Went to Leisha’s this morning because of all the great reviews. I had the French Toast Casserole made with homemade French bread, with cinnamon and nutmeg. She told me there was bourbon in it. I didn’t taste it at all. My son had the waffles with hash browns and bacon in the waffle not on the side. It was delicious. The food takes longer then a typical diner. But it is fresh and homemade so that takes some time. We both had cappuccinos and they gave us a free chocolate chip cookie. Nothing like fresh homemade cookies too. We will definitely be back. Parking is a challenge. There is an empty lot across the street on a Saturday and parking under the highway 2 blocks away. There is a parking garage across from the Bijou Theatre. Also, there is also a lot that you pay for parking by a machine. It is right around the corner from the liquor store on the corner of Ffld ave and Lafayette.

I came here a while ago with my husband on our way to the city before going over to the train. The décor was cute but not 100% together. I can’t put my finger on it but something was just missing. I thought that it was a good concept but doesn’t compare to other coffee shops/bakeries in the area. The food was decent. I thought the selection was limited and the staff was a bit annoyed to be working. It was an okay experience but I have not been back.

We dropped by here this morning on the way to DC from Boston and it was the highlight of our drive! We decided to come here for breakfast after reading the great reviews– and they didn’t disappoint! The hash waffles were delicious and I can honestly say I’ve never had anything like that in my 26 years on the awesome planet. The spinach and egg wrap was also really good and the biscuit was mouth watering. The service was great and the owner was really friendly. The interior of the restaurant is really cool too and has a great vibe. Lots of space to sit and a very chill environment to relax in. We got a cupcake to-go that was also incredible and the owner was nice enough to throw in 2 free cookies for us! I wish I lived here so I could eat here every morning ;)

Had a turkey wrap here. They were very friendly and were very knowledgeable about the food they were serving. The menu has some healthy fresh choices. Good in-house made drinks that compliment the food as well. Let’s get to the turkey wrap, This spinach wrapped, heat pressed delicacy was off the hook. Fresh chunks of real turkey with spinach and I added Swiss cheese to it with some oil and vinegar. Slammin. Had some Jamaican ginger iced tea with orange chunks in it. Unsweetened, so it made the turkey wraps flavor pop. Yes, I was satisfied and impressed. Then they gave me a free chocolate chip cookie that the owner twisted my arm to eat.jk. who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies? I recommend this place. Good addition to downtown Bridgeport.

Great to see such a neat looking café in Bridgeport which provides a comfortable environment and some great selection of food choices. I have to call out Leisha here, who you can tell has put in her heart and soul to run this place. You feel so comfortable walking in, the customer service is exceptional. The guy who was helping us, gave us so many suggestions and was spot on in what he shared. He definitely went above and beyond in providing excellent service. We ended up ordering the French toast and some quiches in a biscuit. The food was very good, and I have to say the quantity is much larger than a normal person can consume. Which for some maybe a very good thing, however for me it helped in providing breakfast for the next two days! I did not have trouble finding parking, tough it looks like during the weekdays might be challenging. Definitely a repeat when I would be next in the neighborhood. Keep it up Leisha, and hats off to the young guy who helped us with our selection.

What great little gem of a place. Hard working owner and what a selection of baked good fresh sandwiches and quiche I had was excellent. I would/will go back!

Good food. Enjoy the chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Cozy setting. Service is horrendous. Very slow from taking your order to getting your food prepared. Not busy and still took way too long.

Delicious cupcakes and refreshing iced tea. I had an oatmeal drop and it was wonderful. It’s like a cookie but it doesn’t have sugar or flour. It is sweetened with fruit. I can’t wait to go back and taste the savory items on their menu.

LOVE! What a friendly place. I’m in New York a lot, and this place is very reminiscent of Manhattan eateries and cafes. I ordered the hash brown waffles, and when the woman said, «okay I’m going to get started shredding your potatoes» I just new it was going to be a real treat. It took about 10 – 15 to make my food, but my goodness was it worth it! If your in a rush I’d see about calling ahead. It was my first time so she offered a free cookie, which was Fresh, Soft and super Tasty! Next time I’m in Bridgeport, this will be my new breakfast//lunch stop. I’ve already told my friends and family who live in the area.

Leisha’s Bakeria is not just a bakery — it is my go-to spot for breakfast/lunch in Bridgeport area. The food here is so thoughtfully made, with so many options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, meat-a-tarian, soy-free and more. Parking is metered on the street(usually around the corner on Lafayette) so bring quarters. The hashbrown waffles are heavenly. They serve great coffee(offering soy milk, almond milk and cow milk for your coffee drinks) and everything is so fresh. Love this place! They only thing I wish were changed was a bit better ventilation.

