Tried again last night first off it took over a half hour to order. First drinks 10 minutes for that stale bread took another 10 minutes to come out. Then ordered after 20 minutes. salads came first. He forgot the soup asked again forgot again third time i had to get up and remind again. By the way they were not busy. Food came out about 45 minutes later. My wife out of habit tore up the stale bread so they could not serve it Again the waiter came over and quickly took it away. The waiter has been good in the past but must have been a off night. This place makes money in spite of the poor service, so-so food, and not so clean kitchen if you ever looked in.

This place is disgusting. The food is bland, the prices aren’t very good for the quality of food in the least. Only upside to this place is the milkshakes. Everything else can be gotten somewhere else at better quality for less money.

Hubby and I wanted to eat near where staying in Hyde Park and wanted nothing fancy. He ordered appetizer of chicken wings and they did not disappoint. Very tasty and filing. I ordered salad with portebello mushrooms and had grilled chicken added. Salad greens very fresh; huge number of sliced mushrooms, and tasty chicken. Server very nice. The in house baked bread was just ok.

I had high expectations for this little diner when we stopped for lunch on Friday the 13th… I was very disappointed. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and Grits. Eggs were underdone and watery while grits were underdone and very gritty. The waitress came with our food and practically threw the plates on the table and left without asking if there was anything else she could get us… I needed butter for on my grits… finally caught her when she came to the table next to us.

Eveready dinner rocks! The staff is friendly and eager to please. The food is also good. The deserts to die for. You will not be disappointed. Hope you are not counting calories when you visit them. We stop there on the way to the Berkshires in the fall & in spring.

So I’m updating my review because apparently after 9 o’clock the chef leaves so the menu is limited they will not make any pastas & the grill is off! So they will limit you as to what you can order Apparently after 9 o’clock all chefs turn into pumpkins and there’s not another available Chef on the universe! I couldn’t believe this I was so disappointed and this is everyday of the week including weekends so there’s a time limit to your hunger after 9 o’clock go to bed hungry it’s really sad because this place usually serves really good food. Every once in awhile you’ll get a server that is stressed out so they will not care whether you get served ketchup with your fries! Here’s a tip… if you order the Banana Foster pancakes be sure to let them know not to add confectioner’s sugar on top«total diabetic attack» it’s usually not made like this but you’ll find a server that insist that’s how it’s always made! Yuk!

Typical diner. Because of their menu variety and late hours I have eaten here a number of times. Food for the most part is really good, but I can’t give them a good rating because I have had too many bad experiences here. Once we were seated right next to a section that was being reconstructed, complete with deafening noise, dust in the air, debris flying about and the fear that at any moment we could be injured. We were bothered even more by management’s uncaring attitude. Orders are often screwed up so bad and repeatedly that you just give up and take whatever they bring out. A few minutes after you have ordered the waitress will invariably return to tell you something you want is not available. Even water tastes a little funny and I have never been able to get a decent glass of iced tea. Make sure you are near an empty table so you can raid it for napkins and undamaged silverware.

I used to come here with my daughters for«diner day» about twice a month. I don’t know what’s gone horribly wrong(maybe it’s just that I now favor fresh organic food to junk food) but the last few times I have gone I have regretted it every time. Even a simple burger is just such low quality. The last two times I went, my meal was served with a side of what look like may have been salsa ten hours earlier, but had so clearly been sitting around for hours that it was covered in a film and rubbery at best. I ordered chicken tacos that were mushy and flavorless. Literally inedible. I ordered warm spinach dip that was just a glob of nasty cheese over a cold congealed chink of what I guess is their version of spinach dip. My daughter got a grilled cheese and the cheese wasn’t melted. Did you guys seriously just give up? Really a shame bc it’s a convenient location. But I think it’s just a matter of time before this place tanks.

I’ve eaten her three times… each time is worse than the last. Breakfast has been the best so far and it was mediocre. Today the best thing about our food was the fries and my daughters kids meal hotdog. Otherwise, it was the worst French dip I have ever had… dry, over cooked and no flavor, too many rawish(if that’s a word) onions and bland steak… the chicken soup has zero flavor. We also ordered mediocre wings with watery ranch dressing. The wait staff was just dismissive and rude. Probably because the waitress said she would t serve us bc she went to high school with my husband and either he was an asshole to her or she’s not proud of working in the diner… who knows. I would rather get a deli wedge rather than pay $ 60 for lunch!

