Great food! Affordable menu items and continuously delectable specials to choose from. I go back every time!

I’ll go over Marco’s, but not much of an improvement. I’ve been many times and they are consistently average. The food is pricey and usually not great. The service makes paying the prices feel like your paying extra to be punished. It wasn’t always this bad, so in a small town it used to be an option.

Went 1st to Marco’s but they couldn’t take us without a reservation so we went next door and are glad we did.

Took my visiting family(party of 8) to Hob Nob for Sunday brunch. WOW! What has happened to one of our previously great restaurants? We were greeted by the most unfriendly person I have ever encountered as a hostess. She was just downright rude. She reluctantly sat us inside(our request). No one else was in the restaurant. She brought our water with attitude and I asked f she was having a bad day(hint hint). She said she was fine hmmmm. We got up and left. With Marco’s next door, Square Root and Jaime’s down the street we decided we did not have to put up with this lack of service. So sad. After reading some of the other reviews I hope they get their act together and become more consistent with their food and service like they used to be. Atmosphere is great but it is not enough for us. Will give it one more shot since we are local so we shall see…

Have to agree with David R review from 9-7-2015. Husband ordered the vegetarian Mac n Cheese but received the special that night. It was very dry Mac n Cheese with duck and shrimp! Who does that?! I ordered the special gazpacho – watermelon and strawberries. Had to send that back after a couple bites. It was unusually tangy, not in a good way. Wine was drinkable. On the other hand, our waiter was superb. Very attentive. We did not share our concerns with him, except for the soup. Didn’t feel like going through all the hoopla. Probably won’t return based on our experience and previous reviews.

Atmosphere and food good. Service on this occasion spotty and not up to par. Restaurant trends to be fun and a good mix of people. I do recommend it

Worst experience ever. Our guests ate there tonight and it was a horrible reflection on what was once a great restaurant. Do not they have food? Do they not have any common sense? So once friend ordered the gouda mac and cheese with artichoke, etc. What they delivered was garbage. Noodles with tasteless alfredo sauce with carrots and celery. No gouda, no artichoke, no flavor. The waitress wouldn’t look them in the eye as she delivered this poor excuse for food. Compted it, but so what. Add waiting 20 minutes for a glass of wine and you have a dining experience that should be a «0» but Unilocal doesn’t provide that option. Bad, Bad, Bad.

Delicious dinner, great selections, exquisite duck confit over house made pasta, and a fantastic waiter named Bobby. All around just this side of perfect.

Everything was yummy. Scallops were perfect. Pork BBQ is NC style, that is vinegar. Salmon & trout were great. Service was very good. Coloring books for kids. Lots of cool art on the walls and windows — painted by the chef!

Amazing food & great service! Easy pick over it’s non-service oriented neighbor Marco’s…we will pick Hobnob any day, always leave happy. They do get busy and have to turn people away but do their best to accommodate. The food is fresh and the kitchen does it’s best to accommodate special requests or substitutions however I find this rarely needs to be done here as they are spot on with their menu & pairings. In a small town it’s nice to have high-end food with small town feel. We have never been disappointed in the food and as far as customer service… they have their closest competition beat by miles!

Neat old house. We had lunch here today. The chicken salad with hint of curry was delicious. My husband enjoyed the turkey melt. Not very many wines-by-the-glass to choose from… like 1 per variety. We enjoyed our booth tucked back in a nook and cranny.

Great service and excellent food. Had lunch outside in the sun and our dog enjoyed too :-) fish tacos and delicious quiche, unfortunately our stay is too short for another lunch there.

This place is very good. We had mussels that were amazing. Who would have thought that mussels and chorizo were a good combo? Amazing. Trout with lobster equally good. Service was prompt and balanced. Give it a run. You will be happy you did.

Mussels in wine tarragon chorizo broth were absolutely delicious. Ordered fresh trout and pasta dinner. Both were equally amazing. Great menu & prompt service!

