I would give a 4 star for food and a 5 star for customer service. The staff is really great the manager is always walking around talking to guests and being friendly. The food is really good but let’s be honest, it’s chain food! My favorite for sure is the pork and brisket. The Mac and cheese kids meals is really great too. It’s a place we can go with our 4 children and enjoy a great dinner and not worry about noise mess and people or staff staring. We love it here.

I was tired when I arrive in Franklin and did not want to venture too far to find something to eat. I came across Jim N Nick’s and thought I would give them a try. Great Service, Good Food and reasonable prices. I had the nachos which were huge(4 people could have shared them). They have quite a drink selection also.

They brought out a basket of their soft cheese biscuits and that’s worth five stars in itself!!! Fast and friendly service. I ordered the two meat combo, their perfectly smoked baby back ribs and tender brisket. I also want to mention their delicious potato salad. I’m sure it’s made with a horseradish mayo. Something I will try to replicate at home. Don’t forget the sweet tea, a Southern staple — oh soooo refreshing!

Was craving BBQ so went through the drive thru. Ordered pulled chicken sandwich(heads up, their chicken isn’t shredded it’s just chunks-yuck) and I get home to a pink(not cooked thoroughly) chicken sandwich. I called in and the response was«huh. Never heard that and we’ve sold it all day». Well, fine I’ll throw it away and go elsewhere. Save your $ 14 and go elsewhere, probably get better customer service elsewhere too.

My first BBQ restaurant in Nashville, and I had the brisket with mac and cheese(and something else, I totally forgot)! How was the BBQ brisket, you asked? It was not my favorite :(It was terribly dry. I had to douse it in the BBQ sauce that was offered on the table. Mac and cheese wasn’t as good either. This dish was 2 stars, but I gave another star because of the CHEESEBISCUITS. Wow, those are some sweet, savory, and fluffy goodness. Because they kept on bringing them in, I kept eating them more. The biscuits were the highlight of the meal. Service was nice and they also had an impressive bourbon and whiskey menu. Would I come here again? Not sure, I was really disappointed considering it was my first Nashville BBQ experience, but damn those cheese biscuits were amazing.

I’ve had a couple of bad experiences here, mostly due to the service I received. I’m not sure they put enough emphasis on good service here! I love the food tho, so I contacted management and they gave me a gift card to give them another try. My latest time around I got the food to-go so I didn’t have to deal with the service lol. I have to say, this is the way to go! The food was great and the timing was effecient, the girl running the to-go stuff wasn’t the friendliest but I’m tired of complaining about their staff, I just expect it now. If you go just keep a close eye on these things and if you’re smart order the CHILI! It’s incredible.

Salty pulled pork! It was Labor Day and I was in the mood for BBQ so we decided to give this place a try. It looked a little busy but we only waited five minutes for a table which was great because I was hungry. I ordered the pulled pork plate with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were drier than I care for but you don’t necessarily go to a BBQ restaurant for the sides. Halfway through the pulled pork I had gone through two glasses of water. I have never had pork that salty. I couldn’t finish it so I took it home to put on bread and add some sauce to tone down the saltiness so I could eat it. The service was good. I needed lots of water and he did a good job at keeping my glass full.

Jim N Nick’s is what you’d get if Disney opened a BBQ joint. Cliché’ music playing in the background, employees dressed like they are working at Splash Mountain and pictures on the wall of traditional southern BBQ joints. Seriously? You put a picture of Archibald’s from Tuscaloosa on the wall? The food is good, even really good but it comes up short in my book of an authentic southern bbq joint. It’s just too darn safe, too darn corporate. The server was a fish out of water and had no idea what a chopped mixed sandwich was. They had to bring over a manager who knew what we wanted and assured us «there’s a button on the computer to order that». Jim N Nick’s is a popular chain that’s a great place to take yankee friends but there really are better places out there.

I love this Jim and Nick’s more than the other Jim and Nick’s in Bellevue. Their food is very good just like the other one, plus the portion is way bigger XD. I guess the rating is not so high because this place is crowded and a tad noisy. I’d recommend pulled pork, baby back ribs, hamburgers, cheese muffin etc… wait, I don’t know what I’m doing, everything is delicious. I recommend everything :)).

A friend recommended this place while visiting the area for work so decided to go. As for the food it was ok. I wouldn’t say it was the best BBQ I’ve ever had but certainly not bad. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was good but the fries were burnt and the baked beans were just ok. Must say though the banana pudding was amazing! This probably would have been a 3 star recommendation except for the fact our waiter was amazing! Very friendly and right on point! All in all I enjoyed the meal here and would probably return if in the area again.

