I love seafood so naturally when this place opened, I was very excited. During my first visit, I made reservations as it was for dinner and the place always looked crowded every time I pass by the restaurant on my way home from work. It’s not exactly the dressiest place but just for your awareness, some people do dress up. I don’t think it’s required, however. My first visit outfit consisted of a pair of jeans and hockey jersey since I was on my way to a hockey game and I wasn’t given a subpar service from the way I was dressed. My second visit, I wore a dress because I was out doing other fun things and my 3rd and most recent one, I wore shorts and a polo and I wasn’t treated any differently on any aforementioned occasions. Now to the food. I ordered the sea scallops and shrimp during my first visir and it was prepared to perfection. I loved every single bite. The second time was at lunch and I ordered their pad thai. I know, I know… It’s not exactly the place for pad thai but I wanted something light and with noodles and my mom really wanted to come here while she was visiting. During my most recent visit, I had the bang bang shrimp to start and I decided to try one of their martinis. The bartender/server recommended their seasonal fresh watermelon martini which I ended up enjoying a few minutes after she made the recommendation. It was both refreshing and delicious. I have to be honest, I am not a huge fan of bread and fried shrimp but I wanted to try some of the bang bang shrimp anyway to see if it has the power to change my mind about breaded, fried shrimp. Sadly, it did not. The sauce was tasty and had a bit of a spicy flavor to it but the shrimp was nothing special. For my lunch, I ordered some of the crab cakes with coleslaw. The crab cakes were flavorful and delicious but the coleslaw was my kind of coleslaw. It wasn’t exactly the vinegar type I have come to prefer over the creamy kind but it did have a uniquely tangy flavor that I love! I kind of wish they gave me more than a small serving of it. Service is always excellent. The staff are super friendly and are very attentive. Like I said before, they really treat you well here. Can’t wait to come back!

Our waiter Little Nick, was terrific really added to our experience. Nick the manager stopped by and chatted also. We have been here before, but this was just a wonderful experience tonight. Place is outstanding. I got the imperial tilapia. The whole dish was incredible. Jay, our waiter was so fast and friendly. He was non stop refilling our waters, and bread. Jay really was the icing on the cake. I will be back and recommend bonefish to all.

Absolutely wonderful food and service. We were able to be seated in the bar area immediately at 6:15 on a Saturday night. The Bang Bang Shrimp was to die for and the Tilapia with the Garlic/Lime/Tomato sauce was wonderful. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and French green beans as my sides. Definitely a new favorite place.

I am not a fish fan, so you can take this with a grain of salt. My mother, on the other hand loves this place. So when she visited, we stopped for lunch one day. Our server was incredibly friendly and efficient and took goo care of our party of five. Since I’m not a fish fan, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was pretty good! Two others ordered the fish tacos, and were only so-so about them. But another ordered the Po Boy and really enjoyed it. We also got the Crème brûlée and coconut pie for dessert. The brûlée was exactly what you’d expect. But the pie wasn’t at all — I imagined a creamy pie, mostly custard and whipped cream. But this looked more like a ton of shaved coconut mixed into a custard or blondie base. Very interesting!

As far as chains go, bonefish is great! The seafood is delicious and fresh. The salads are great. I had the salmon with goat cheese and artichokes. It was fantastic. Our server, Anthony, was very attentive.

The place is classy but not to the extreme. I would wear something on the dressier side. The server clearly had a different attitude once she realized we weren’t drinking alcohol and eating lightly, but she wasn’t too much of a snob. The bang bang shrimp tacos were amazing!!! The fish tacos were good too but disappointing in comparison to the shrimp. The calamari was good as well but not life changing. We were seated right away

Nope. The tasty Hawaiian martini can’t make up for the undercooked lamb chops, cold coffee and endless apologies. The chicken was fine. The service was strange. It’s like they didn’t expect us. Had to request table setting, Water, plzzzzz bring water… might as well since it takes 20 minutes to pour wine into a clean glass. Never again and not for the price. Bonefish fail on Friday night date night. At least we got a good laugh over how badly that experience missed the mark.