I had the chance over this past weekend(Easter Sunday) to head to this place and try it out. I know I had been in the Hyde Park location on various occasion’s, but this one sure did sound«different», and something I really should think about trying. I walked into the establishment, and although they told me that there’d be a slight wait for a table for 5 people of about 20 minutes, we were seated after 15 minutes instead. The wait for the table was the best part of the highlight of my trip here(though the drink order next came in a close second). We all ordered drinks(all mostly out of soda’s), which came moments later. That also was all fine and dandy and I had no problems with that also. The rest didn’t turn out so good. We then ordered our foods. Although I ordered the Jose Tejas Chicken Sandwich and my mother ordered the leg of Lamb(and the rest had other varied items from their menu that were easier to make), our orders got screwed up. And although my order came out correctly with the one change I made(put the barbeque sauce to the side), I ended up getting sick(and throwing up in the bathroom thanks to not being warned that the rest of the sandwich might be spicy(I have IBS that is irritated by even the least bit spicy foods.) I know before I settled on this chicken sandwich after I changed my mind from the PB&B(Peanut Butter and Banana) French Toast I had thought about before ordering this sandwich(but knowing it was Easter), thought I should order something more formal. I should have thought it through more! As for my mom, she ordered from the specials menu an order of «leg of lamb». Like most legs of lamb that come with Mint Jelly(supposedly), when we asked the server to ensure the jelly would come, the server said that indeed it would come. But the mint jelly never came. In fact, at the end when the server delivered our check, we asked her why the jelly never did come… they were just then running to the nearest store to buy some. «Now you’re going, now that we’re all done», I was thinking? «Unreal!» We did manage to head up to pay, and that was a cinch, but because of those two problems and a few that were so minor I chose not to mention them here, the server never received a tip from us. The business never came through on Easter Sunday, and with my portion of the order, that may not get me to return for a very, very, very long time(not even to your Hyde Park location either). Having no warning that it could be spicy could have been deadly. I recognize it had a Spanish-fling to the name which could have given it away, but nothing else on the menu seemed close to what I wanted and that seemed to be the closest one on the menu. I normally tend to go with a grilled chicken sandwich(on a hard roll) with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise but without the spicy sauces this was cooked in. I thought I found a Triple Decker Sandwich, but since it wasn’t served with chicken(according to the menu), I wasn’t planning to purchase it.

As a dinner the food was decent but with a typical bad attitude by waitresses reluctance grew of returning to the establishment. I haven’t been to Eveready since that being a good 5 years and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either

This is a pretty solid location — I’ve been to the Eveready in Hyde Park countless times but unfortunately the food quality there is very hit or miss… however, this location has consistently excellent food quality! Pretty relaxed environment and the staff here for the most part are great.

Very disappointing. Been to this place many times before and had good food and great service. Not today! 4 of us came in for dessert and they didn’t have any of our first choices. Death by chocolate cake, fudge brownie cheesecake and Boston cream cake. How does a diner not have these items in stock on a Saturday night at 8PM? I finally got a piece of strawberry cheesecake that had the consistency of toothpaste. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

Mehhhhhhhhhhh I’ve tried this diner more than once — mostly because of its convenient location. Everything is just meh. The pancakes? Meh. Burgers? Meh. Choices in the menu? Meh. Furthermore everything is SOSALTY that you’re sick and thirsty for hours. It’s sister diner or mother or whatever which is in Hyde park was on some show on food network so you have high hopes and just. Meh.

I would give 3 ½ stars. It’s the only place in Brewster(besides Cameron’s deli now) that stays open late on weekends(I believe it’s 24 hrs on weekends but not 100% sure) Breakfast is great(but I wish they had Frank’s red hot sauce lol) Lunch is great too. The French onion soup is so good but then again I’ve had better. The service is hit or miss. Burgers and salads are great for lunch or dinner! Do not flip to the last section of the menu where it starts saying pasta and entrees. It’s a DINER do not order chicken Marsala or you’re asking for a microwaved frozen meal. Learned that one the hard way.

I really do want to give this restaurant a good rating because the first time i came here it was good quality food and the service was good. This time around i called in to pick up the guy on the phone said my order will be ready in 10 to 15 minutes, i got there some of my order was ready the bagels i ordered wasn’t ready yet. As i was waiting for the bagels the guy whos was helping me the first time came back and said the bagels wouldn’t be ready for atlease an hour! Seriously i was not going to wait an hour for bagels then the guy said he will go back and check with the manager if they can just give me a refund but came back with the bagels, bagels were hot and i was happy about that. As we were eating the pancakes my husband noticed chunks of white powder looking thing and we realize its uncooked pancake. Really disappointed at this restaurant thats why we are never going back again.

The waiter here gets 5 and a half stars. I went on the Saturday morning of Memorial day weekend and he was pleasant and helpful and attentive to all of his guests. The food gets 2 stars. My omelette was overdone(the eggs were all brown) and the home fries were burned. I’m avoiding carbs anyway, but it would have been nice to be able to bring home decent looking potatoes for someone else. Other than that, it hit the spot.
