I have eaten there twice for the lunch buffet. The food is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and decorated beautifully. The owners are always very nice and gracious. The service is very fast and they are always attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian food!

Great low key place with great eats. If you’re looking for something past sandwiches, pizza and fast food Chinese, look no further. We usually order for delivery(always prompt) but I picked up tonight, and was surprised to see that they’ve upped their game on the beer tip. They are starting Happy Hour soon, and I know that we’ll be meeting friends for dinner soon!

We have had the buffet several times when visiting family here. The food has been delicious and consistent every time, with nothing stale. Salad veggies are fresh. The staff is friendly and attentive.

I had been looking for an Indian restaurant that could come close to my old faves. Bombay has done just that! The food is flavorful, and was great! I had Mattar Paneer and it was delicious. We had appetizers and lunch. We ordered off the menu because my dish wasn’t on the buffet. He had a dish with spinach and he said his was really tasty. The servers were nice, helpful without lurking and it was a nice experience. We can’t wait to return!

Our family has decided that this is our favorite Indian Restaurant… A. The menu offers a wonderful selection of chicken & vegetarian dishes.(They also serve lamb) B. We have some picky eaters and everyone found the food is quite delicious. We love the fact they have naan & potato breads. C. The prices are comparable with other restaurants in this area. C. This became one our favorite weekend treats because THEYDELIVER!!!

Brent and I visited for the first time and liked the dishes we ordered. They have quite a selection of vegetarian dishes which is not always the case — we both agreed we will go again to sample more. I had the Dal(creamy lentils) which had several types of lentils and other beans. Brent had the Chicken Biryani and also a vegetable Samosa. They have a buffet but we are not fans of buffets as we always overeat! We appreciated the size of the portions– not huge!

This is the worst indian food I have had in long time. We had veg lunch buffet today and here is our review: — for 10 $+ lunch you have just option of two vegetable dishes, and naan not even chapatis — no drinks with buffet — naan was half cooked — vegetables were not well cooked — rice was hard and stale — the service was pathetic .naan basket came late and we had asked for normal water and that came after repeatedly asking for it. We were family of four and these were my worst ~50 $ spent on food. Not sure how is this place is highly rated :-/

None of the other reviews are exaggerated. Service: the server — a lone female nodded and kept doing what she was doing. She finally told us to sit anywhere. Food: Very limited buffet options with mostly bland and overcooked food. Chicken tikka masala had a lot of sauce and very little chicken was the blandest I have ever tried. The naan came out after we were done with our first plates. The rice was dry and tasted old. They don’t have an offer of biryani on their buffet. Ambiance: Some light above the food would’ve been nice. It’s located against a wall along a dark part of the restaurant. I am not impressed. Was looking forward to it. Actually disappointed.

Date night with beloved husband. Nice decorative setting and ambiance with clean, quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Food was spectacular, no frills of excess salt and seasonings to cover up other«stuff» and potential to clog arteries. Portions were descent(not to compare to Big Bear type restaurants cheapish ingredients and oversized portions). The total of our meal was under $ 30. Our server, Jackie, was fantastically attentive and helpful, adding to the enjoyment of our experience. When arrived there was just 1 couple dining and by the time we were done 5 other groups had arrived(and still quiet atmosphere). Food arrived quickly and HOT with just enough flavor and size for a yummy in the tummy. I highly recommend this nice little restaurant if you’re looking to try authentic Indian cuisine with a pleasant atmosphere.

The veggie pakora was overcooked. The butter chicken has lots of sauce and no meat. This will be the last time we order. I think I will make it myself.

I started servicing this location with linens, towels and aprons in jan 2016. One thing about our industry is we know where and where not to try and eat based on cleanliness. This location is spotless all the time. Owner and staff are some of the friendliest I ever come into contact with. Prior to about a month ago, I never tried or even thought of trying this type of food. Now, im always looking forward to my delivery! The chicken masala is great, and the Tandoori!!! My fav chicken to have anywhere!

I don’t normally like Indian food, in fact I came into this shopping plaza planning to get pizza but then on the spur of the moment decided to try out this place. We got takeout and it was delicious! Will definitely come back to try out the buffet lunch and other menu options.

Where do I even begin. This place seemed like it could have been THE go to Indian spot. First time going tonight and I can tell you I will never be back. I waited approximately 20 minutes for this cracked out waitress to take, even try an take my order. The waitress was completely unprofessional. She couldn’t focus on taking anyone’s order. We asked if we could sub some items. When I could tell her what I wanted to sub she said«figure it out and I will come back.» Mean while she was all over the place just completely overwhelmed. At one point we even heard her asking others«what you drinkin on.» As I said I really hoped this could be my go to spot. Sadly until the owners get an actual waitress I won’t be returning. I truly wish I could tell you if the food was good. The 2 plates I saw looked very yummy. If the waitress just happens to read this I hope you find a job that is far less stressful. Allow me impart some wisdom to you. My grandpa once told me «the world always needs ditch digger and trash collectors

I brought family to this place Sunday lunch hoping to impress. See the pros and cons listed: Cons — We waited a few minutes at the door to be seated. The one and only server made eye contact then continued what he was doing, not even a greeting. Bad omen. — The buffet items were minimal — food was unimpressive,(we’ve had better) — naan bread came 30 mins later — over priced lunch buffet! — server didn’t clear our used plates but he kept refilling our water() pros — chai tea was awesome! — tandoori chicken were moist and flavorful — plenty of parking(back of Safeway) –easy to find(next to mr. Pickles) –server came to refill our water many times

Nice to see a new Indian place in Brentwood and read the website stating the chef had worked in San Francisco for many years. Our expectations were higher and here’s the things which could be improved from the things we ordered: * Very small portions for the price * Palau rice dish was bland and didn’t appear to be fluffy long grained basmati * Nan was thick, a bit rubbery * Tandoori chicken was dry * Not much Chana in the Chana Palak * Short staffed, hard to get a hold of our server We may try again if improvements are made.

