Going to Bob’s Diner has always been a hit! You can’t go wrong with the ’ the sandwich’! This sandwich contains ham, sausage, egg, potatoes, cheese, bacon with a touch of Tabasco sauce on a roll. Very tasty! I’ve also had the pancakes, chili, BLT, bacon cheeseburger with fries, cheese fries, cinnamon raisin french toast, and can’t wait to try other food choices on their extensive Diner menu. This small retro Diner is a bit quirky and from the outside doesn’t look like much but that’s part of it’s charm. No frills but really great food at a good price!

Great place! If I lived there I might frequent it. The owner was very accommodating for the large group I came with(22). He was friendly and talked to us when things wound down. Food was good and the waitresses were on top of things.

Hands down the best breakfast spot in the area. So much hometown feel, such a cool environment, friendly people, and the aura of a place where everyone knows your name! The Burberry Pancakes are the best. The coffee is good both hot and iced. The biggest breakfast, called the hungry man — is 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes, all with home fries and your choice of toast — all for just $ 10.99, more food than you will eat! Oh, and they get it — when you ask for hot sauce, they ask what kind? Apparently they have Franks, sriracha, Louisiana, Tabasco, and at least one more. Don’t get discouraged by a line or a week at this tiny place, your patience will be rewarded!

I have lived in Brewster for a year, and just now visited for the first time! This place is awesome. I had a cheddar and mushroom omelette with home fries, and they were both excellent. My boyfriend had the hungry man breakfast and I must say that the sausage links are AMAZING. I will definitely be sure to order that next time.

I’ve been to this over priced hole in the wall a few times now. All I can say is that the Egyptian guy that works nights really needs to wear gloves when he cooks. I ordered a egg sandwich and he man handled everything. It was disgusting watching someone use their bare hands WITHOUTWASHINGTHEM! the food isn’t that good it’s really not worth the mediocre food, you can find better food somewhere else.

You people must be paid for your reviews. I get frightened just driving by. I went in sat down and at the window was insects encrusted in a thick mat of dirt. The Cook is whomever they can get they seem to pick and choose when to open. I watched the Cook du jour had sweat pouring from his forehead onto the grill! This place is disgusting and the Health department should stop in ! Gross

Love this place. This man has a way with bacon like no other. BESTBLT I have ever had. Such a little gem of a place located steps from the train station so, it’s great for a quick coffee or bite pre-travel. We make a point of going there every time we head into the city for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Prices are insanely good as is the food. One star off because the last time we were in, the waitresses were a bit short with us but otherwise, Bob’s is a must try for all.

I’ve been going to Bob’s on and off for 20+ years. It’s well over ½ hour away from me, but I make a point to go here when I’m in the area or passing by, simply because Tom(owner and grillmaster) makes possibly the best omelette I’ve ever had, and serves hash browns on weekends, and occasionally on weekdays when he has them in stock. There’s a comfortable variety to the menu, not too big and not too small. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and served promptly by servers who are friendly, efficient and hard working. The diner is clean, well it, and small; there’s a noticeable takeout business as well as plenty of customers who come in to sit down and enjoy their meals. Prices are good and the quality of the food is superior to anything in the same price range from any chain, and from other diners. I’ve probably been to half the diners in the Hudson Valley and if I had to pick the best one, this is it.

Bob’s diner is the perfect fit for interstate travelers in search of a quick breakfast or lunch. Don’t let the age of this restaurant put you off. It’s seasoned with comfort food from eggs to grilled cheese sandwiches. Service was simple and efficient. No pretense here. The food was fresh and hot and hit the spot. I’m guessing everything is homemade because when I ordered the corn beef hash with my eggs, the server sheepishly told me the cook will be making a new batch tomorrow and they are out today. Easy on and off I84 in the very small town of Brewster next to the train station… of course. 4 stars because the seats are all ripped up.

Bob’s is an experience. You’ll see eccentric customers come and go, you’ll see the pictures on the walls and understand this isn’t a 24⁄7 mega diner, but rather a small stage coach diner with some history. You’re not going to find anything with a unique modern spin, just good prices for good food, good staff, and a quick getaway. The owner is the late Bob’s son if I remember correctly, he’s a great guy. Great for kids, picky eaters, greasy spoon aficionados, weekend insomniacs, townies, and city-people with an air of classist superiority. Not sure if you can BYOB, but I wouldn’t doubt it.

Came here one night while killing some time. Had some hot tea & chicken soup. Wasn’t half bad. The tea was bottomless & the staff was very friendly. Cozy little place but it did have warmth both physically & and figuratively. If I were in the area again, I’d consider stopping by for a meal.

I couldn’t believe it. The same guy sweeping and wiping counters with no gloves was the cook. Who by the way didn’t wash his hands, as he went to handle my vegetables and meat. I was disgusted and let him know. Cute little shop but not very clean. And when I was about to spend $ 15 on breakfast, I’d like a germ free breakfast. Sadly, I will never go back.

My GPS showed this place while searching for a restaurant while driving to Boston from Philly. This place is perfect! Old fashioned little diner with great food and sweet service. I had the chicken salad club — very nicely done. I would highly recommend this place.

Cutesy little diner by the train station. Came in for sodas with some folks before getting the train back to New York. Everything in this town is close together. It’s great. Felt bad for the old woman working there, she’d had bad customers all day apparently and was bone tired. Even though we just had sodas, we tipped well.

Awesome diner I am frequent breakfast person who has tried many diners in the area and most have been fair however Bobs Diner is on my top three list! The potatoes are awesome and fresh(not like typical diners where they are sloppy and have ben sitting overnight), the sausage selection was great and the pancakes are to die for! My choice for breakfast but go early since it does get crowded! My son and I tend to go early before we go skiing!

Great food. Cute diner with quirky décor. The waitresses were quirky too. Side of avocado is a nice, healthy option. Small old time dinner. Great spot to eat a quick tasty breakfast off of I-95.

I thought this was a lovely nook located in a small town called Brewster. The waitresses are friendly and patient. The veggie quesadilla that I had was completely satisfying in portion size and fresh quality ingredients. I was so happy with my meal and would consider driving 2 hours back there to grab something else. My fiancée had the nutella banana french toast which did taste great. All in all, I had the most fun time there.

If only Bob’s Diner would relocate to Charlotte, I’d be a very happy(and fat) girl! Grew up going to Bob’s on the weekend mornings with family, then as I got older spent many a drunken night/morning soaking up the alcohol with some unhealthy but delicious diner food. Bacon, egg and cheeses, burgers, BLT’s, french fries, pancakes and on and on are all sooo good. Its usually at its absolute best when Thomas is behind the grill but others do a great job as well. Definitely need to stop in next time I am up and get my delicious diner fix!
