Food used to be better. It is still good and if you make a request, they do try to accommodate you. We use delivery since no real sitting area which we would welcome. The regular front end person is nice. Their regular delivery person is awesome. For that alone, I will continue to use them. I hope in the future they will continue to improve their Chinese food, explore healthier options. Sushi is OK but not for all.

I thought this place was reliable, and, for several years, it was. Maybe my most recent meal was a fluke, but it was mediocre enough that I won’t be eating at Hunan Garden again. Suddenly the General Tso’s Bean Curd has a different sauce — weirdly chunky and unappetizing. The vegetables inside the vegetable rolls had been pre-​cooked to the point of limpness. Even the brown rice was unacceptable — overdone and mushy. Hunan Garden has fairly reasonable prices, which means it used to be a good value. But when the food isn’t worth eating, it doesn’t matter how cheap a place is — it’s still a waste of money!

As stated in another review of an awful Chinese place. I come from a long line of Chinese food officianados. I have eaten some of the best Chinese food Manhattan has to offer from Chinatown to midtown fine dining. I love this place. The food is prepared well and is pretty accurate to what you would expect of each dish. The only reason it’s not a 5 star review is that the egg rolls are hit or miss and frankly a good egg roll is a home run. Every time I stray away I am highly disappointed and realize that there is not a better Chinese takeout or delivery in Ossining, Briarcliff or Croton.

Great local Chinese spot. All the classic Chinese take out done well. Love the fried rice, it’s actually brown not yellow (a pet peeve of mine)

Hunan Garden for the price they charge is reasonably good food. We usually get the chicken with broccoli and the sweet and sour chicken. The egg rolls and hot and sour soup are decent as well. Again, not great but good enough especially with the lack of alternatives around. Usually in Briarcliff, they give you mediocre or worse food and charge an arm and a leg for the honor.

Some of the best takeout Chinese in the area. Reliable, quick, not amazing food, but solid. Good with special orders and a lot to choose from on the menu. It’s definitely better than any of the other local Chinese spots for takeout.

Bland with no taste. Westchester’s idea of Chinese food? Awful. Cold sesame noodles were the wrong kind, way too thick. The main thing lacking in their food is taste. There is none.
