Village At Breckenridge Resort

Is it dated? Yes, depending on the room. Is it full all of the time? Yes. Is the location the best in town? Absolutely. Is it nice? Sure. It’s a condo made for skiers and snowboarders, tourists and locals alike. So many people use these condos that there is no way any owner would constantly update and have the brand new of everything. There are some that have been renovated but please keep in mind that these are owned by people, not the hotel. So obviously people are going to have different levels of satisfaction depending on what you’re looking for. For instance, ours was modern enough with furniture and comfortable. However, the lighting clearly hasn’t been updated since lighting was invented and someone who has never put in a light switch put them in all upside down which is shockingly super annoying. The appliances aren’t new and pretty basic. You can’t really hold that against The Village at Breckenridge itself. That’s an owner that needs to update their condo. Another thing, our shower/​tub must have the biggest clog ever because by the time I was done with my shower the tub was full to my ankles.
But, there is no denying that the location is not comparable to any condo or hotel in the area. (I am focusing on the condo side because we didn’t use the hotel. I would highly recommend the condo for groups above three or if you stay more than a night or two.) my son was at the lift to Peak 8 in literally about two minutes, with gear on and no one moves at lightening speed wearing snow gear. The check in staff was helpful enough, not five star but got the job done and let us do a soft check in when we arrived early that morning and called when our room was ready. The housekeeping staff was as good as can be considering they are again, cleaning what essentially a private home. It isn’t as if the towels are newer and five star or using high end soaps. But they cleaned and straightened up which is more than some do for condos. The facilities have a steam room, pool and hot tub, and locker rooms which is fantastic for ski and snowboard gear. My snowboarding days are long over so I prefer heading to Main St for shopping and the food/​drink scene. Breckenridge is by far my favorite mountain town and to be about a block away from the top end of Main St. couldn’t be more convenient. So as any regular snow bunny would know, it’s not as much about the lodging as it is about what you get out of it and the convenience level. What is the point if you have to drive ten minutes and have the same dated room with ok décor? Because that is what will happen, you’ll save a small amount to spend a ton of time driving and looking for crappy to non-​existent parking and pay to park, use time to get ready and no option of walking to your place for anything during the day if you need to. That’s why you stay here, not for the towels and ice maker. You stay here to avoid wasting time.
So, yes, would I rate it lower if it were in a different location, had no amenities in the main area, no little village directly below to meet every need, and the mountain out your back door? Yes, I would rate it lower. But I can’t and won’t because I was able to get good drinks, food, steam room, ski gear, parking garage, and shopping all within feet of my condo. Good luck finding that anywhere else in town. Does the poor lightening, dated appliances and ok in room amenities leave a bit to be desired? Sure.
P. S. Yes, it’s a bit on the warmer side in the room. It’s also 5 degrees outside so I would rather be warm than cold but that’s just my personal preference. If you get hot, crack a sliding door to your balcony and you’ll be just fine. You can see the amazing view in the meantime. Make yourself a Moscow Mule, enjoy some amazing food right outside, and have fun!

The location is excellent. Walking distance to everything including the lift. Main Street is around the corner and all restaurants are in walking distance. The service was good. The beds were comfortable and clean but the condo was old and sparce. The kitchen had the minimum pots, pans, plates well you get the picture. Actually the kitchen needed to be updated. Overall a great location, clean and comfortable.

The staff here was extremely helpful and friendly. Sam at the front door made sure everything was taken care of as soon as we arrived and Charlie at concierge took care of everything else.
The location was good, about a two minute walk to the lifts and five from downtown. The room worked and was stocked with all the proper necessities. Only thing was that even with the thermostat off and the windows open the room remained pretty warm. As well as the noise from whatever rave/​disco party that was going on outside.
Great place to stay in Breckenridge for snowboarding/​skiing. Will definitely consider The Village Hotel at Breckenridge when returning.

It’s location is perfect: merely blocks walk from downtown Breck.
The WiFi is complementary and I am not sure if the televisions worked because I never insomuch as thought of turning them on. Plenty to do in Breck.

The lift is several blocks away but this entire area is extremely walkable and they even will drive you there if you are lazy and ask the front desk. (I would tip even though it is complimentary.)
There are washers/​dryers on each floor; however, they are not very modern and there is no change machine. When I inquired with the front desk about where I could get change: they sent me to the gym (I couldn’t find any [change machines]) or to some parking structure that I still am not sure what they were referring to. They definitely didn’t make the change for me themselves …

Pro Tip: Smoke while doing your laundry for maximum time management.

