Got the Thai Iced TEA ice cream & Buko Pandan Ice Cream for my son, & my hubby got Mocha Almond Fudge & Chocolate Ice Cream. «SPEAKINGOFACTSOFKINDNESS«, A couple with their young daughter, were sitting down enjoying their ice cream & were waving to my son. I told my son to say hi to them, which he did. They bought our ice cream today. We didn’t know that they actually paid for our ice cream, otherwise, we would have said«Thank You» in advance. They already left, when we tried to pay, the Cashier told us, someone already paid for our little treat. THANKYOUFORYOURKINDNESS!

Love this place! Tried a nrw flavor called chocolate heat wave. It’s chocolate ice cream with Cayenne pepper mixed in! So delicious but I’m apparently only the second person to order it in over a week, so I’m not getting my hopes up that it will be available for a long time.

Lots of good flavors for a cheap price! I recommend not getting the choco waffle cone. Too thick and doesn’t have a great coco taste. Get it just regular waffle instead. Its delicious on its own.

$ 1.25 for one scoop! My favorite flavors are the mango and green tea. they have ube, cotton candy, lychee, vanilla, strawberry etc… this surely is the best ice cream parlor in Brentwood and surrounding areas, my little kids fav hangout after school around summer time

Promised kids ice cream after church and found this on Unilocal It has Filipino favors for ice cream A Pinoy inside enjoying ice cream I asked him if it’s owned by a Filipino but he said no The white tubs are all home made and the brown tubs(the Filipino flavored) are ordered per the server The strawberry that was homemade was oh so delish and flavorful It’s dirt cheap, each of my 3 girls had 2 scoops and all for $ 6 and it’s not a small scoop Waaaay budget friendly than branded franchised ice cream stores

This place is unbelievable. Great ice cream at incredibly low prices. I don’t know how they do it for these prices. My family of three gets cones for under $ 5 total. Yum!

Had an ice cream craving last night and while in the area Unilocaled an ice cream spot near by. My fiancé & I debated between cold stone & this place we’d never heard of and we are so glad we came! Great prices and amazing flavors. The girls working were very sweet and helpful, even though we must have tried half the flavors lol. I got Cake Batter & Killer Brownie(which was amazing, I devoured it) & my fiancé the chocolate lover got Choco Oreo & Killer Brownie & loved it too! Will definitely be back when we’re around again!!!

$ 1.00 for an ice cream… who would say no but all the more this kind of quality and taste is just a great steal! I luv luv luv the UBE! I wish I can bring it back home to San Jose without the melt… I have to be ready next time to bring an insulated bag to last me with my drive back again to this place… Just so good! I would like to try other flavors as well. I tried the mango and it’s good as well. But I am an UBE fan so I’m sticking with a scoop of UBE and another one to try next time. Just creamy and flavorful ice cream for a buck what else can you ask for…

House made ice cream for a $ 1.25 served by hospitable employees. John’s Ice Cream is a great stop off the four. Two prepack quarts for $ 7.99 or a single quart $ 4.99.

We headed here after an afternoon at Rockin’ Jump… actually, we jumped, ate pizza, then came here… but I had this place in mind because I was looking for some Filipino flavored ice cream. Since this was really close to Rockin’ Jump, I thought we’d might as well check it out and I’m glad I did… The place itself was small, only a few tables, but it’s ok because it was not crowded at the time we got there and really, you could always eat your ice cream outside, or in your car, or wherever. It’s the ice cream taste that matters, right? And I have to say that this was some awesome tasting ice cream… I mean, if I didn’t have a two hour drive I would have bought some pints or quarts of what they had because the ice cream was really good. We had lychee, ube and cake batter and I just love, love love. I don’t know what else to say. It’s really good! You’ll just have to go there and get a scoop… a cheap costing single scoop because it was only $ 1.25! However, next time, I will spend the extra seventy-five cents and get two scoops for $ 2 bucks it’s damn worth it!

Is the ice cream the best quality? No, it’s not as smooth as Cold Stones ice cream sometimes but it sure still has a lot of flavor. I always get the chocolate peanut butter and I’m pretty sure there is real peanut butter swirled into it. It’s so good! The line seems to stay long all day but it’s never that long of a wait. The staff never seems that excited or happy to see you there. I don’t think I have ever seen any of them actually smile. But for $ 1.25 a scoop and decent flavors me and many others will be back.

I’m so happy I’ve found a place almost comparable to Mitchell’s Ice cream in SF(my fav ice cream shop) out in the East Bay! I was craving ice cream and my boyfriend suggested we go to John’s. Totes thought it was a regular ice cream spot but when I got there the first thing I noticed was a sign that advertised one scoop for $ 1.25. Whaaaaat?! What a steal! Even better is two scoops for $ 2! Then I saw the flavors they had to offer. They have a wide variety to choose from including a lot of Filipino influenced flavors such as Halo Halo, Ube, and Mango(hence the comparison to Mitchell’s) but the one that caught my eye was the Buko Pandan! It was delicious! They have other flavors too, not just tropical flavors and they even have sorbets! The only complaint is they don’t have a board that lists the flavors so it’s a struggle, on a busy night like the one I came in on, to see all the flavors since everyone’s blocking it. I also thought the ice cream was more on the icy side and not the creamy side. But hey for $ 1.25 I ain’t complaining. John you da man!

Although a scoop of ice cream was originally $ 1, you still can’t beat $ 1.25 a scoop or $ 2.00 for a double! With that said, ice cream always taste good. Their ice cream is nice and creamy and they have a good selection… So far I’ve liked everything I’ve tasted: Ube, Buko Pandon, Mango, Birthday Cake, Banana Nut, Pistachio Almond, Cookies N Cream, Cookie Dough, Cinnamon Struetal — all are great! Nice treat to take your family after a meal or family outing! I’m always here if I’m around.

John’s Ice Cream is my go-to ice cream spot. Formerly $ 1 a scoop, its 25 cent price increase hasn’t bothered me. Especially since the scoops are hefty. It’s quite possibly the best deal for ice cream in the area and the already wide selection of flavors are ever-changing. I absolutely love their mocha almond fudge & pistachio the best. Grateful to this establishment for providing a pick-me-up for such a low cost!

1.25 for a scoop of ice cream is a steal! I can’t believe I have been missing out on this place. Stumbled upon this small gem while browsing for dessert in Brentwood, and I couldn’t be any happier! They have 24 flavors of ice cream if I counted right, those include: green tea, pandon, ube, cookies and cream, vanilla, pistachio, chocolate, strawberry cheesecake, Maui sherbet, rainbow sherbet, cookie dough, and so much more I can’t remember. Waffle comes were only .65 cents, I was so shocked and please with their prices. They also sell hand packed ice cream in quart sizes, sold in a separate freezer. It was a sunny day and the place was crowded, but the line went by really quick. The service was excellent, and the girls behind the counter were working super fast.
