In my experience, Dr. Moyer is a forthright, common sense vet. What more can you ask? Unless, of course, you just like throwing your money away. Over the years, I have owned two cats and two dogs. All four of these pet’s healthcare were, or are currently, being managed by Dr. Moyer. When one of my cats became ill due to congenital heart failure, Dr. Moyer outlined our options. He worked with us to make our cat comfortable, and was forthright when he felt it was time to let our precious go. These many years later, the cats have passed and we have become dog people. Two dogs in fact. Dr. Moyer is now their vet. I’ve had several issues with the older dog: infected glands, leg sprains, etc. When necessary, Dr. Moyer has made himself available the same day. When matters have not been urgent, timely appointments are easily available. Dr. Moyer has even advised us over the phone, about our dog’s reoccurring leg sprains (our dog can be a maniac who loves running through our treed area). Dr. Moyer has been right every time, the dog is fine within days. Dr. Moyer could have insisted on an office visit and charged us, but he himself insisted on a common sense approach. I don’t think you can go wrong with this guy.

They took real good of my kittens when I rescued then 2 years ago. However they lack customer service. I called to update their shots and still haven’t heard from them 2 months later I left emails, phone calls, and contacts on their website

We switched to this vet when we moved to Briarcliff Manor. Dr Moyer is a very good vet who has cared for 3 dogs for us and my mom’s cat. We have history.
The practice doesn’t have boarding or a large staff, so if the sole practitioner is away you are referred to another vet in Millwood. That is the only reason I don’t give the 5^th star, but I wish I could give a 4.5.
He also made a house call when we had to put a dog down due to old age, and we’ve always felt like we were in good hands.

Dr Moyer is great! He’s down to earth and provides all the options to help YOU make the decisions. Never a sell job. Even poses the common sense question that us animal nuts sometimes overlook like… if your dog limps after an extra long walk, why not shorten the walk rather than give them some type of pain reliever. At the same time, he’s thorough and has helped us through at least one serious crisis already.
