Very patient with this anxious person! Nice friendly office. Excellent front desk staff!

Find a different dentist. Really. This guy, Dr. R. Martin, is creepy beyond belief and if you have a shadow of a cavity which is basically a place where a cavity might form he is quick to schedule an appointment to fill it. It was not even hurting yet, though he poked at it like 1000 times to see if I would wince in pain.
Oh and the last time I had a cavity filled by him I experienced lots of pain and new sensitivity to hot and cold food in my teeth that he had just worked on and when I went in to complain about this problem he told me it was just how my teeth are and told me to try a new toothpaste!!! After 20 years of no sensitivity I’m just supposed to believe that it just started out of nowhere?! With no fault on your poor dentistry, Dr. Martin?! STAY AWAY FROM THIS WACKADOO!
Everybody else in the office is super nice and friendly and willing to talk with you about dental hygiene and what not, but he was just cold and unfriendly. Currently looking for another dentist because I never want to see him again.

So actually this is my first time here! I can tell you I here great things of this dentistry! It’s in a beautiful new location just around the corner from my home! Clean air conditioning place! Very friendly staff!

Dr.‘s Rigo and Martha Martin may just be the best dentists in California. I started seeing them in 2004 to fix my teeth after an accident and have stayed ever since. They are affordable, caring, and great at what they do. The receptionists are great at making you feel like the only patient of the day and the hygienists make you feel like they truly want to know everything about you. It’s not a job for them, it’s a family.

Mr. Martin has been the best dentist i have ever been to! I have been seeing him for 7 years and I have never once had a bad experience at his office. Rigo (i call him by his first name) is not only the most careful and kind dentist that i have ever met but is also very intelligent. He is thorough and clear about each and every step he takes. Rigo is the type of dentist that doesn’t just put on a show for work. He is passionate, caring, and one of the funniest dentists that i have met. Which has been over 10 dentist before i found him. (Im not a fan of the dentist office like most lol) He has taught me so much about keeping my teeth healthy so that i don’t have to spend anymore money on dentist bills. He is honest about prices and has never tried to have me pay for unnecessary work. This is a dentist that truly cares for his patients.
Unfortunately I now live over 100 miles away and am unable to see Rigo but he is well missed. He will forever be the best dentist i have ever come across. If i could leave you Unilocalers with one word of advice… Try out his office!!! I promise that you will not be disappointed!

Dr. Martin is a great dentist. I grew up going to him and have always had a severe fear of drilling and needles but he always made me feel comfortable. The staff is very friendly and both doctors are wonderful. They never do any unnecessary work and are very good about scheduling. Dr. Martin even treated me on a weekend during an emergency. This office deeply cares about their patients. Definitely come here.

Over the years as I’ve moved around the country and changed jobs and dental plans, I’ve had probably 20 dentists. THIS ONE IS THE BEST EVER! I was referred by a friend, who was also referred by a friend. They told me they liked them because they didn’t do work that was unnecessary, and were good.
I was told about 4 years ago by another dentist that a particular tooth of mine had a crack, and would need a root canal and a crown – $ 3000++. I didn’t have insurance then so I delayed. I went in and all it was was a FILLING! even after I told them what the other dentist had said (which gave them the opportunity to screw me over if they were like that) Total cost to me out the door $ 130.
They work fast and take the time to show you x-​rays, and explain everything that they are doing. Everyone is super nice, and they took the time to welcome me and my two sons to their practice. So far I’ve had an initial exam, 3 fillings and a cleaning. My oldest son had one filling, an initial exam and a cleaning, my youngest son had a cleaning and exam. Every visit was awesome.

I’m not sure about «Snaky H’s» experience… I suspect that they are a competitors friend, as there is NO WAY they did any of that. They are TOTAL professionals, and I will be telling everyone that I know about this awesome dentist.

Did extra work. Wouldn’t back it up with X-​rays. Did work that 4 other independent dentist said was unnecessary. Will do work on what other dentists call stains and say, «It’s dark, that means it’s a cavity. «Rushes the work, doesn’t wait for topical anesthetic to kick in before using his needle. He’s very nice and polite to compensate for drilling out your teeth, doing sloppy and unnecessary work. Spends more time flirting with his assistants than working on your teeth.

I noticed another review that seems like Mike W. wrote a review just to contradict what I wrote. Sure enough I look at the bottom of the review and he mentions my review. Kind of odd the review was done on the same day of the year as mine and feels the need to discredit my review instead of standing on it’s own. A competitor singling out one of how many dentists in Contra Costa County? What sounds more likely, that another Dentist is conspiring against him or that he didn’t want his business hurt by an honest review of poor service? This wouldn’t be the first time a business owner lied to cover up a bad review.
I left it out before, but the receptionist was also very rude. In fact only 1 out of four people I interacted with were actually polite and seemed to care about the patients. Hopefully this review make them more accountable in the future. I’ve switched Dentists and am happy and may post that review in the future. Honestly «Mike W.» review sounds fishy and defensive doesn’t it? He’s been to 20 dentists? Have you ever heard of that from anybody in your life?
