Really like this place. I had previously given it five stars and now I’m lowering it to four. Still really good food, and a great place to go with family.
Lowered the star because I can not recommend going there for a holiday like christmas eve. I’m not going to go into it but they were very difficult to work with.

i like it there! Nice people, nice atmosphere. They have a varied menu and the pizza is also excellent. The specials do not vary enough or I would go even more often. Stuffed artichoke and wild boar seem regularly listed as a special, but should just be a menu item as they are always available. I like to go to most restaurants at non peak hours so noise is not an issue.

Came here tonight for dinner, the food was great I had the chicken with broccoli rabe and pasta, delicious, my date had veal franchise he said it was delicious and the veal was very tender. They serve warm bread and our meals came with a salad, mixed greens. Service was good, hostess who greeted us seemed annoyed not sure what her problem was maybe an off night. Place is a BYOB. Noise was not a problem this time, it can get loud when it’s crowded.

The food deserved five stars. Delicious food, huge portions; all very fresh. Our server Maria, on a better night, I’m sure would have gotten five stars. Unfortunately when my friends and I were there it must have been an off night for her. The place was empty when we arrived, she was pleasant enough, but as the evening went on you could see her getting annoyed. From what we could see Maria was the only server on. The hostess was completely useless. All she did was continually fiddle with the thermostat. I kid you not. You would think that if your server was trying to keep up with all the tables in both rooms you would at least clear a table, offer to get coffee; somthing. Nope, nothing. I will definitely give it another try. I just hope the service is better the next time.

Came here last night with family under my in-​laws recommendation. They had been several times and loved it. I was hesitant when we called to make the reservation because the woman on the phone was bordering rude and the hostess when we arrived was clearly the same person. Once we were seated, however, it was a great night. Our server was a doll, the food was great, and the atmosphere was very nice.
We had the bruschetta and stuffed artichoke for appetizers. Both were some of the best I’ve ever had! I ordered penne vodka for my entrée and the sauce was just so good. Very creamy with nice globs of cheese mixed in. Everyone seemed happy with their food. The restaurant was very clean and looked pretty new. Aside from the rude hostess, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Food average, service terrible. We had a large group and actually went in to meet with them and agreed on how the tables would be set. When we arrived the tables were not set up the way we had discussed. When we asked for them to be changed they refused. Even after pointing out that this had been agreed to, the owner refused. This was during off hours and after a short time we were the only people in the restaurant and they still refused. The food was average but we will never be back.

Amazing! The food was so fresh, atmosphere was cozy and romantic. Will definitely be visiting again !

Hate to give this place such a poor review since the food has been so good in the past. Unfortunately, tonight I didn’t get to even taste the food. We had 6:00 reservations and we were seated promptly, but by 6:30 our server, Sal, still hadn’t made it over to our table. When he finally did no apologies were made he took our orders and never even offered us a glass of water. My husband had to go up to the host station and ask for waters. We were given a bread basket that we had to survive on for the next hour and a half before we decided to get up and leave. At 8:00 we finally got tired of waiting for our meals. There were no promises that it would be out soon, no apologies, no refills of our water or bread. There were other people who had been waiting a long time as well and when they finally got their food they complained it was cold and didn’t eat it either. When we left the man at the host stand, who we thought was the owner, was unapologetic and said he didn’t know what was going on, which is absurd.

My first time here. Nice small place. we went early so we where the only tabe gor a while. Its a byob. They had a decent amount of specials which all sounded good. There were 4 of us and the food and service was great. There was 1 mess up with one of our meals but they didn’t want to say anything. I’ll definitely go back

This is one of the saddest reviews to give — the food here is phenomenal; just so freshly prepared and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the level of noise has become more than we can bear and after being a go-​to restaurant for us, we’ve decided we simply can’t deal with the noise level anymore. So tragic that the owners and staff don’t respond to the myriad of complaints about the noise. Put up some sound-​deadening panels — change the drapes — do something to the ceilings… do SOMEthing!
The crowds have already diminished and some nights when we drive by on our way to someplace else, there are only 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot. My guess is this place won’t be here at this time next year. Really a shame.

Food was excellent. Mussels sauce we got for appetizer was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly also. I enjoyed the atmosphere and decorative, however the acoustic was very loud because of the high ceilings.

My wife and I are baffled by the poor reviews. My wife and I had one of the absolute best dinners we have ever had at Il Boccone… and that was by walking in without a reservation on a Friday night. For starters, the complimentary bread was terrific. Then, the salad included with the dinners was also excellent. The entrees we ordered were Chicken Sfoglia and the Shrimp and Scallop dinner. Both of these dinners were positively exquisite and worthy of a New York 5 Star restaurant. The desserts were also just as fabulous… and even the coffee was perfect. The biggest surprise was that the entire check was only $ 60. This dinner would have easily been over $ 200 in the city… and far better than some of the NYC dinners we’ve had there.
Service was also perfect… the waiter could not have been more knowledgeable and attentive to us. Ignore the bad reviews… give this place a chance… you will not be sorry!

We looked forward to the restaurant opening but were disappointed. The dining room is very attractive but the noise level was so great that conversation was difficult. The food was adequate but not inspired. We found the staff downright rude. We also experienced parties being seated out of order and the hostess was abrupt when a patron questioned this. There are plenty of good restaurants around who appreciate and welcome their customers. We will not return to Il Boccone.

As mentioned above, this restaurant looks beautiful outside. We have been going to this location to eat since it was Incolla’s and then La Strada. We were blown away by the whole dining experience! Our waiter, Marco, was top notch… very friendly and attentive. The bread basket was an experience by itself with a type of pizza bread as well as the usual Italian bread. The homemade salad dressing was out of this world as was my eggplant parmigiana, my son’s gnocchi and my wife’s butternut shells. I can agree with the noise level being a bit louder than we would like. Vinnie, the owner, stopped by our table for a nice little chat as well. We all agreed the food was some of the best we had and the price was below what we would expect. In one visit, it has become one of our favorites. We will certainly be frequent dinning guests.
