My husband and I have been coming here for 8 years, not so much for glasses, but for the absolutely excellent eye exams that Dr. Timothy Miller does. Dr. Miller is knowledgeable and thorough. He spends a lot of time with each patient, addressing concerns and then explaining his findings. He’s personable and he listens! We could not recommend him any higher. 5 stars +++!

My family and I always get our eye exam and glasses here. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. Especially my visit in December 2015. I was beyond impressed with how helpful Christina was with me. She took her time to explain all my options. Usually when I go in for my new pair, the sales person tells me how great insurance we have and that I need to get this and that, BUT not really explaining why I need it except that I should just get it since my insurance covers it.
But the only reason I am not giving a 5 star is I had to go back and have my new glasses changed to my previous prescription. And with that came a lot of miscommunication. I don’t know all the lingo they use and I had to keep getting my prescription changed.
I eventually did get the correct prescription, but I felt as if I was the bad person for not knowing the correct terminology.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I needed a new pair of glasses and had an online coupon. She broke down the pricing for me after I chose my frames and had my previous optometrist fax over my perscription so I didn’t have to take another eye exam. Overall experience was great and having your glasses done within an hour is a plus! Yes the frames are expensive but that’s what you get with big brands. Having insurance helps but it’s not going to break your pockets if you don’t (my insurance ended last month). If the frames you like are too expensive don’t get them, plain and simple. There are other frames that are similar to one another and cheaper so look around

But I’ve been coming to get my eyes checked here for over 8 years. Keep in mind, Eye Exam of California is separate from LensCrafters. Two completely different entities. So depending on how good your vision insurance is, you might end up paying wads of cash.
The styles they have at LensCrafters range from Raybans to Prada to Tiffany & Co. So expect to leave with some fancy ass eyes! It’s almost tempting to buy all the name brand glasses they have to offer. I actually have my eye on some Burberry ones for my next check up!
They have a great system going for them. You sign in, get your check up, choose your glasses, and your lenses should be finished within the hour. Come back and you’re done! I find that all the employees at this location are extremely friendly and carry a certain degree of professionalism about them. Part of the reason why I enjoy coming back.

I love this place. Especially how I can get my glasses in a couple hours or less. They have good frames and very helpful staff. I saw Dr. Miller and really like him! He’s funny, he listens, and answers any questions you ask.

Was about to spend over $ 500 on two pairs of glasses (one regular and one prescription) when all of a sudden I was accosted by two police officers because the store personnel thought I was stealing. Nothing was in my purse except for the sunglasses I walked in with (which has gone from my head to my shirt collar and then into my purse) and I did nothing to act shady except asked the sales person not to follow me around and that I would come to her when I was ready. All I can say is don’t walk into that store if you have tattoos and specialty dyed hair (mine is currently gunmetal grey) because they will call the cops on you. I have been a customer of this location for a few years and have spent quite a few hundred dollars with each purchase one time well over $ 700 (i’ve probably spent a grand total of a minimum $ 1,500 — my Barbie doll pink Chanel glasses alone for over $ 400) and I will never ever stop inside this LensCrafters location again!!! Oh that’s right, The police officer informed me I have been banned from the store for life so I guess I will never be back.
So I called the Brentwood police department and they told me the initial call said that they’ve had problems with me in the past that I’m a known thief and that they had told me not to come back in the store none of this is true I haven’t set foot back in that store in probably a year.

I just called LensCrafters in Brentwood Ca to ask for my daughters PD, pupil distance. I was told sure no problem hold on. When whoever she was came back on the line. She was rude. The last time she bought glasses from us was 2011 so this isn’t accurate. I said that’s ok give it to me anyways. She looked it up and said it wasn’t done digitally it was done manually. I said ok. She told me what it was and I said Thank you and she said nothing and hung up. I told my husband before I called they are going to be rude because were not buying the glasses from them. And sure enough they were. I found the same glasses online for half the price they want to charge me. They also offer software to measure yourself the pupil distance. I want the info from them to compare. Our last dealings with Lenscrafters have been unsatisfactory. We will never go there again. I am a business owner and I would never allow my employees to treat my clients this way. Unprofessional. Changing their policies if it breaks not my fault. No accountability.

