Was desperate for mini-candy canes on Christmas eve, and saw this store by accident and went in. What an amazing selection of all sorts of things. And at great prices. After a day of shopping I was also amazed by the pleasant helpful cashiers. Oh, and they had mini candy canes.

EVERYTIME I go to this store, there is never anyone at the cash register and I wait in line for literally 5 minutes and once someone does come to the register they have an attitude. They need more workers

Name is misleading. It is not a dollar store. They have a few good value items. But most are dollar store quality items at drug store prices. Shower curtain liners are an exception to the rule. Good quality for a thick clear liner at under $ 5.00.

Dollar General isn’t a dollar store. it isn’t a market per se either:
–didn’t see meat department, produce dept.
–alcohol, fast food frozen items, sodas, yes.
–staples, chips, candies, cookies, yes
–clothes, non food items, yes.
eats: el mex vanilla wafer (1) —
–cheaper, tastier than hong kong oil without the bad palm oil (sweeter too)
–real sugar, artificial flavors.
