Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s actually cares how you are when they ask at check out. Micah asked me how I was. At first I said ok and then I answered truthfully – my family lost a dog today. He had his manager bring me a bundle of flowers. It was so caring.
So, besides being a great place to shop, they care, too. Thanks, Micah.

Okay, I’ve been to many Trader Joe’s — Cambridge, MA, E. Northport, NY (my fave) and here in St. Louis, I think I’ve been to all of them here.
This one is close to home… parking is TIGHT.
Once you get inside the store, you’ll find very attentive and friendly staff members. If they don’t have it, believe by the next day… they’ll have it for you.
Easy to exchange items! They give awesome food suggestions and product suggestions. And SAMPLES… if it’s not open, they’ll open it for you to try! BEST!!!

This place is the bomb diggity. Love love love it! What unique finds from all over the world. Quite interesting. Try it, I know you won’t be disappointed and the prices are fairly good. Neat neat neat things…

Who doesn’t love Trader Joes? I mean, seriously. They have your essentials plus everything you don’t need but want because it’s amazing.
You can get all of your standard fresh fruits and veggies and some simple meats. Their meat selection isn’t as robust as it could be but that’s NBD. They make up for it in a prolific amount of frivolous goods like: amazing truffles, the best spiced popcorn in the world, delicious rice blends, an expansive booze collection, and mad amounts of pre made food. Frozen soup dumplings anyone? Yes please!
I’m always experimenting with Trader Joe’s branded items and am always looking to try something new that they offer. Even their frozen meals are reasonably priced and decently healthy.
I will say this location can get packed on a Sunday evening. Just come prepared to wait in a ten minute line at the check-​out if you’re going during a popular time. Other than that, I love my T-Joe’s

I literally come to Trader Joe’s at least once a week to get all my groceries. They have a good selection of a little bit of everything and my suitemates and friends have recently been getting addicted to the pastrami style smoked salmon. They eat like a whole pack of that stuff in one sitting.
I like Trader Joe’s because it’s just way better than Schnucks and they have high quality goods. I just wish they had a bit more organic produce.
I do get a lot of healthy food here like my gluten free wheat bread, organic free range large eggs, goat milk yogurt, organic mandarin oranges, organic chicken, etc.
The chicken gyoza dumplings are also really addicting and not too unhealthy. They also have really great moscato!
Trader Joe’s is my fave grocery store.

I’ve always loved Trader Joe’s, and I never knew my love could grow any larger (well, maybe after Pumpkin Spice Cookie Butter came out…) until today.
After losing my keys somewhere between Trader Joe’s and Target, Trader Joe’s was the only business that seemed to care at all about my situation. Whereas other businesses (lookin’ at you, Target!) brushed me off, someone at Trader Joe’s took down my name and number in case the keys showed up, and several employees genuinely seemed concerned and offered any help they could.
Tonight was by far the coldest night of the year, and AAA was quite busy helping other customers. My boyfriend and I waited almost 3 hours in Trader Joe’s entryway for a service technician to come by, and we were so grateful that they let us do so. We were obviously offered to come inside, but the entryway had a large heater that actually did a pretty good job and we had to be by a window to see the AAA driver.
The best part, though, was that multiple employees came by and brought us chocolate and flowers! What’s even funnier is that none of them knew their fellow employees had brought us something — they all were caring and considerate enough to bring something over for us. I wish I had caught everyone’s names, but I do remember Azad (I hope that’s what it was, sorry if I butchered that!) and he and several other employees made sure we were taken care of.
We are so SO grateful for everything Trader Joe’s did to make our wait better. They could have ignored us or even asked us to stop loitering in their entryway so long, but they treated us with the utmost hospitality and because of this, I will forever be a Trader Joe’s shopper! Thank you, Trader Joes!!!

I’m a big fan of Trader Joe’s overall. They seem to be a really good company to support. Great service and friendly staff. No preservatives in most of their foods. A wide variety of solid tasting frozen meals that we have liked. The salt content tends to be high, but that is much better than unnatural preservatives. The produce has very affordable organic options; notably the berries. Much better price point than other high end grocer. My biggest complaint is honestly the location. This shopping center is just brutal to navigate on the weekends. That’s what keeps this at a lower star for me personally.

For the past year, I’ve done the majority of my shopping here. I just can’t be in a bad mood when I’m in Trader Joes (and it’s almost guaranteed that I’m fuming in the parking lot, like everyone else).
I walk in, immediately give in to the temptation to buy flowers, and begin my circuit with the lively produce section. As I work through the aisles, I’m confident in the quality and selection in all respects. I usually find what I need and I always pick up a quirky novelty to try.
Top three favorite groceries: English Coastal Cheddar Cheese, frozen Kung Pao Chicken, and the Les Portes Bordeaux.
I avoid shopping on weekends. It’s too nuts.
Also, early morning is replenishing time, apparently. It can be awkward to navigate with the stockers. The plus side is that you never need to look far for help!
I would shop the pants off a Trader Joes if they were to open a location closer to downtown.

