Went to lunch at the restaurant couple doors down and the bakery smelled so good just had to stop in and get some goodies. First off the guy in the front was super helpful as I had no idea what to get. Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the variety of Spanish pastries. He explained the cakes, pastries and bread. In the end I went along with his recommendations and I’m not disappointed. It appeared to be family owned and operated which is always a plus for me. I will be back for the tres leches cake!

Tres Leches is one of the best ones I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve had a lot so this is pretty awesome!!! The cake is light, moist and fluffy and the milk isn’t thick and overpowering. The surprise is the peach filling in between layers, what a combo! From what we were told, the baker can specify flavors such as coconut, guava, strawberry, peaches, mango, pineapple and dulce. I’m definitely a fan of a bakery that makes everything from scratch, from the moment you walk in – the aroma is what a bakery should exactly smell like; pastry heaven. The staff is extremely helpful and patient into letting you know the filling of all the pastry on display. I will be ordering my cakes here for all occasion. Can’t wait to try the dulce de tres leches!

They do it right. From scratch. Always fresh pastries. Definitely a place to grab stuff to go or Oder your cake. Not a sit down place. Deli style bakery.

I came here a few weeks ago after having the biggest hankering for dessert and not quite knowing what I wanted. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision! A small, family owned bakery who does it right. They have a wide variety of pastries and cakes, and I had such a craving a bought a little bit of everything! The conchas were great, and I’m not even a fan of sweet breads. My favorite though was the tres leches peaches, it was truly indulgent. This is definitely my go-to bakery from now on, and it will be yours once you try it!

H&H has just incredible pan dulce. Every once in a blue moon I have to get out to Bridgeport for work and always stop by to pick up a big box of sweet breads. Always shocked how reasonable the prices are — if H&H were in NYC I wouldn’t hesitate to pay 3x their CT price. I can leave the breads on my counter-top for a couple days and they are still soft and fresh — true quality. Have you had their Tres Leches cake? Don’t miss it.

I really like places like these: family owned, cheap in prices and superb quality. I usually get a concha to go with some hot chocolate when I get home, never disappoints.

Kinda surprised no one has blessed this spot with a review yet! I used to be up in here all the time, mainly for their Guava pastries. In fact, its one of the spots ive missed the most since the move out West. Family owned and operated by some good, friendly, hard workin peoples. People that take pride in, not only the product they put out, but how the customer is treated when they are in their establishment. Affordable, superb quality Mexican baked goods, baked on site; FRESH! Extremely fair prices on everything! I tried the coffee for the first time yesterday and it was surprisingly great! Grabbed some Piedras, a Concha, a Sweet Rice Pastry, and a few other things — but NO Guava pastries!!! Damn! Bottom line, this is a definite 5 star spot, both for quality and service, but i was let down by them not offering that Guava until the winter time. I might give em a call, see if they can make me a half dozen to bring back West with me. Mexican bakeries in SD are a dime a dozen, but NONE of them have the official quality that H&H in BPT does. Check em out today!
