Mika is amazing. She gave my 7 year old the cutest a-​line cut, while my kiddo insisted on squirming. She does a great job on my hair as well. I’m so very grateful we found her. Rake is a quiet, relaxing little shop in old town Brentwood. Such a great location. Mika, along with the rest of the stylists there are very friendly and inviting.

Jordan did such an amazing job on my daughters hair! Her highlights came out beautiful! We are extremely happy with the results! We are definitely going back again. I recommend Jordan to anyone looking for the best color/​cut in town!

I have been to Jordan twice and she does a great job. She has been able to do exactly what I request each time. I will be going to her for all of my hair needs. The salon is clean and comfortable and I always feel very relaxed when I go.

I have going to Rake Salon in Brentwood Ca and cannot recommend it enough. The salon is very trendy and all the girls in the salon are extremely gifted. I found Mika who is very talented in making sure that you get the right haircut and is very professional while being very kind and thoughtful

Rake salon has an extremely relaxed and welcoming feel. The salon is very well maintained and clean. Jord was my stylist today and she is just the sweetest. She made friendly conversation with me while discussing what I wanted to do with my hair. She took me from a very sad attempt at an ombré to a delicious cool chocolate brown with some much needed dimension that is perfect for winter.

My husband and I recently moved to Brentwood and it was time to find a new hair girl. I recently had a baby and was having MAJOR hair issues — my hair had fallen out BIG TIME and the color was TERRIBLE (hormones/​pregnancy, having the baby, etc.).
I walked by Rake one day and decided to call and make an appt. — which can be a little scary (not knowing anything about the salon and/​or having a recommendation).
I was able to book an appointment for that same week w/​Mika. I was SO embarrassed about my hair but she made me feel comfortable and was so easy to talk to about what I wanted. I love that she even inquired to another stylist about what we were about to do w/​my hair (for her advice). Mika really did an AMAZING job. I booked another appointment that day. The salon is beautiful and super clean had a great vibe. I’ll be going to Rake and Mika for as long as we live here!

Rake Salon has such a comfortable & pretty atmosphere. They have several stylists with decades of experience and a few new stylist who are quickly building their clientele. Located in downtown Brentwood there’s always parking right in front of the shop. My stylist, Staci, has been doing my hair for 10 years and I usually give her complete control with the cut color and style.

Jordan is amazing. Her talent with color is unreal. I have followed her on facebook and she is literally magic with color. She is so nice, made me feel right at home in the salon, which is gorgeous! She was quick, on time and she gave me the most awesome head massage when washing me. I will continue to go to her and would recommend her to anyone looking for the best cut and color in the biz. Terrific job!

Alicia is an amazing talent and has created a beautiful, yet comfortable space in which to showcase it. Color, cut, style: Alicia is great at all. She really cares about what you want for your look and will make sure you get it. I happily drive an hour from Oakland to see Alicia because I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Love Rake Salon! It’s so beautifully decorated and they have the best product lines! Staci is my girl but I met Alicia and Jordan the last time I was in and they are both amazing as well! I’ve been going to Staci for 8 years because she’s the best. I highly recommend Rake!

So glad I was referred to Alicia, owner of Rake Salon! As soon as I arrived, Alicia made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She took the time to really listen to my hair concerns and made helpful suggestions. Alicia’s experience and talent as a stylist are apparent — and as a result, I had the best haircut and color I have had in quite some time.
The salon décor is beautiful — very industrial chic while being warm and inviting. Overall a great experience. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I love the Rake Salon! Its warm ambiance and cozy feeling made me feel comfortable and at home. I have been a DIY (Clairol Girl) for the last year and decided it was time to put it back in the hands of a professional. I did not have a specific color in mind but asked Alicia to cut the ends to bring back a healthy style, get rid of the grey and add highlights. OMG… my hair had not felt or looked that great in years. The second time the highlights were a little more defined… the best part was when I walked in the door that night and my kids smiled and said, «mommy you look beautiful!».
Alicia is fabulous, the location in Downtown Brentwood convenient, plenty of parking and especially love the late afternoon availability. Highly recommend!

I am so excited to write this review! I was surprised to see that nothing had been posted yet too! Saw Alicia the other day, after waking by and peering into the window. The décor of her salon is perfectly Shabby Chic, super clean, and the perfect atmosphere for a mellow, no fuss, great salon experience. I have super long, thick, and unruly hair… always scary to go somewhere new but since my regular stylist is about a two hr drive away:(I decided to go new:)
Alicia is amazing… super talented, took her time to discuss what my needs were, felt my hair, told me what I could expect, and was such a love! My hair smelled like «love» and funny enough the product she used was «Love» by an amazing Italian line. Sometimes what a salon sells and stands by is enough… but Rake is a double whammy.
What a great haircut. And I cannot wait to go back for color. Haircuts btw are affordable and fair, and she is super talented, down to earth, and very nice.