I grew up near a Pappadeaux. It’s a chain seafood place. I probably lost half of the Unilocal community just by saying the word chain, but do you know what else Pappadeaux is? It’s off da chain! If you’re ever near one, you should check it out. I live in St. Louis now, and we don’t have a Pappadeaux anywhere near us. I was seriously craving it recently, and I decided to give Bonefish Grill a go. It’s a little fancier than Pappadeaux. My husband and I had lunch here on a weekend, and when we got out of the car, we saw two guys going in wearing nice shirts and ties. It was SATURDAY. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I was starting to feel underdressed, but then two women decked out in Victoria’s Secret Pink attire went inside. That made me feel better, but if you’re going at night or something, maybe you should dress up a little? Or, maybe you don’t care what people think. You just do you. You’re great. Our waiter emphasized the freshness of their food and indicated they get seafood deliveries six days out of each week. He recommended their signature Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer and the Tilapia Imperial – tilapia stuffed with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat in lemon caper butter – as an entrée. After specifically selecting a seafood place for lunch and hearing this fantastic sales pitch, I ordered a chicken entrée. Makes sense, right? But I had to. I chose Lily’s Chicken, which is a grilled chicken breast topped with spinach, goat cheese, artichokes, and a lemon basil sauce. They had me at goat cheese. It was magnificent. The chicken was perfectly grilled, and every bite was full of flavor. I could not have asked for better service, either. At one point our waiter and another staff member both brought me a Diet Coke refill within seconds of each other. Our waiter had been the one who was a few seconds behind, and I told him he could just leave the second drink with me as I would probably drink it anyway. He said, «I’ll just keep an eye on the table so I can bring you a fresh drink when you are ready. If I leave this one with you, it will be too watery by the time you get to it.» So, I had a good experience. Bonefish Grill is no Pappadeaux, but I wasn’t really expecting it to be. It’s more upscale and is a nice place in its own right. Oh, and you can expect to spend some dough here.

Five stars for the bang bang shrimp tacos! This is truly one of the very best entrees out there in St. Louis — and not just for dinner. At lunch, they’ll also let you make a combo of two bang bang shrimp tacos and a cup of chowder or side salad. The bang bang shrimp appetizer is good, but it’s deceivingly small because they stuff a giant bowl full of lettuce and then just sprinkle the bang bang shrimp on top. I find the appetizer to be quite unsatisfying if I’m with more than one other person and usually insist on ordering at least 3 for the table in larger groups. Little known fact — Bonefish grill also has a pretty spectacular Sunday brunch/cocktail menu, and the weekly happy hour specials are pretty great too! I can’t vouch for many menu items outside of the bang bang shrimp, but I can promise that if you order that, you won’t be disappointed!

Well I can say the French toast and California omelettes was delicious but portion size wasn’t enough but I do recommend them. The food and service was awesome.

1st visit was for my moms birthday. My grandparents were overcharged and the GM made up for it by sending them a $ 25 gift card and coupon for bang bang shrimp. Which are amazing! 2nd visit, waitress was nice, food was excellent. However the white sangria was made totally wrong. Forgot to remake it had to go the bar myself to bring the drink back and have it remade. Waitress… No where to be found. 3rd visit? We’ll have to see.

Eh. Not the best of the chains. Not a fan of chains anyway-but normally I like bonefish. They have nice drinks with fresh squeezed juices. The bang bang shrimp are always a delight. The staff is sorta friendly here. The service is slow. The food quality isn’t what it is in other locations. I gave this location three separate try’s before writing the review. All three times, they failed to meet even my lowest expectations.

Lunch here with clients. They made the choice. Service was alright, not as speedy as I’d like. I ran out of iced tea twice. No Bueno. Crab corn chowder was ok… even with crab shell in a few slurps(ugh). The«Bangin Shrimp Tacos» was pretty good(and what gives this review 3 stars). Service was maybe 2 stars. Overall, a business lunch for 5 under $ 100(including tip) was not bad at all but it didn’t blow my socks off. Would I go back? Only if my client wants.

