Lunched today and tried the new Korean Spicy with a mixture of beef/chicken. Flavors were delicious and the quinoa was surprisingly good. They should have wrote the word«SPICY» in all caps. I enjoy«spicy» food but after the 3rd bite I couldn’t have #4. I asked the server if we could tone it down some. She checked with the kitchen and came back with«this is one of the few dishes we cannot adjust the spices». She was very apologetic and offered to replace it with something else so I have no complaints about their effort to please. If you enjoy what I would call over the top HOT, this item is for you because it honestly is delicious. Hope they can figure out a way to tone it down as I would absolutely order it again it was that good!

Good food ultra slow service… This place is the fast food version of PF Changs so the flavors are elevated as a result. Standard beef or chicken dishes with several available spins to the ‘taste’ you desire. I ordered a Beef dish yesterday and it took over 30 minutes for them to bring me my order? Wtf is that? The place was busy but it shouldn’t take that long when their Woks whip up the dishes in less than 30 seconds. It probably would of taken longer to get my order if I didn’t get up to inquire what was taking soooooo long. Cmon guys you need to step it up!

Not sure what happened today but I was sorely disappointed! My teriyaki with veges and tofu tasted like bad sweet and sour, something Pickup Stix would make. My carrots tasted like they were pickled, the broccoli was over-cooked and the snap peas were old and tough. The only saving grace was the Tofu. Last month it was perfect, what the hell happened?

A little step up from a fast food environment with decent pricing. Fast casual sounds like the ideal terminology. The food was delicious and the dining area was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice if there were more beverage options but overall it was a nice experience for a quick fix.

Pei wei is consistent, great food for a great value. They are very accommodating should you want an ingredient left out or added to your dish.

I hate to give one star, I’ve been a regular here for a long time. But this place had gone nowhere but downhill since the recent change in management. It’s been 45 minutes since we placed our order and still no food. If not for the fact that Pei Wei is a pay when you order establishment I’d be walking out right about now. UPDATE: After a month or so I decided to give them another chance. I think they still have a ways to go to redeem themselves but in all honesty I had a perfectly satisfying experience today. Good food, fast service. I’m bumping them up to 2 stars accordingly. I’ll be back again.

Came in for lunch with some fellow colleagues. The shopping center this place is located in is clean. Parking is a breeze. The establishment it self is very clean. We’ve never had to wait in long lines. The food here is very tasty with plenty of options. The food portions are also good. The dining area is always clean and the employees are always very professional. I would definitely return.

We’ve been coming to this particular Pei Wei since it was built a few years ago. Generally very nice and well managed location for this chain. We recently stopped by on Sunday evening May 15th at 6:30pm for a quick dinner after a busy weekend. I have to say that maintenance and general cleaning upkeep were definitely lacking. The tables were not clean or wiped down. The floor was full of food scraps, spills, and the men’s bathroom had such a sticky floor your shoes actually got stuck to the floor. That’s just for starters the high tech drink machines only had about half the flavors available. I certainly hope that the management wakes up and hires more help to turn the situation around. A year ago this review would have been 4 or 5 stars now 2 is all that I feel they deserve.

Food is pretty good, but the service is inconsistent and poor. The staff at the Brea Pei Wei location needs to work on their customer service skills if they want customers to return.

I ordered the orange peel chicken when I came here. It was a Tuesday afternoon and the place was dead. The girl up front was really nice. but the food was nothing special. I would’ve perfered Panda Express over this place. It would have been cheaper and tasted better. My boyfriend ordered the pad Thai with steak and he actually thought the strips of steak were pieces of woodchips… lol. I gave this place 2 stars because of the nice girl up front. Would NOTCOMEBACKAGAIN.

