Zipped over from the beach for a quick lunch. Clam strip roll was worth the $ 9. Great value for sure. Kiddo got a hot dog meal that came with enough fries to share with momma. Great ice cream selection and both sunny and shaded seating. We may come back tomorrow :)

Maybe their food is great, but we’ll never know. we pulled up this evening at 7:40, unaware of the closing time(as we apparently later learned, 7:30) as there were still a few people in line. My wife, two kids and I got in line behind a man with two teenage girls wearing Brewster softball uniforms. The man and two girls told the girl working the window their order, and they got their ice cream. However when it was our turn, the girl at the window simply said«sorry we’re closed» as another guy with a sideways baseball cap removed all the menus. I was floored. I pointed to the people that she just helped and asked«you’re closed?» Her response was«7:30,» and shut the windows. Unbelievable. Yes, I completely understand that although unknowingly, we did arrive past closing. I also am respectful of people’s lives and understand that workers have places to be. The manner in which we were treated however was pretty disgusting. Could sideways hat guy or the window girl not politely mention to us that they were closing before we stood in line, and especially before it was our turn at the window? How about not shutting the window in my five year old son’s face? One of the main reasons I chose to bring my family to Brewster on vacation was the recommendations of a number of friends who regularly visit this town, and how they specifically described the friendliness of the locals. While we certainly have experienced that every other place we have been so far(such as JT’s, Brewster Coffee Shop, Oceans Edge and Snowy Owl) we certainly felt exceptionally unwelcome at Cobie’s. We got back in our car, drove down to JT’s and thankfully got our perfect dessert treat from an extremely courteous staff. We joked and laughed with a few other local residents, and had a great time. We had dinner at JT’s two night before and enjoyed that too, which is what brought us back. We’ll be sharing our experiences at both places with our friends, and it should be obvious that neither we nor my friends will ever be back to Cobie’s in Brewster for any meal.

Stopped here 2 nights ago and had a Swiss burger and fries, Very good! I will be back. The best part was that the obnoxious crowds weren’t here yet and I only had to wait a couple minutes!

Eh, this place is alright. Your typical greasy seafood selections and yada yada. I’ve gotten their fried calamari which comes in a massive portion, but again, so greasy you just feel terrible after. Not so sure if the taste is really worth the pain, but it gets a half decent rating from me. Great for groups and a quick bite for sure during the summer!

You get a «hat» full of fries and the biggest, juiciest lobster roll you can imagine at Cobies. It’s «THAT place.

Delicious seafood and a great location. Cobie’s is right off the bike trail and across the street from a beach. I always get the fried clam strips and they are fantastic– there’s enough for two people. I’ve never had the ice cream but have heard many good things from friends.

One of our favorite places for a quick, but good, dinner. My wife especially likes their fried shrimp, while I and my son enjoy the foot-long hot dogs(and the kraut!). The reubens are also excellent. Always sad when Columbus Day rolls around and they close up. Makes for a LONG winter…

Had a great experience at Cobie’s — perfect place for fast tasty local lunch and as a break during bike ride. Very efficient service with buzzer, great selection of food for anyone’s taste and even water fountain to refill cold water which was exactly what I was looking for while waiting for our food to come. I took cape cod rueben sandwich which was delicious. Has big seating area in a shady patio.

I have been coming to Cobie’s for as long as I can remember. It’s not a trip to the Cape without a quick bike ride or drive down to this classic roadside shack. With easy access from the Rail Trail and Route 6A, it’s a perfect place to stop and grab a bite. I’ve stood by this statement in the past and I do the same now: Cobie’s fried clam strip plate is my absolute favorite dish on the planet. The clams are always the tender, the breading always crispy and delicious, and my plate always cleared! Sure, I’ve had some great gourmet dinners in the past, but nothing is quite as satisfying as chowing down on those strips with family and friends on a summer night. They never skimp on the portions here, which is such good news when the food is this good!!! My only precautions: don’t try the lobster roll and wear bug spray! Otherwise, Cobie’s is a true diamond in the rough!

We stopped here while camping at Nickerson. We heard it was dog friendly which we really liked. Ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich was a nice surprise since a lot of entrees were fried. Had to stay and get some ice cream of course. Overall food was good, reasonably priced, plenty of places to sit, and dog friendly.