My experience at this LensCrafters was like night and day compared to my last one in San Diego.
I came in asking if I can have my new glasses (that I had ordered online) adjusted. These glasses have been bothering me since I got them bc they simply don’t stay on my face. I can look down suddenly or even sneeze and they would fall off my face like a total nerd. The lady was happy to help. She did mention that if they become damaged, she isn’t liable. I trusted her. All she did was warm the frame and bent it. And within 5 minutes, it felt like I just got a new pair of glasses.
I asked if there’s a charge and they said no. I was so grateful! I’ll definitely remember this location next time I’m in town and I need anything optical.

This review is for the Eye Doctors there– not glasses and LensCrafters.
Dr. Lin and staff deserve 5 stars. Dr. Miller deserves no stars because he was being an intentional jerk.
I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I saw Dr. Lin for my eye exam and contact lens fitting and she was great– a real straight shooter, a good listener, dry humor and very patient. I liked her a lot.
I went back today for my contact lens fitting check (I wore them for a week before we were to finalize the new prescription). I thought I was seeing Dr. Lin again, but it turned out they’d scheduled me with Dr. Miller instead. I had seen his reviews and people seemed to like him, so I thought nothing of it.
After being seated outside the door to the room he was in with another patient, I heard him and noticed a strange way of speaking to her. She was asking questions and it seemed he was trying to rush her. At one point she said «so are you suggesting.,» He cut her off mid sentence and said to her «I’m not suggesting anything. Did I say that?» I thought that was very rude. He also was referring to himself in the third person like: «you’ll be thinking ‘Dr. Miller was right’» and «but you know Doctor Miller will see that and xxxxxx». So I was feeling a little apprehensive already.
When he was ready for me he was friendly and shook my hand. He looked over my chart and said «So what are we doing here?» I briefly shared how I felt about the new contacts, what was good and what was bad, and how my needing to move to bifocals was creating some new decision making for me.
I told him that I had agreed with Dr. Lin not to look at the strength of the sample pair when I put them in for my trial period, so I wouldn’t make any presumptions or judgements (my words, not hers) and just see how they felt and worked out for a week. He literally rolled his eyes up and shook his head with a dismissive snicker. Then he snarked that since she was ‘playing games’ with me, I should probably see her, not him. Soooo weird! I told him specifically that I didn’t feel like she was playing games *at all*, that I agreed to it and I thought it was smart. and that I really liked her. His response was «OK, whatever.» Really???
When I told him that I was seeing long distance better with my trial contacts, but things up close were blurrier, he made some snotty comments about since I was nearsighted I should be able to figure out what that was. «A stronger prescription means you see better far away and not so well close-​up. Weaker prescription means your vision is not so good far-​off, and is better close-​up. It’s not that hard to figure out. If you’re nearsighted and you know you’re nearsighted… c’mon. (insert snicker) You’re smarter than that!»
Well duhhh. That’s why I was TRYING to discuss this with him, as well as using multi-​focals instead. He said the cost was about twice as much as regular lenses (which is what I thought based on previous discussions with my Dr. years ago), and was trying to avoid. So we agreed I should wear this pair for one more week and come back and see Dr. Lin next weekend.
Then he said he was going to dilate my eyes, and I told him I wasn’t going to be dilated because I’d had a reaction to drops before. He looked at my chart again and saw Dr. Lin’s notes about this. Then he said «Oh c’mon! WHAT reaction? People think they have reactions all the time». I told him I’d felt nauseous and faint seconds after the drops hit my eyes. The Doctor I was with at the time had taken it quite seriously, and had me lay down. She had told me to avoid them in the future, and I had. Dr. Miller said «That was probably from the numbing agent, have you had a kid? Are you allergic to morphine or pain killers? You’re just so sensitive.»
Whaaaa? I told him I never said I was *allergic* to the eye drops, I said I had a *reaction* to them, and I don’t know why. maybe it was dye. Who knows. And that Doctor seeing me told me NOT to use them in the future.
I was getting really mad now, so I said «Why are you gunning for me? What is this? I just met you and you’re giving me crap!» He said «No, no, it’s just that you have to make a choice, so that’s up to you. See you ARE so sensitive!» (insert another snicker)
He then said that they can do air puff tests in lieu of dilation. I told him that his staff actually did the air puff test on my first visit. In his best Beavis and Butthead tone, eyebrows up: «I KNOWW that, it’s MYY business.» I was waiting for him to put his hand on his hip, snap his fingers and do chicken neck like a 16 year old gum-​snapping girl. OMG.
Doctor Miller, I met you five minutes ago, and you sir, are a first class weenie.
That was it. I said «Okie Dokie, Thanks a bunch!» I stood up, grabbed my purse and started to the door. He started (I think) to try and reset the vibe, but I was clearly done.
See Doctor Lin. She is great. If you see Dr. Miller, better hope his panties aren’t in a bunch.