Pei Wei is a lower cost fast food Chinese dine in restaurant. The company is owned by PF Chang’s and its a faster, cheaper and more casual version of PF Chang’s. I came here for the first time and looked at the very simple and direct menu. They have stir fry dishes that are served with rice, but they also give you the option to go «light» and have it served on salad. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with rice. Its a slightly spicy and sweet stir fry with crisp green sprouts, carrots and red bell pepper slices. It was a very tasty dish, but a bit too salty for me. The dish was only around 10 bucks. They also serve appetizers and I ordered a veggie egg roll(2 pieces) and they were very good. Not too oily and crispy, full of tasty veggies and served with a tangy sweet chili sauce. I think that Pei Wei has great food, but its a little too salty and heavy on the sodium. However, the quality of meat and ingredients is top notch. It is much better than Pick up Stix or Panda Express for the price point. The dishes come in a small size or a regular size(good for 2 or 3 people) I will definitely come back and try this restaurant again, but for now I will say they are A OK.

One thing I love about Pei Wei is that you can order small entrees. I prefer this, so I can order a couple of dishes or a few if you want to share. The food is always fresh. The interior feels new and trendy. There’s also electric car charging between the restaurant and Target, but don’t use it so I can when I go. :)

Simple ordering, freshly prepared, modern, comfortable environment We prefer to dine in but ordering take out from your phone is just as easy Fast casual is the new way to dine when you don’t want fast food and you don’t want to pay $ 75 for 5 People. You’ll feel like you are dining in a nice restaurant because you are. Relax, enjoy your meal and a little casual conversation. Recommended

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and our experience was less than pleasant. We ordered the Edamame, Chicken Pad Thai and the Pei Wei Spicy Steak with White Rice. Edamame was fine, just no salt. We used soy sauce. Pei Wei Spicy with Steak: this was NOT spicy, just cloyingly sweet. Also the steak was breaded and deep fried then drowned in the sweet sauce. My husband had to use the chili paste, but once that sugar hits your tongue no amount of chili paste will help. Chicken Pad Thai: this too was sweet! I ate the chicken only, the rice noodles were just swimming in that sweet sauce and ruined my lunch. And to top it off, I found a HAIR in my food. I went up to the register and ordered a side order of veggie fried rice and even after I told the cashier my food was awful, she still made me pay. My advice: STAYAWAY Panda and Pick Up Stix is a better option.

Upscale Panda Express with less sodium. My 6 year old liked it, but my 2 year old passed. It’s okay. It definitely has a fresher taste than Panda or Pick Up Stix. You can customize your order any way you like from extra sauces to no sprouts which is a plus if you don’t like a certain ingredient or want more of another. It’s clean and quiet and better for talking over dinner.

My mother is obsessed with this place and always demands we go for lunch, but for the life of me I don’t understand what the appeal is. The food is so salty and everything is drowned in sauce AND they take forever to make everything. Honestly, if I wanted mediocre«Chinese» food I’d just go to Pick up Stix, at least they’re more efficient.

As you’ve probably already heard numerous times, Pei Wei is the sister restaurant of PF Changs. The way I see it, it’s a nicer version of Pick Up Stix. In fact many of the cooks at this location have been pulled from various Pick Up Stix’s around the area. Enough with this history lesson, let’s get on with the food. Pad Thai and Dan Dan Noodles, that’s all you need to know. If you are ever in the need of having a nice bowl of noodles with a spicy kick I suggest the Dan Dan. It is probably one of the most simplest meals you’ll ever have, but you’ll thank me later. The Dan Dan is a bed of yakisoba noodles, and on top is nice cold cucumber slices, bean sprouts and a minced chili chicken. That’s it, simple and delicious. I have a friend that for years has told me about the Pad Thai here. He wasn’t kidding, it’s delicious. It’s always super hot, not spicy and great flavor. They use a nice ratio of tofu to chicken that is mixed with a great sauce. It never disappoints! Try it, you’ll like it. I love Asian food so I might have a slight bias.

I didn’t know that Pei Wei was part of the P.F. Chang’s company. We stopped by after my hair appointment with Kristen M. at Hue Color Lab. It was during lunch hours, between noon &2pm. I didn’t really care for my sweet & spicy chicken dish, it didn’t come close what I’m used to. Tim had the orange chicken, I tried it and felt like it was okay. Overall the food was good but I’d probably go a few extra miles to P. F Chang’s at The Garden Walk or Panda Express in YL.