Forget about anything else at Cobbies except their seafood & ice cream! Cobbies is my «go to» place for whole bellied clams, OMG! They must have changed their supplier of clams because they were the best ever! Large, fat, fresh, cooked just right!!! My husband always gets their fried fish & chips, he raves over it! So people, Cobbies is the place to go if u need a «seafood fix»

I really enjoyed Cobie’s! Sometimes, it just seems like the most unassuming places are the best. The ambiance is fun and the food is very solid. Also, it is quite reasonably priced. I ordered the fish & chips, and my friend got clam chowder in a bread bowl and onion rings. I loved the fish! Light, crispy, and oh-so-fresh. Not a huge amount of food, but definitely enough for a meal. The fries were the least inspiring thing at our table. Not horrible by any means, but just quite mediocre. I also had quite a few of my friends onion rings, and very much enjoyed them. The batter was flavorful and the onions were not super chewy, which can be annoying when you can’t break through the onion itself(and are left with no onion inside the batter). I did not have any of the chowder, but my friend seemed to enjoy it. (Tip: I went out on a limb and mixed ketchup with tartar sauce, about 70 – 30 ratio — NAILEDIT! I’d recommend dipping your fried seafood) After dinner, we went back to the side counter, where they serve ice cream. I got the lobster tracks, which was REALLY good. Can’t really remember how it was different than moose tracks, but I didn’t really care since I was definitely in the mood for that kind of ice cream. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Cobie’s, especially eating there(as long as the weather’s nice). And don’t skip out on dessert!

I’ll spare you the photos. You’ll just vomit all over my lovely review! Ok. When my chili dog was taken out of the bag… It was plain… minus chili! Wonderful. Fish and chips were so greasy…(Can’t finish that sentence. The flashback made me gag) … Ok, so I’m on Cape Cod and my fish and chips come with Haddock? Haddock??? Then change the name of the area to Cape-bloody-Haddock!!!(See what I did there?) Served by disinterested and unanimated teens… Skip this place unless stoned, drunk, or experiencing similar bouts of impaired judgement.

We stopped by Cobie’s as part of a bike ride from Dennis en route to Nickerson State Park. In order to motivate ourselves to bike the ten miles back, we decided to grab lunch. The 8 oz. burgers are a solid amount of food for lunch, can’t comment on anything else as we stuck to the Swiss Burger and the Mushroom Burger. The food doesn’t blow your mind, but it does the trick when you’re tired and hungry. The woman(wo)manning(?) the counter was very sweet and it’s strategically located along the Cape Cod Rail Trail.

Very good clam chowder. Disappointed with lobster roll. Was a bit bland and dry… I’d take dry over drowning in mayo but it really lacked overall flavor. I’ve eaten here in the past and had better experiences with other dishes though.

Relaxed family atmosphere at this clam slash grill shack, yet nothing that sets it apart from other similar places in the area. Adequate burgers, fries, rings, etc. along with adequate service. I’m a bit torn about the prices. Cobie’s has a right to make money in this season driven environment like everybody else. That said, I groan a bit when I see how much my total rings up. Ho hum.

Well, for $ 19.00 my fish and chips and soda were less than impressive. The fish was fresh and flaky, but the batter was thin and falling off my onion rings and fish. Three small pieces of fish, and a small handful of onion rings. Cole slaw did not seem fresh, was very vinegary and mushy. I probably wouldn’t come back for the fried food. Soft serve machine is broken today, so I couldn’t review the ice cream.

Great for a shack! I had the bacon cheeseburger medium rare. It came out juicy and delicious! My friend had the Mahi Mahi grilled sandwich and while the fish was good, that’s all it was –fish on a bun, so he was a bit disappointed about that. Overall, a worthy stop on the bike trail!

What Cobie’s is: A great place to grab an ice cream, hot dog or burger after the beach with your hungry, grubby kids. What Cobie’s isn’t: A stellar example of New England culinary achievement. Or even a place to get a decent dinner. Once you embrace Cobie’s for what it truly is, you can begin to enjoy it. They still service ice cream sundae’s in the plastic batting helmets of major league teams. Who does that?! That in an of itself if worth a stop. The ice cream is always great, actually, this is always my go-to for ice cream in Brewster. The dogs are foot-long and really good, cooked traditionally on a flat-top. The burgers are HUGE and juicy. I couldn’t even finish mine… well… after the ice cream the burger was an ambitious choice. I won’t stop coming here in the summers, and from the looks of it, neither will anyone else on the Cape.
