North State Pizza

Okay, let’s get this out of the way. The food is good. The salads are beyond excellent. That said, what the hell is going on with the service. Every single time I call in a lunch order it’s wrong. Every time!
Today might just be the very last time I will order there. I love the salads but this is sooooo frustrating!
Friday: check my order before leaving and the wrap was wrong!
Today: one salad is wrong. No bread. No utensils.
If you are reading this, North State Pizza, I stopped going there months ago for just this reason. Just last week someone asked, «where did we used to get those awesome salads?» So I informed her why we don’t get them anymore. We decided to give you another shot and nothing has changed.
Please try harder. Imagine all the other orders that are wrong and people are just too nice to complain…

We ordered from North State the night of the Superbowl. We expected them to be super busy and slow, but in fact service and delivery were extremely quick. More than that, one of our guests can’t eat tomato and really wanted a pesto pizza, and North State didn’t have any pesto sauce… but they made some for us from scratch! I thought that was absolutely phenomenal, and above and beyond any of my expectations. The pesto pizza turned out terrific, too!

I’m extremely happy to give North State Pizza 4 stars! Very well deserved indeed. This hidden gem in Briarcliff staffed by people who welcome you and treat you like your special. The gentleman who made our pie is a true pizza craftsman. A crust that’s neither thick nor too thin. A crust around the pie that has a slim even width giving you more sauce and cheese rather than crust. Great balance of sauce and cheese. Each slice packed with great pizza taste. The staff also showed pride not just in the food but the cleanliness of the pizzeria and made sure to let me know that they will be happy to deliver in Ossining. Speaking of Ossining, I didn’t think that my pizzeria of choice, Lucy’s, will one day lose its berth as our favorite local pizza. That day has come.

So… Pizza delivery from three guys. Driver. Got. Lost. Ha ha. Seriously. Spoke and texted with the driver at least five times. Pizza showed up an hour and twenty-​five minutes after we called. Oh, the place is 2.3 miles away.
Owner gave it to us for free. I appreciate that.
Pizza is here. It’s pretty damn good. A little too much mozzarella. But good enough, my brother and I will try it again.
We’ll see if it gets more stars if it’s fresh.

I love North State Pizza. No two ways about it. Love this place.
They make a great pie, and they make GREAT spaghetti with meatballs (which I get at least once a week).
The guys who run the place are friendly and quick with smiles, always happy to see me and ask how I’ve been. I love that. It’s a family-​run place and I just love going there.
It’s clean as a whistle – always – the prices are right, and they deliver. Super solid, super good.

I got delivery. The man who took my order on the phone was very nice. So was the man who delivered it to my door. I was a little disappointed with the pizza, because there were pools of grease on top and a bit too much cheese, but the crust and toppings were good.

Looking for a good Pizza/​Italian food place that delivers. My husband found North State Pizza and now we are in love! My son (who is very picky) actually ate 3 slices, which never happens. He said this is his favorite. We also like the Penne Vodka and Lasagna. Last but not least, if you order or eat here do not leave without having the Zeppoli, OMG def homemade and so good, worth the calories!!!

Really good pizza! For years the only place in town was Ossining Pizza– but the crust and fresh ingredients are great– order the grandma Nonna pie– healthy and delish! My new pizza place– finally a good one in Briarcliff!

We just moved to the area and are new customers. This is the time for a restaurant to wow you and gain a new loyal client. Well, it was not a good experience. Our food took FOREVER and when it came, everything was wrong. We were missing an entire dish, my boyfriend received the wrong pasta dish, and my disco fries that I ordered with no bacon were loaded with bacon. By the time they came back with our food, half of the party had eaten and the other half was still hungry. Those who wanted to be polite and wait for the rest had cold food. So overall, a really disappointing experience.
Oh, also– they didn’t offer us any sort of refund or discount on our next purchase. The man I spoke with on the phone (possibly the owner?) asked me how they should deal with it. That was unprofessional. I am a business owner, but I don’t need to tell other people how to run their business. However, I suggested a discount and dessert for the party would be an acceptable way to make up for the mistake. He told me not to judge them by the first impression. What else do you do when trying a restaurant? IF you don’t like the place the first time, you choose not to go back and spend money there again. So, in this industry, it’s really ALL about first impressions. They gave NO discount, and sent us two pieces of cheesecake (when I had like 7 people over).

We really like their pizzas and subs, Meatballs are the best ! The owners are very friendly. Everything is made from scratch. Call ahead of you can as dishes take a bit to prepare. Ok place to eat in but very basic with no table service

I ordered the Il Diavolo which is supposed to come with sausage, hot cherry peppers and garlic. My pizza didn’t have peppers but did have I think broccoli rabe. If they didn’t have cherry peppers they should have told me before I ordered. No problem, I just won’t be ordering there again. Otherwise the pizza was okay but definitely not specialty pizza caliber in my opinion and at $ 16.95 it should be!

We just found this place a few weeks ago — The food was amazing! They have a huge selection of salads and delicious pizza. It is one of our favorite pizza places in the area.

Pizza works for me. Very good tasting crust — not chewy. This is what I think makes a pie better than the average pie. Courteous laid back service.

Checked out this place a couple of times now and was very good pizza. They were friendly, very accommodating to our requests. The pizza was really tasty and not greasy. Definitely going to start becoming a «go to» place.

Legit pizza. Get a pie (or several) made fresh, it’s totally worth the (short) wait. Can’t wait for another opportunity to go back here and eat myself stupid.

When Tuscan Grille closed the North State Road corridor seemed down on good Italian food until I discovered this spot. First impression was that they were super friendly and eager to please, and a year later that has not changed.
Excellent NY style Sicilian pizza, the same goes for their regular (round) pie. The spinach roll is equally yummy.
The place is always clean, they deliver, and the prices are reasonable too.
As much of a sure thing as it gets.

Picked up a pie here and had to finish cooking it when I got it home — way undercooked. They seem eager to please but don’t know what they are doing.

Great, authentic NY Style Pie served in a variety of ways. Buffalo Chicken and Sicilian were absolutely off the charts. Proprietors were welcoming, courteous and thankful for the business. Would go out of my way to visit again.

Stopped after my son had Tae Kwon Do practice down the street. Really nice owners I assume husband and wife very polite and accomidating. The place is neat and clean with two TV’s and without even asking there were 5 kids in the store including my son and they changed the channel to cartoons its a small thing but it goes along way. Nice Place

My group of 5 came in for lunch, we sat down for 2 freshly baked pies… so, so good! We could tell that the owners really took the time to make the pizzas great. Sausage and mushroom was particularly good, with all the right Italian spices. Very friendly service. Will go back again!