Have been here 3 times over the past 2 months and I’ve really enjoyed it each time. The first time I came for lunch with my mother and we ordered the bang bang shrimp, the crab & corn chowder, and a salad. The food was great and so was the service. We had a guy named«Nick» who was training another guy named«Nick.» Next time I came back with a few friends for brunch, I ordered the California omelette, potatoes au gratin, and bottomless peach Bellinis. My only complaint is that the waitress had a hard time keeping the drinks coming… I didn’t stress over it though. Food was awesome. Today I went for brunch with friends again. Ordered the Kobe egg burger, fries, and bottomless peach Bellinis. My friends ordered a mix of bang bang shrimp tacos, the oscar omelette, potatoes au gratin, and the berry sangria. Our waitress was great, her name escapes me, but she kept the drinks flowing. Only complaint was that I believe she thought she had served us too many rounds so she attempted to sneak and send the manager over to the table. The manager didn’t address the drink issue, she just came to the table, collected our plates, and started some small talk, but having worked as a server/bartender before I know that tactic all too well! Lol I’m pretty sure she just wanted to make sure we didn’t appear drunk(which we weren’t by any means)… I wanted to say«Lady, I graduated from Mizzou, it’s going to take way more than 4 Bellinis to get me off my rocker» lol). I appreciated the concern though. I guess we passed the test because she ended up bringing out 1 more round. I will definitely be back. I want to try the crème brûlée French toast(as recommended by the 2nd manager that stopped by the table…)

My bosses 14 year old son knows that I Unilocal and the last time he was visiting the office, he informed me I had to try Bonefish Grill. This young foodie told me, Bonefish Grill is his favorite restaurant. With a recommendation from my bosses son, I had to give it a try. I arrived at peak lunch time and the dining room was full. The hostess informed me I could sit at one of the communal tables in the bar and order from the same menu. I selected one that was empty, so I didn’t have to share my space. My server arrived quickly and cheerfully welcomed me. I already had skimmed the drink menu and knew I wanted a Fat Tire. Their selection of beers is small, but they had an impressive martini menu. I’m going to have to return for Happy Hour to enjoy a martini. Wanting a quick lunch, I opted for the Fish-n-Chips and they did not disappoint. The fish was done Tempura style and the fries were crispy. I am not a fan of tartar sauce and I surprised myself by trying and actually liking theirs. I also liked that they serve ketchup in little cups, its’ one of my little quirks. I never got to snap a photo of their offerings of sweetness, but they have them all and deserve a spot on my Rainbow of Sweetness list. I thought it would be awkward to ask the people next to me enjoying ice tea to snap a photo of the sugar. With us in the peak of Lent season, Bonefish Grill is going to be a great place to grab your fish on Friday.

Lobster grilled cheese. Those three words brought me into this fine establishment. And they did not disappoint! Toni H. on Unilocal, really Toni S. in real life(she needs to change her last name from getting married) and I decided on a whim at like 8:30 on a Sunday night that lobster grilled cheese sounded exceptional. And let me tell you, it was exactly that. It is buttery and cheesy and lobster-y… And then you are served a cup of lobster bisque along side. The bisque was incredible. I could have easily had another cup. You also get to choose between a side of mixed greens or house made chips. We both got the mixed greens and the balsamic on it was perfect. Toni was obsessed with it. We also split an order of butterflied shrimp topped with lobster served in a piping hot skillet with butter and capers… Oh my goodness that was great too. All in all I probably consumed my entire day’s worth of calories in this meal but really it was fantastic. Oh and it doesn’t end there… We also got Crème Brûlée as a dessert to split. Very good as well. We don’t feel as guilty because we didn’t get any drinks or wine… Haha oh gosh the lies you tell yourself to get dessert. The service was pretty good too. I was pretty satisfied with everything at my visit to Bonefish Grill. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been wanting to try this chain restaurant for a while after seeing it in other parts of the Midwest. I would say that the food was great for the most part. The Bang Bang Shrimp tacos was on point, the mussels were tasty, and the ceviche was ice cold, but a little more sour than I’m used to. Prices are normal, not too expensive. The crowd was older. Late 30s and up come to this place. I saw most of them gathering around the bar. The place was newly and nicely built. My main problem with this particular location was the service. We had a server named Michael I believe and he was just horrible. He came to give us our menus and take our appetizers, but that was about it. Unless he was bringing us our food, he wouldn’t come back — not even when it was time to get the check. He did not come to check up on us at all. We had to flag him down and then flag down one of his coworkers to get him for us. We would see him hanging out by the kitchen door talking to other workers. I understand that it was close to closing time and we were his last table, but he could have been a lot more attentive throughout the night. I think the management really needs to keep an eye on their servers. If you see that your server is hanging out in the back doorway or by the kitchen door just talking, you really need to make sure they are doing their job. The service is the only thing that is preventing this place as the go-to place for me.