I wish I could give it no stars. The first waitress left my group and I halfway though our visit, and the second waitress, upon finding out I found a hair in my meal, tried to claim it was my hair. Very upsetting. Never visiting again.

The chicken tikka masala here is delicious! Really enjoy the staff, the assistant manager Jackie is so nice and always very accommodating to help out the family and kids in anyway possible. They have highchairs and are very family friendly and kind, and the food is delicious! Have also ordered delivery and/or takeout from them which is also convenient.

I’ve been here before for the naan bread and it was good. Decided to try it with the family. Great service and great food. Tried the assorted naan bread and a side of the naan bread with lamb. Yum! Also had the coconut curry with lamb. Highly recommend it. Actually I would recommend everything.

My original review was for the first Bombay Clay Pit that was there and new owners have taken over. We went here and were surprised that ownership has already changed. I could tell it was a Nepalese style of cooking and encourage the owners to maybe focus on this cuisine as they probably know it the best and we don’t have any in this area. As for the Indian cuisine, what we ordered was really not good. We ordered two different type of dahls and it was watery at best-I think they must have watered it down to reheat it and must be cooked earlier as it would take too long to cook right there. So it was more like soupy rather than the normal dahl dish consistency. Naan was fine. I was kind of disappointed bc I wanted a good Indian restaurant around here.

We loved the buffet lunch, which included some of my favorite entrees: chicken tikka masala, goat curry, Tandoori chicken, and a creamy spinach dish along with other vegetarian options, The food was delicious. We were very happy. They brought fresh naan to the table, and refilled our water glasses frequently without our having to ask. The service was great. Very nice, friendly people are running the restaurant. It shows that they care and want to please their customers. I’m so glad to have this high quality restaurant in Brentwood. For me, this was the best restaurant meal I’ve had in in a long time… and was a real treat. It’s recipes remind me of the delicious meals I used to get at the Bombay Garden on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. We’ll definitely be back regularly for my Indian food fix.

This restaurant has changed ownership 5 months ago. Originally it was an Indian restaurant and the food was pretty good however it is now a Nepalese restaurant and the food is outstanding! My wife and I went there this evening for her birthday and were really surprised at how good the meals were. This place is excellent, the food was not too heavy, spiced perfectly and delicious. The waitress was very attentive and overall the experience was great. I’ll return this week for their buffet so I can sample some of the different dishes, but all in all delicious food, wonderful service and very moderately priced. I hope more people will discover this gem(as another reviewer called it).

We are new to the area and searching for good Indian food. We ordered butter chicken. One mild and one medium. Both were a bit spicer than preferred but good flavor overall. We are still looking for more options for Indian food in Brentwood.

Not sure if this place is open or not BUT I did try to go here the other day & it was closed & said it would be opening under new management. I would call to double check before you make the drive out here. However, the first time I tried this place was a few months back maybe more, I would say it was just okay, I did like it better than India 4 U because I think there was a lot more flavor… BUT both places ignored the fact I requested it EXTRASPICY but they must have assumed I couldn’t handle Indian spicy LOL.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s next to Mr. Pickles, in the Safeway shopping center. It’s almost within walking distance from our home, AND they deliver! We have always had the kindest, and most caring service. And on top of that EXELLENT food. I’m new to Indian food, so each time we go we try things we know we like, and also try something new. We have been starting with Vegetable Samosa & Vegetarian Pakora combo. And have nan bread. I LOVE the lamb curry, medium spicy, with saffron rice. I think with each dish you have a choice of mild, medium, or spicy. I like medium, but be careful if you’re not a spicy food lover.

I like this place very much! The food is always delicious and high quality! The service is better and friendlier now under the new management. I like the variety of menu options, including the Mulligatawny soup. India4U is a good place, but Bombay Clay Pit is a great competitor! I’m happy to spend my money here! I have not been disappointed! Come in and try for yourself! Nothing but yummy goodness!

We are new to the area and tried this restaurant To our dismay, the food was very oily and there was not a lot of meat in our lamb curry… just oil. The naan was very hard. Overall the food did not warrant the price we paid for it.

So I had been craving Indian food & saw how many great reviews this place had, and THEYDELIVER! I ordered my food with the Eat24 app, and it came very quickly & it was hot & fresh! I ordered garlic Nan & onion Nan, both of which were not fully cooked & had a thick gummy/rubbery texture. The onion Nan barely had any onions in it. My spinach with cheese was very good, but my eggplant with potatoes was very oily & bland. The food was good, but not at all as authentic as I’m used to. I would order again if I had the craving, only because they deliver. The delivery driver girl was extremely nice & friendly!

Went here for the first time for dinner because I read so many great reviews. However, there was a «new management» sign on the window and new name? And new Unilocal page? Our waittress was just barely hired and not one person was in the restaurant for dinner! We reluctantly ordered dinner… several beers we asked for were«out». The service was awkward even though we were the only ones there… the food was very good though. We probably won’t be back and stick with India4U
