Food is good but this is the third time we’ve gotten takeout and they have left out an order. No condiments. No sour cream. Should have checked our order after the third time but the guy sat there and checked the order because three people in front of us did not get everything that they ordered. Get it together guys!

I love this place! The pulled pork sandwich is the best in Cool Springs. It’s a very casual and family friendly environment. The ice tea is delicious. They have free ice cream for everyone. My favorite sides are the Mac and cheese and the potato casserole. Yum!!!

I stopped by Friday for lunch. I had the daily special which was pulled pork with 2 sides. I got coleslaw and baked beans. Nice smokey taste and sauces were pretty good as well. I thought it was a great value on bbq and the quality wasn’t sacrificed! Seriously not sure where you can get real BBQ and a drink for less that $ 10. I would definitely come again if I’m in the area.

This isn’t my first time here. Today, as usual the staff and manager(owner?) were super friendly, helpful and upbeat. The staff made recommendations of beef brisket(crazy juicy and tender), baked potato casserole and macaroni & cheese(they were out of mac-n-cheese so I opted for green beans with bacon… meh). Regardless of the mediocre green beans, the meal as a whole and overall experience was wonderful.

First visit to any Dickey’s location and it was delicious overall. Had the pulled pork sandwich(mine had bones in it so be careful) with waffle fries and okra. Everything was good. My brother and I ate for $ 20.65 and we got water to drink so yes it’s a little pricey but hey it’s BBQ.

My friend and I walked in thinking we were going to get some Greek food. Nope Dickey’s BBQ had moved in. The owner was proud to share with us newbies that they were based out of Dallas, TX and had been in the Cool Springs/Brentwood area for 9 months and yet to have people walk out disappointed. So it made me look really hard to try to find some errors. Though a chain in some parts of the States, Dickey’s is a franchise and owned by locals! Order of brisket plate, a brisket burger and 3 sides between my buddy and I. Green beans, mashed potatoes and fried okra. The brisket had a great tender taste, not dry like some TX bbq. It had spices that gave a kick in your mouth but not too spicy. I actually love green beans and they put meat in it and seasoned. Some places just boil beans and no seasoning. Well Dickey’s knows how to do it. From sides to a nice full menu. You can’t go wrong. Yes they cater and next time I’m in gonna try the ribs! Clean place and friendly staff. Their sweet tea is brewed fresh and mixed perfect. OH and as was about to leave, FREEICECREAMCONES complimentary!!! BOOM. Too bad I don’t eat sweets anymore. But that’s a plus for any age!

Amazing brisket and smoked turkey. Ask for the soft buttery buns instead of rolls. I like the warm bbq sauce — nice touch. The baked beans are amazing with leftover brisket bits. Waffle fries and onion straws and waffle fries are made the second you order them. Free soft-serve ice cream. The people are wonderful.

This place actually helped me a bit with the sadness I feel not having a Sam’s BBQ1 in Nashville. The baby back ribs are excellent here and do are their sausages. BBQ sauce is a winner as well. They are nice to their customers and do service with a smile. It’s a little expensive, but location(Brentwood) and amazing flavor explain that. I’ll be back!

This is a great little BBQ place that gives you a lot for your money. Try the daily specials and you won’t leave disappointed. Plus you get a free ice cone too! Updated: went back and got the daily special on a Tuesday of 3 ribs and 2 sides. Not a fan of the ribs there. Plus the bbq sauce is watery thin.

Doesn’t live up to Texas locations of Dickey’s. They’ve not trained their employers on lean vs moist brisket. When I asked for moist brisket, I got lean. In Texas, they know expect the customer to know which to ask for. They also slice it a little too thin, and are a little stingy for the money. The flavor and quality of meat is reasonable, for a chain, and comparable to other Nashville area chains. But the onion rings and okra are good. Free kids on Sundays doesn’t hurt anyone.

The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. I love the ribs and the brisket is so good! The ribs are nice and tender. It’s not fall off the bone, but still good. I had the brisket a while back and loved them at first bite. I They were really moist and super tender! I usually have lunch every Friday. I highly recommend it.

Dickey’s is the sleeper of the Cool Springs area!!! Among hundreds of restaurants, this place is worth a try. Okay, fine, yes I already left a review on the pulled pork and brisket. And now that Nashville has replaced Texas as the new barbecue capital of the world, the competition here is fierce. But the underdog Dickey’s is pulling off the upset!!! Sure, it’s not Martin’s. Frankly nobody is. But for a quick, convenient stop in an unassuming strip mall space, the food here is fantastic!!! I had to review again because I just had the ribs for the first time. The guy behind the counter said they were mouth-watering, fall-off-the-bone good. He was right!!! What a surprise from the little restaurant that could!!! I’m addicted!

My family and I went to Dickey’s for the first time last week. I ordered the ribs and my wife had the pull pork bbq sandwich. The ribs were so salty it was almost inedible. They use some type of rub that tasted like pure salt. The ribs were cooked okay but the bbq rub just ruined the taste of the ribs. My wife pull pork sandwich was on a large bun that overwhelmed the pull pork. In other words it was too much bread for a pull pork sandwich. Also the bread was crumbly and just not good for that type of sandwich. The sides we had were mac-n-cheese and bake beans. The mac-n-cheese tasted like a box/kraft product not good at all. I did not care how it was set up to order your food with menu signs hanging above your head. It felt kind of awkward and not comfortable for someone visiting for the first time. Overall I was not impress with Dickey’s and more than likely will not come back.

Great tasting barbecue. We ate the pulled pork plate, baked beans, baked potato casserole and potato salad. We enjoyed everything. The potato casserole is basically mashed potatoes with cheese and green onions on top. The portions were a decent size. There are 3 types of barbecue sauce that is warm and self service. One meat and 2 sides cost $ 10.50. Meals come with a roll that wasn’t very good. Free soft serve ice cream for dessert. Great ice machine and sodas are self service. Keep your plastic cup to take home. Several other meat options I want to try next time. I’ll be back.

They’ve only been open for four days. Everybody is friendly and the employees yell«Welcome To Dickey’s» when you open the door. When you approach this overhanging sign«Order Here» be prepared for no menus and to yell over and almost six-foot wall made of wood and glass. However if you move around the counter to the left, keep looking upward and you’ll find hanging menu(above your head). You’ll probably have to step back towards the drink machine to see the menu. Once you know what you want to order, yellow hopefully your voice will carry over the wood and glass wall. I took advantage of the three meat plate. My choices include ribs, brisket, and Polish sausage. The ribs had a beautiful smoke ring, great pork flavor, and smoked just to that perfect tenderness. The two ribs were yummy. No sauce was needed. The generous serving of brisket was overcooked and lacked flavor. Although dry and the slices barely maintained their cut the brisket was alright when sauced up. The sausage was pretty darn good being salty and savory. I thought the sweet bbq sauce was good on the sausage. The plate came with a choice besides, I chose coleslaw and fried okra. I found the coleslaw to be sweet and mushy. The fried okra was dang good. Prepared fresh to order it was crispy and delicious. I didn’t try the roll, pickles, or onion slices, but they looked nice on the tray. If you are a barbecue purist, Dickey’s may not be your first pick. Their fuel includes natural gas with it’s familiar taste, but the hickory comes through. They also happen to be an franchised outfit and a purist prefers a shack and wants the pitmaster onsite to have his name on the marquee. However, the next time I just have to have some ribs, I’m gonna think about stopping by here. I’m fact, I will be eating more of the ribs.