Yay! Love Trader Joe’s. But 4 out of 5 stars because it’s basically always crazy crowded (which isn’t exactly their fault because of how awesome they are but something which definitely detracts from the shopping experience).
They even have a tasting section in the back. Every time I’ve been there there’s been a drink and a food option.
They have alcohol here and you can find brands and products you can’t really find other places in the area. Try their frozen croissants that you let rise overnight and bake in the morning. They have a large produce selection but some of their stuff can be seasonal.
Speaking of seasonal, you should go now, like right now — Thanksgiving time they have tons of specialty products they don’t have other times of year. We were able to get our Turkey here as well.
Go wild. You won’t regret it.

If one can survive the journey through Brentwood’s packed roads and locate a parking spot you will be reward with Trader Joes.
Great spot for getting fresh not brown nearly lifeless thyme or basil. Some great fines like large bags of nuts that are not rancid, dried fruit, great pizza dough and a number of snacks.

I love Trader Joe’s their prices are more reasonable than some of the other good food stores with organic and farm raised.
I wish they would open up a location where I live or I guess I could always move to where they are.LOL.
The food is always good, and I love their ice cream and the pies, oh my goodness… delicious.
I would like to seem them get more food items in that are organic or wild caught, that would make me even happier with them. But in the meantime, I will continue to shop there and enjoy their foods. They have just about everything you can want and I will not complain about them whatsoever, other than more items please.
The have clean store, the customer service is great and items are really easy to find. Clean parking areas. I don’t see any coupons or sales coming from there, but that does not mean they don’t have them.
I am glad there are food stores like Trader Joe’s, wish there were more.

gotta love this place, if not for their great products, then at least for their service and their people. they all are so chipper and pleasant to interact with. I personally love their flowers/​plant selection.
not one thing that I’ve purchased from this place has been a disappointment. I’ve enjoyed their snacks, dips, meats, fruits and veggies, alcohol, drinks, basically everything!
it does get busy here on the weekends… you have been warned!

This store was bigger than Whole Foods, but I really did not feel much difference between the two stores. Sorry I just don’t get it…

This concept is great, the selection is good enough… I love it. Solid food variety, clean, friendly, music is surprisingly upbeat, and prices are reasonable, cheaper than some chains around here.
SIDEBAR: If you go by yourself and are really quiet, you can enjoy the people of the earth trying to one-​up each other, whether it’s listening to staff tell customers that they haven’t had «that exact coconut water… the last time I had it coconut water was riding on top of an elephant chopping coconuts in Thailand and they just put a straw in it,» or spouses arguing over which ingredients were in that «article we read» (the elephant is 100% true — I was so mad someone wasn’t there with me to enjoy it with me).
Peace & Love man… Trader Joe’s rocks.

This is where I do most of my shopping! You Whole Foods quality without spending your whole paycheck! Also, there are always samples! Yum!
A lot of people complain about pretentious patrons, but I don’t think they’re half as bad as the patrons at Whole Foods. The only problem I have is the fact that they have mini shopping carts that are meant for 5 year olds — this is a disaster.
This place can get a little busy and you might have a line at the check out. You’ll also probably be annoyed with the ridiculous parking lot (tiny spaces, crowds and drivers that aren’t paying attention). But the positive energy from the employees make up for that!
There are also plenty of sweet and unique treats here — cookie butter ice cream, plantain chips and cashew butter just to name a few!

Trader Joe’s I love you, but the parking lot sucks. My husband almost got into 5 accidents!
I love you, but I think I’m going to stick with the Manchester location so my life doesn’t have to flash before my eyes every time I drive in the parking lot.

I have a love/​hate with Trader Joe’s.
I love:
The alcohol selections.
The frozen foods.
The friendly staff.
I hate:
How incredibly busy they always are (I’m sure they don’t mind this).
The pretentious air that accompanies the patrons.
The sometimes saccharin friendliness of the staff (I know, it’s a double standard, but hey, it’s my opinion)
I will continue to go, because the good outweighs the bad, but that’s not necessarily the outlook they are going for.

I love this location! I have always encounter great service and am always able to find what I need! I love shopping here during the fall for their pumpkin everything!

Trader Joe’s is the best place to shop, e all know that, or we should. This review is for this location. The other STL area locations are ok. What sets apart The Joe’s (as my family calls it) at this location is the super friendly staff. I mean like beyond friendly. They recommend without you asking, they ask if you need a basket (and if you say no, someone is going to bring you one in case you were «being polite»)
My only complaint unfortunately they can’t fix. THAT DAMN PARKING LOT!!! I mean its like Hunger Games for parking out there! But as much as I hate busy parking lots i still come to the location… that says a lot.

I went into the Brentwood Trader Joe’s on the hunt for nitrate free bacon… Odd I know. But they not only had it in stock, they had multiple varieties and brands!!! I am excited to add bacon back into my life after converting to a more natural earth based diet. (I am not saying I am Paleo by any means)
I found my experience at TJ’s a good one. The customers seem to lag in each aisle, not watching where they are going, but other than that, its GREAT! I nearly got my toe rolled over by a cart a few times!
The customer service from TJ’s employees was awesome. Very helpful in locating items and answering my questions!
I like this store a lot better than the Creve Coeur location as its larger and easier to maneuver in the store.
I will be back for sure!
