Applebee’s

I suppose this location is okay for an Applebee’s but definitely not a restaurant I would consider worth going out for. (I’m not even going to give it a full review… It can’t compare to a real restaurant.) Far superior to Friday’s though.

We really like the Applebee’s in our area, Ocean and Monmouth Counties. They’re clean, friendly, and have good food! However, we were sad to find out that fajitas have been removed from the menu. It was a favorite item for sure! We have tried other restaurants fajitas and they just aren’t that impressive! I would like to point out that the Applebee’s in fact still have components to make fajitas. There is definitely still steak, chicken and shrimp on the menu for other entrées. There must still be tortillas also, since the chicken fajita rollup is still on the menu.
In conclusion, it would be great to see fajitas be brought back to the menu, as we just can’t find any good ones in our area.

Recently went here with the family for a healthy lunch. Food was very good this time, as was the service.

Nice place pub feel decent prices for a chain resturant. Nice staff fully stocked bar great drink speicals great for football on sundays. The menu is always changing the new sweet potatoe fries appetizer is great always a great place to come when you can decide on what you want to eat for lunch or dinner and they have a 2 for 20 for dinner with a decent menu to choose from.

Staff is friendly, for fast food it’s good, variety of choices even offering Weight Watcher friendly items. After 10 pm appetizers are good. I like their salad choices and the onion soup.

Great staff, fast service, less selection than the another Applebee’s that I’m used to and the food was pretty salty.

I stopped going to this Applebee’s after the manager threatened to kick us out for ordering from thier half price menu. It was 9:55pm and some of my friends at our table only ordered beers/​drinks and told our waitress they were waiting to order half price appetizers at 10pm. At least half of the table had already ordered regular meals, as well. The manager then came over to the table and said he was going to make us leave and we were not allowed to wait 5 minutes for appetizers.
Since when can you be kicked out of a bar for only ordering a beer?

I really can’t say anything negative about this place, which surprises me for a chain restaurant. We’ve been 2 – 3 times in the past 2 months and no matter how crowded, every staff member is friendly and patient – no attitudes at all.
The food is consistently good; I love the Weight Watchers and Under 500 selections since I seem to be perpetually watching my weight yet love going out to eat.
We most recently went this past Friday night, 3/​16, for my Dad’s birthday and even though we said party of 4 and were only 2 at the time we arrived they didn’t employ any sort of «you can’t sit until your entire party is here» which is a huge plus!
Service was friendly and efficient and I loved my Weight Watchers salad selection. This is definitely our go-​to place when we don’t feel like staying in and don’t want to spend a heap of money or, for me, a heap of calories.

We’ve visited this Applebee’s on more than one occasion. The staff is always friendly and we have no complaints about them. The food is good, but sometimes a little slow coming out of the kitchen (we’ve been there for both lunch and dinner, weekends and weekdays).
Last night, however, was a little annoying. It was Friday night at 6pm. It took forever for our food to come, even though a couple of tables seated after us got their food before us. Then my steak was undercooked: I ordered medium-​rare and it came out rare. The manager told us he liked his steak «to moo» and that my steak looked fine to him. I’m sorry, but if you like it to moo, then you like it rare. Anyway, this is the second time they’ve undercooked my steak. I know it’s my fault for having steak there in the first place, I will not be making that mistake again. It’s just been my experience that chain restaurants tend to overcook steak.
Also, while our waitress was very friendly and we liked her a lot, she was difficult to find after we placed our order. We were seated at a table next to the bar. She seemed to have 2 tables next to the bar and other tables on the level above us. There was another waitress who was covering the booths around the bar (right next to us). I do not blame our waitress for having our table. It just seemed like it was an odd area to cover for her and left us searching for her quite a bit.