The most interesting dining experience in a long time, $ 85, platter of very good meat showed up at the table, with cold fries and cold mashed potatoes. This was before our appetizer and initial drink order arrived. Family style bowls of sides had no serving spoons, we had to ask for plates to eat on and ¾ the way through the meal the 3 deviled egg app came to the table. Ketchup that was requested never arrived… Good food, terrible service.

Our friends took us here during our first trip to Nashville! We aren’t big BBQ/red meat eaters, so we were pleasantly surprised that the food wasn’t all greasy. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. I got the double decker(pulled pork w/beef brisket). I wasn’t crazy about the brisket– it wasn’t as soft as the pulled pork. The 2 sides it came with, I got baked beans and mac & cheese. Both were good. Overall, pretty good place. Service was friendly.

shoot just had homemade BBQ pulled chicken last night at a friends that was by far the best i have ever had… we ordered the brisket sandwich, two sides mac&cheese and fries… severely disappointed :( to me the brisket was super fatty… i am sure the fat helps the flavor but for me, that completely makes me lose my appetite. mac&cheese was probably my least favorite compared to other establishments… noodles werent soft, almost al dente but also of gritty texture, starchy for sure. fries, we probably just got the batch of the little pieces that are from the bottom of the bag, tasted ok but 90% of them(which by the way was maybe the size of a handful) were too tiny to dip in catchup… service was great & sweet tea was fabulous!

Jim & Nick’s Barbecue; let’s check the Ups and Downs. Carolina Pulled Pork: very tender with just a light smoke and a sprinkling of vinegar-pepper sauce(I like mine a bit stronger, but this was very good). UP Beef Brisket: smokin’ good. UP Baby Back Ribs: Smoky, tender lightly spiced and really meaty… like 500+ calories per 3 ribs if anyone’s counting. Loved these. UP Savory-Acidic Potato Salad with a mustard dressing … just a bit mushy. Half UP Baked Beans: Great… with spices and a nice smack of onion plus pieces of meat mixed in. UP Cheddar Biscuits: Really good — both sweet and riddled with cheese bits. Just the right degree of moisture. UP Cole Slaw: creamy sweet flavor but a little coarse for my tastes, some pieces were pretty big – I prefer shredded. Half UP Slow-Cooked Collards: a bit underdone, papery-chewy. DOWN Decent marks all around, and a good place to dine in if you’re in the area … nice outside patio. But…not quite the best.

I’m no bbq expert but enjoyed the food here. I asked for burnt ends of brisket and while they don’t exactly serve that, they served me brisket ends which were delicious. Dry rubbed, well smoked — yum. Mac n’ cheese and cole slaw rounded out the meal. Finished it all off with lemon icebox pie. Excellent service. Good times. Bless their hearts…

My husband and I love this place. I was super sketch about what to expect, but for the price, service, beer menu, & good food this place is great. We happened upon it because everything around franklin was a 40+ min wait so we decided to try it out. It has never disappointed us, which goes to show you don’t have to pay 30+ bucks for a decent meal. I recommend the Cuban, pulled pork, & or the 1906 Burger… Appetizers BBQ nachos are delish.

I went through the drive through this go-around. It was not fast service. I spent about 20 minutes in line — only 2 cars ahead of me. Their presentation was beautiful for«fast food». The fries were delicious. The sandwich was good but the BBQ sauce was a little thin for me. A large soda, BBQ sandwich and hand cut fries for $ 9. Not too bad. I’d love to go in and sit down and try their traditional service.

Sat at the bar to eat and watch the Titans game. Justin the bartender was super friendly and very knowledgeble about food. Steered me into all the good stuff on the menu and a good beer from Lynchburg. Got the 4 meat platter(links, NC pork, brisket, and baby backs) and all was excellent. The brisket could have been fattier for my liking. Those cheddar muffins were outstanding. Banana pudding was awesome and a perfect way to end a great meal!

We decided to dine at Jim N Nick’s Bar-B-Q at the last minute when we found out we couldn’t have any Hot Chicken. I ordered the ribs without reading how it was made and I regret my decision. because it wasn’t that good I didn’t care for their BBQ sauce either. Their customer service was great the people were nice and I enjoyed eating their sides the beans and mac n cheese. I wish I had made a better decision my order. I don’t believe ribs should be brined like poultry meats.
