Started my second layaway. And getting a print from my first 120 negative (hope it comes out). As always, great service, great staff. Friendly. The best.

I’m from Brick so I’ve always tried to come to The Photo Center to give them business whenever I’m back home or when I was gonna make a big lens purchase. But I think I’ve finally had it with them. Their customer service is terrible, the only one who knows what they are talking about at all is Brendan. I dropped off a tripod head for repair (they sold me a faulty head) it’s been 4 weeks and no word. I called and asked for an update on a Friday. They said they would call Monday. It’s now Thursday and no word. Class act. I can appreciate the family business and have always supported but damn they are almost no help.

First of all they make you wait around forever… I will say that the lady with blonde hair was very helpful and nice. But the guy Brandon is extremely pretentious and offputting… Just very bad customer service and they will overcharge you for literally everything. Came in with my daughter… She just wants a basic camera… He completely just ignored us mid conversation to talk to somebody who wanted to buy something more expensive. I understand how business works… But just extremely rude and I would never give them any of my money. If you want real customer service just make the trip up to B&H it’s totally worth it. Or shop online and get the same thing for half the price!

I started doing business with The Photo Center about 7 months ago. I live in Southern California and I came across their website while looking for a place to buy a new camera on layaway. Now I have read the other reviews and I couldn’t disagree more about them being over priced. If anything they run cheaper than most places including Nikons own website. Since buying the Nikon D7200 I have purchased a few other items as well with a list of more to come. I think I have spoken with every person there and their customer service can’t be beat! I have my eye on three more body’s plus a number of lenses. The Photo Center has earned my business and I plan on having a long business relationship with them. I highly recommend them. Thank you all for your outstanding service that keeps me coming back.

I have been dealing with The Photo Center for nearly 2 decades. I purchase my equipment (DSLRs, tripods, lenses, bags, memory cards, etc…) through them because their prices are competitive with New York, especially when you consider the cost of a trip in to sample the equipment, and the small amount extra over those sources is well worth it for me because The Photo Center provides personalized attention and service that’s local and easily accessible.
Another reason I am happy to shop here is that this is a family-​owned business, not a corporate enterprise. The people are friendly and they know their clientele very well. I’ve been in the store and seen 7 or 8 people come in and the staff knows them by name. There’s a connection with customers that you don’t find in a lot of places.
I highly recommend The Photo Center to everyone that tells me that they need a source for reasonably priced gear that comes with great service.

Great service and selection. Where else can you go to get hands on attention and real world knowledge of photography equipment. If you think it is a little pricier than some photography based chains, then you pay a little more for experience. It is worth it. Also, as a local Mom and Pop store, I like to support our community. I have taken my camera there jammed in the past and left happy and with it working immediately. I highly recommend speaking with Jeff or Brendan.

Great shop that will let you try out just about anything before buying! After a recent B&H fiasco, this is the place I will use from now on!

I do agree, they are a bit pricey. But… I had to give 5 stars for customer service.
I had bought my daughter a Nikon cool pix, around $ 400 there, when no one else sold this type, and about 6months later she was having trouble with it.
We took it in expecting a fight of some sort. Much to my surprise and my daughters, they said NO PROBLEM, took the camera and had it fixed within about 2 weeks. Service is a big plus, especially with high priced items such as this.
Now a days you don’t get much customer service.
What ever happened to the customers always right?

Great selection on cameras and accessories. A bit pricey but they always seem to have what I am looking for in stock.