I called Leisha’s last minute Thursday Night in need of a cake and cupcakes for my 30th birthday party Saturday Night in the city. I called expecting to be told this order could not be done. I was greeted warmly by Maya who happily took my order and said«Of course we can do it! What would you like?» They listened to my ideas and gave me so many options for flavors saying«we can literally do anything you can think of.» Even when I changed my mind on Friday to incorporate a mardi gras theme for the cakes they were happy to change it up for me! Saturday I got to see the inside of this quaint little café and I was impressed. Not only by the nice décor, but by the friendly staff and tasty treats! While they finished icing, I sat down and ordered the artisan turkey sandwich and while I waited, they brought a sample of the cake! It was strawberry and champagne and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious!!! They also let me have a chocolate chip cookie since it was my first time there! The cookies were amazing as well. Leisha herself helped me bring the cupcakes outside and she was so nice and accomodating! They even helped to make sure the cake and cupcakes would travel well to NY! My guests ate all the cupcakes and I absolutely love how they came out. My only regret is not calling them sooner! Now that I know what’s inside at Leisha’s I will most definitely be a regular!

I’ve been to Leisha’s a couple times now. The atmosphere is very nice, and while there may be a bit of a wait for your food, trust me it’s worth it. Staff is very friendly. Had a work meeting here once and we got some tea+coffee and a variety biscuits+muffins– plus there were these little mini red velvet cupcakes and holy crap they were amazing. Like mini bites of heaven.

A lot of firsts right now as this is my 1st Unilocal review. This is also my first time in Bridgeport, CT and my first food stop was here. I am so surprised no Unilocalers have been here before, because this is beautifully decorated bakery known as a boutique eatery. They have all types of foods to include quiches, wraps and French toast. Of course they have sweets too in this bakeria from pies, cupcakes, granola bars and more. Plus there are gluten free options as well. The menu here gets creative from green apple & cheddar grilled cheese sandwiches to mint velvet cupcakes, which I both tried and enjoyed. I sipped on some apple cider cinnamon infused water with my food and dessert. If you’re in the area or planning a visit to Bridgeport definitely stop here; to Leisha’s Bakeria open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm.

Today is a Monday. It started off like a stereotypical Monday, too(read: my dog ate my breakfast on the road). Thank goodness for Leisha’s! My husband and I have been meaning to try this place(Sorry, baby. Mama had to eat! We’ll go again together!) I ended up making an impromptu stop in at Leisha’s with my 18 month old son because, you know, the dog and my breakfast adventure. What you can expect(and I’m not easy to give 5 stars): Delicious food creations made with love(I bet the drinks are fabulous, as well, I just haven’t enjoyed them yet), great service, and friendly/helpful staff. The space is welcoming, clean, and has a happy vibe. My toddler was enamored by the view of the street — so incredibly handy for dining with young’ins. What I ordered: –Green apple and cheddar grilled cheese (Perfectly done. Glorious bread, well cheesed. Even with a yummy pickle on the side.) –Potato waffle with bacon, cheese, sour cream and chives (Um, yeah. Heaven in my mouth.) –Chocolate chip cookie (SO fresh and delicious. The perfect chocolate chip cookie. I wish I bought more than one, alas, there’s always tomorrow.) And I got a couple things to go: –Garden quiche slice –Egg slider on a biscuit Note — if you want to leave a tip make sure you have cash, because you can’t add it onto a card payment.

For the occasional dose of empty calories, the greatest muffins — big and tasty; good coffee. Problem is parking if you’re planning to sit there. Try

Excellent service delicious food. Morning pie tart flaky Unilocal hasn’t steered us wrong. It’s only a few minutes from the ferry much more interesting than the usual breakfast fair.

I absolutely love everything here. Leisha has been tantalizing my palate with everything on the menu. All the options here have their own flair of originality. It gets better: she bakes/caters. And if you’re one of the people who hates on this place I’m sure you’re THAT person who likes the salads from Bagel King that taste like dirt.

I discovered this little gem after an appointment one day. On the corner of Fairfield Ave & Lafayette. It’s quite cozy & warm inside. You get a great friendly vibe upon entering. The owner is a doll. She’s so friendly and charismatic. This is her baby and it shows in the love she puts into everything she does. Her baked goods are phenomenal. Cupcakes are sinful! I love the quiche & French toast casserole. My fave drink is chai tea latte. She has smoothie of the day & today it’s a yummy kale & fresh fruit mix. I love the awesome«to go» bags of fresh granola. No matter what you like she’s sure to have it! I love supporting BRIDGEPORT Businesses.
