. Sold! Here’s the rundown: Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna«Served medium rare on house made cauliflower mash with roasted vegetables and coconut cream sauce topped with micro cilantro» This is the PERFECT diet food for me. Lol. The tuna was seared properly and cooked a perfect medium rare. That alone was already good. Underneath the tuna were petite cubed roasted veggies, yum! Underneath the veggies was the cauliflower mash YUMYUMYUM! Silky smooth and very flavorful, Delicious. And circling the place was this mild coconut curry that I could drink a gallon of, YUM! Put them all together in one bite and magic, so good! I only ate half and I was already full. My wife got the ½ sandwich ½ salad lunch. She had the Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich which was very meaty and good. The cranberry stood out and elevated this sandwich. The Caesar Salad(add on $ 2) was just so so. Not worth the up charge IMO. My son got the kids Mac & Cheese which came with fries & drink. It was just okay as well. The good thing was the price, $ 4.95 is a steal. The Unilocal check in offer was a FREE Flatbread Appetizer. I expected maybe 4 pcs, but it was a full order 8 pcs. It was okay, but the marinara sauce bumped this dish to Yum! Thanks Unilocal! Parking might be an issue during the lunch & dinner rush. They do offer valet as an option. Service was very friendly and informative. Price is on par with similar chain restaurant. Reasonable. Diet for a person that eats out a lot and is sick of salads might not be a bad word after all, if restaurant offer a creative alternative low calories dish that is also delicious. Just like Lazy Dog does =) 2015 Review #165