First let me say Dr. Miller is great!!! He takes his time with all his patients. I like how much he interacts with my son while doing his exam. He thoroughly explains what is going on and what it all means. He doesn’t try to push you out the door until you are completely happy and satisfied with the answers.
I’ve gone back to Dr. Miller every year for a checkup even though my insurance doesn’t cover getting my exams done there. That says a great deal for me to pay for an exam for myself and kids just so we can see Dr. Miller on a yearly basis.

Great experience here. All the staff — front office, Doctor, are all very knowledgeable and helpful. They have an excellent selection of sunglasses and eyeglasses too. Definitely will be returning here for my eye exam next year.

So this place works for me as long as Bruce isn’t working. Avoid him. I won’t even go there if he’s working. He’s arrogant, a little rude and somewhat condescending.
My glasses broke so I called and talked to Bruce last week sometime in the late morning. I should have asked for someone else because I’ve dealt with him before previously and that’s when I ininitally formed my opinion of him and because of Bruce my hubby and I left lens crafter’s without purchasing anything until we could deal with someone other than Bruce. Which sucks because I’ve been going to that location since 2011. But anyway I talked to Bruce and he gave the vibe like he didn’t really want to warranty out my glasses. Which is fine because I knew I was covered so I let it go. He checked and made sure my same frames were in stock. they were.
I told him I could come in for them after 5 and he said he would leave them with a note with «Sammy» the manager for me. Great. Smooth sailing. I pack up the baby after work get to lens crafter’s to grab my frames. First mistake was his demeanor. Second mistake was him failing to let me know the warranty would cost me a 100 $ bucks! They don’t tell you that when you buy brand new glasses. But I need glasses. I need MY glasses so I just put it away as a mental note to find a new place to get my glasses after this. But yes, I did bitch about it to Sammy. Moving on, I asked to try on my glasses. Best part here folks.
I was then told that the glasses set aside with my name on them weren’t mine. They were in fact floor models. Say what? Gets better…
My lenses wouldn’t be ready till tomorrow because I have to pay the warranty fee before they will start them. Are you shitting me? I’m like why wouldnt Bruce tell me that over the phone? I would have come by on my lunch break! My glasses were literally super glued together I need my glasses. I asked Sammy why in the world someone would call and have Bruce place floor models on hold! So in the end Sammy took care of me by giving me the glasses at the new warranty rate of 25 $. I stopped being bitchy and said thanks but let her know Bruce sucks.
But wait… there is more. I went and got my glasses the next day and to my dismay Bruce was there. I put my big girl panties on and said f-​it and went in for my glasses. So the new frames were extremely tight. Like uncomfortable. So I mentioned it to Bruce and he said that’s how they come and will stretch to my face. I called bullshit and said my last pair weren’t like this at all. They measured me for the right fit. This ain’t my first pair Bruce. So seemingly irritated Bruce went to a little machine and when he gave them back they felt a little better but still tight. He insisted it was fine and they’d stretch.
I was done with Bruce. So I left with my glasses.
Now a week later, I’ve actually been suffering headaches and I’m pretty sure they are from the glasses that aren’t «stretching» so I’m going to waste another trip to lens crafter’s to have them fix them. I made sure Bruce isn’t working. Someone really needs to send this dude to customer service 101. I’ve complained about him twice now to Sammy and I don’t think it matters. But just avoid Bruce if you go there. Personally I will probably go somewhere else. Thanks Bruce…

Came here with my sister and I must say this place is pretty fantastic! The staff is extremely nice, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Their frame selection is expansive and very on trend. Dr. Miller aka (Dr.McDreamy) is such a character and a genuinely kind individual. In my opinion the cost of frames and service are very reasonable, even more so when backed with the quality service received.

