Luke’s Super Liquor Stores

the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced! I was horrified and embarrassed by the staff. I am 58 years old, trying to purchase some expensive wine. the bottle started to slip and my 20 year old daughter (she does not drink) grabbed it for me. the clerk spoke in a very loud and rude voice to her. «I need to see you ID!!!», I was stunned! I asked for and explanation, she said «i need to see her ID!!!», I explained she was not purchasing the wine, I was. «she touched it!!!» «you are buying it for her!!!». «You need to leave» … «you cannot come back to this store» and so on! my daughter left in tears and embarrassment, completely unspeakable!!! I live in wine country, sonoma ca, and if we treated our guests that way, we would not exist. by the way LUKES, you need to understand your LAWS. It is not illegal to have a minor touch a bottle.

So lucky to have this cutie pie liquor store on scenic 6A, smack dab near my favorite running trails. After a run, I can stop in and score a deal on Kim Crawford Savignon Blanc or Big Fire Pinot Gris. The wine shop truly rocks.

I was pretty impressed with the selection at Luke’s, specifically the wine! A great range of reds, and in particular Pinots which can by tricky. WHen in doubt, I reach for Banshee which was only $ 20 at Luke’s — a great price, indeed.
Wedged between a Dunkin’ Donuts and the marshes of Dennis/​Brewster, I was expecting something less than what Luke’s turned out being. They also have a huge selection of spirits with price specials making pricier items very reasonable.
The staff is good, too — helpful and friendly while still maintaining their distance so you can shop and browse at your leisure.
The layout is a tad strange and weird to navigate, but once you get past that — and into the lovely wine room — you’ll be glad you’re there.

Lukes isn’t always the cheapest on what you are looking for that day, but they do have a huge selection and great deals.
Today I went in because my regular favorite wine I bought the night before was turned. I didn’t even have my receipt but I was hoping the girl that rang me up last night would be there. They gave me a no hassle refund and I got some different wine. That’s the kind of customer service that will keep me going back.