This was a very charming place right on Main Street. The lady in A Better Bead(fantastic bead store, by the way) told us of 2 good restaurants right next door to her, so we went with Hob Nob. I loved the charm of the place — hardwood floors, beautiful furniture, and really a nice place to have a quiet lunch with a friend. I would not recommend it for small children, as there are a lot of things that they could get into. Older kids would be fine. It is more of a place where you would go with a date or your partner, or a small group of girlfriends. Our service was excellent. It’s a good menu, but I found the food a tad pricey. I’m a vegetarian, and there weren’t a lot of options for me. I ended up having a wonderful tomato soup, and an appetizer of warm French bread that came with a nice olive oli dipping sauce that had delicious herbs in it(get this if you good — it’s great). I really enjoyed the soup. I also has some wonderful southern sweet tea. There’s beautiful outoor seating on a nice day. There’s plenty of free street parking and about a block away there’s a little free public lot. I wouldn’t have cared even if I didn’t eat anything there; I loved the inside so much, and the friendly server — all good.

Dined upstairs by the window, had excellent service, and dinner — from appetizer to entrée to dessert — was absolutely perfect.

Located on Main Street in a two story house directly adjacent to Marco Trattoria Restaurant. You can dine out doors, which we did, or inside dining room or small bar area with two tables and about 6 bar seats. The bar has two outdoor seats through an open window bar counter. We did not have a reservation on a Sunday night but were lucky to get a seat outside. They had a very nice jazz group of keyboard, sax, bass, xylophone and drums. We ordered a grilled Caesar salad and bruschetta with glass of Zin. Good atmosphere and music which enticed you to linger.

I decided to treat my mother & grandma to lunch here. I used the Unilocal reviews to find an interesting place in the area that we’d never visited. I’m so glad I picked Hob Nob. My grandma loved her food. She ordered the coconut, carrot & curry soup with a half sandwich. She raved about it! My mother was also happy with her black-forest ham sandwich. Mission accomplished !!! My tuna burger was so so. The best part was the beautiful outdoor seating ! We hope to visit again soon!

I really love finding local places that serve top notch food with great service. The Hobnob is yet another of those places. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and maybe house purchase. No wait on a Tuesday evening. Fast service. Excellent service and great food to go with it. I had the All Natural Chicken, Shrimp, and Sausage Jambalaya with Peppers and Okra. My only«minor» regret was it got a bit watery near the end, but the ingredients were all top notch. Needed more bread to soak up the sauce. Also shared a dessert with my sister, the rasberry sorbet from Kiwi Gelato down the street in Brevard. AWESOME! Parking can be nuts, as it’s on street. It’s worth going! I can’t wait for my next visit.

Hobnob is an excellent spot for a ladies lunch or a special meal out. It is a house decorated with plants and arts/crafts with seating outside, downstairs, and upstairs. I love how you come here dressed up or dressed casually. We’ve had lunch and dinner here as well as our wedding rehearsal dinner. Lunch is comparable in price to other cafés in downtown Brevard. My husband had the fried oyster poboy and loved it. I tried Hobnob’s BLT that includes prosciutto, fried green tomatoes, and I want to say goat cheese. I liked it but prefer a classic BLT. Speaking of classic, their tomato basil soup is a classic — creamy goodness. Dinner may be more expensive than area restaurants but we have loved everything we’ve eaten here… the mountain trout, pasta, scallops, etc. We chose Hobnob for our rehearsal dinner because they have an upstairs room that can give you and your guests a little privacy. Stacey worked with us to have a fixed menu offering that offers something for everyone — the vegetarian, the person who doesn’t like vegetables, the person who wants the mountain trout, etc., etc. Our wedding party loved their dinners(crab cakes, scallops, pork, mountain trout, butternut squash pasta, veal) and the atmosphere that Hobnob provided. I tried all of the desserts — a caramel gelato from a local gelato shop, a berry sorbet, and a white chocolate cheesecake with berries — yum. My favorite was the gelato but the cheesecake was a treat — not too rich. Everyone left full but not stuffed. We will definitely be back when we are in Brevard in the future.