Dr Miller was great! He took his time making sure my 7yr old son had the right prescription. The price of the glasses was reasonable.

Unfortunately, when we went there, the main optometrist was on vacation and there was another optometrist that we have never seen her before, and also a new person who took twice unprofessional pictures of my son’s retina, the pictures showed a funny shadow due to unprofessionalism in taking those photos, so the new optometirst suspected a retinal tear or hole and referred my son to a retina specialist. Guess how will your reaction and worries be as a parent thinking of what might happen to your young son’s sight?! We spent a week in a nightmare in tears until the day of meeting the rentina specialist at a hospital. The retina specialist said that he found nothing in our son’s retina and that funny shadow which displayed before was a reflection because of the way or the angle the head was placed during taking the photos. Thank God. Goodbye LensCrafters.

I had to Unilocal about a particular employee at Lenscrafters who was sooo helpful and kind. I was not happy with my progressive lenses and simply wanted to swap out the lenses in my sunglasses for no prescription. I loved the frames but hated the progressive prescription., (I only need help reading close up.) I expected him to try and convince me to hang in there, but he happily accommodated me without any pressure, and at no cost to me! I received them in 2 hours! Andrew was what all salespeople should strive to be. Courteous, helpful and all done with a smile!

Great experience here! My boyfriend and I came to get eye exams and find a new pair of glasses. First of all just have to say how friendly the people are that work here. I felt very comfortable which made it easy to ask any questions. My boyfriend had his exam at 2:30pm on a sat and had the glasses ready that night ! I was really impressed how fast they have the glasses ready. Also you have 90 days to exchange your frames if your unhappy with them. And offer special financing if you apply and are accepted with no interest for 6 months. I will defiantly come back for my next eye check up!

I went to LensCrafters this week and had a great experience. I haven’t had vision/​eyeglass insurance for years, and I used to go to a different store in Pittsburg that I gave up on because the sales people were SO pushy.
LensCrafters was totally different! The sales people and assistants were all very laid-​back but helpful. The pre-​screening and exam took a longer time than I expected to, but it was really thorough. I actually felt like they cared more about my eye health than about selling me the most expensive frames and lenses. (The ones I got were still expensive even with the sale on lenses, but I expected that going in.) Dr. Miller knows his stuff, and is a hoot! When I need glasses again in the future I’m definitely going here instead of the old place.

I needed some new specs back in January so I decided to head here since they accepted my insurance. The girls in the front are very helpful with selecting frames and suggesting the best lense for you. The Doctor is extra cool he even helped me with choosing frames!

A really good experience is hard to come by for health care. It is for me, anyway, so I am really pleased to review the LensCrafters location in the Streets of Brentwood. It’s a much smaller location than the Sun Valley location, but it’s just right. It’s clean and bright. The staff is crazy with kindness!
Usually, the visits have been to Sun Valley for glasses for my daughter. Now, we’re visiting the Brentwood location for contact lenses. They have to order + prescriptions, and that’s okay. They were great about call reminders and proper instructions about everything. They made using my EyeMed vision coverage a breeze too.
Now the eye exam. If you don’t know, this location uses Eyexam of CA doctors for the exam and prescriptions. In this case, that usually refers to Dr. Miller. I like this doctor. He’s young and sharp as a tack! Going through the exam he gave my daughter was better than I can ever remember. He understood much about her vision very quickly. He also explained a lot of the why for much of what was required as well as recommendations. Though I can get exams elsewhere for free, I’m willing to pay more and get what I believe is a better exam from Dr Miller.
I don’t want to make it sound too great or I might have to wait in line behind you to get that great service!