Location is king when it comes to the Village at Breckenridge Resort (VBR). Other than that, it is rather a bit of a disappointment in the realm of hospitality with the exception of the dude that drove us to the lift (he was super-​cool) and the valet guys (always engaging).

I don’t want to leave a bad review, but I can’t honestly leave a good review.
The exterior shows promise, but inside was disappointing. This feels more like a motel than a hotel. I’m actually writing this as I lay in the room, because I’m so sad about it.
Stayed in a studio room on the 2^nd floor of the same building as the check in desk. Room is outdated. If it weren’t for all the crazy patterns and wallpaper, I’m sure it would be even more unappealing because then you’d actually see the wear and tear more if the walls were solid. Wallpaper is peeling. Fridge looks at least 15 years old. I haven’t seen a phone like that since the 90s. Direct TV channel listing provided by the hotel are mostly inaccurate. Guide channel didn’t even show correct times to see what’s on next and the remote is cheap, lightweight, and only had standard channel and volume buttons, so you were stuck flipping through channels hoping to get a picture and not static.
There’s a locked door that I can assume leads to the next room. I can hear them cough. I can hear when people drop things. I hear things i should not be hearing. I’m leaving the TV on while I sleep because there’s too many random noises. Basically, thin walls. I’m sleeping with the lamp in front of the door because the only lock is the standard turn lock on the door knob you’d see in someones house. I have the weak chain lock on the main door. Not very secure.
General lack of attention to detail from those cleaning the rooms. The clock in the kitchen doesn’t work either.
Bathroom seemed pretty clean, but it wasn’t brightly lit, so I probably couldn’t tell. Old shower curtains, bottoms turning grimy red. Water dripping when I came in. There was a weird blue ring that resembled toilet bowl cleaner.
And the bed… I am sleeping with high socks over my sweatpants, in a hoodie sweater with my hood up, not under the blankets. I don’t want my skin touching any part of it. I have 2 white pillows and 1 off white. I’m assuming it use to be white as well. Old comforter over an old fleece type blanket with a small stain… yeah. That kind, it looks like. Sheets look old and slightly linty.
This place is cute at a glance, but yeah I wouldn’t want to come here again. I’m here for work and I was suppose to be at the lodge up the street, but there were no more rooms. So I’m here.
If you’re use to hotels, not motels or cabins, then don’t book your stay here. Yes, the location is great, but I’d rather stay in comfort over convenient location. Plus, they have to be close to food options because they don’t offer any themselves.
Oh, front desk and other employees were nice, but I had an incident the morning of check out. I came in the night before check out and asked the gentleman at the front desk if there was a shuttle that could take me from here to the Lodge. He said yes and explained that he would just need to give the shuttle notice of when I would need to leave so to call about 15 minutes ahead of time or to simply come down to the lobby and notify the front desk. The next morning I called the front desk at 8:30AM (I needed to be at the Lodge by 9AM) The girl that answered told me there was no shuttle. After she took some time to talk to other staff members to figure out what went wrong, she arranged one of the workers to drop me off even though they don’t offer that service. I came down and asked the front desk where I should wait for the shuttle to the Lodge. She misunderstood me and assumed I was waiting for a different shuttle. I waited 20 – 25 minutes until I approached them again. She didn’t realize I was the one that called in.
Overall, the staff was nice and helpful, minus the guy who gave me wrong information that caused the morning frustration.
Even though this was a business trip and I personally did not pay for the room, I wouldn’t waste my money here.

I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could. We stayed in a room that allowed dogs, which I believe is only one floor on the property. The room was a little small and I think it was because it was a dog room. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine. Parking was included. We got a special rate because of a group, but the regular rates would have been very high for what we got.

Staff was friendly and accommodated us. We stayed in a three bedroom condo. Booking is always a challenge for us since it’s always three couples. We wanted a three bedroom with at least queen/​full size beds in each room. Not only did we arrive 5 hours before check in the manager made sure we got exactly what we wanted and allowed us to check in.
The view was amazing. I wish we didn’t see the top on the «Maggie» building but the lift and mountains were in perfect view.
I only wish the unit we stayed in had three bathrooms but we made due with two. They did inform us that there was only one three bed, three bath room in the complex with the right bedding. Good job to the reservation center for setting the right expectations.
During our stay the owners of the unit did purchase two new mattresses and requested they be delivered. The office made sure they found the right time to deliver them as to not disturb our stay. No complains here… they were def and upgrade.
The kitchen supplies were better than expected and we cooked almost every meal.
Overall we were super happy with the room and resort but will stay in Keystone next year due to the closed lifts. Us ladies like to board but also like the closed lifts. Too bad this resort isn’t in Keystone.
