Évaluation du lieu : 5 Oakland, CA
I found this place via Google when I was working nearby and was headed to a house party. There were a few choices, so after some quick reading, I chose Manor Wine. I like how they have tastings on Saturdays and a Wine of the Month Club – they seemed to take their wine seriously, I figure that would increase my chances of finding something I’d like. I was a bit surprised when I walked in – it was a small shop but they made use of every possible space. I wish I had more time to explore their selection of liquor, but I was on a hunt for wine. The shop person was on the phone with a customer, so I explored the aisles myself until I found the Zinfandel section. I was very happy to see most of their zins were from California and from some of my favorite wineries from the Dry Creek Valley. Prices were very reasonable, as expected, the Ridge cost the most($ 26), I was tempted to buy it, but economy won me over, so I picked up the ’07 Rosenblum Vintner’s Cuvée XXXII and ’06 Quivira Steelhead for $ 13.99 each. The shop owner(?) was still on the phone when I checked out, a young lady rang me up; she looked barely old enough to drink, so I didn’t bother quizzing her.
