Planned Parenthood is inside a building with multiple other businesses, so I was slightly confuse, but I am also new to the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made sure I felt comfortable, and tried providing as much information as possible so I am able to make an informed decision. I saw some negative reviews on Google Reviews about this PP not letting their husband/boyfriend into the room with them. Honestly, it is a safety issue for the women coming and a way to empower them. There are situations when a friend/family member/spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/etc. may force the individual to go on birth control, get an abortion, get a morning-after-pill, get tested for whatever, etc. By allowing the patient to go into the room themselves, they do not feel as much pressure, and would be able to speak for themselves. It is to protect the individual. I did want my husband to come with me, but I was very understanding of the reason. Even if the patient claims otherwise, they won’t know if the patient was force to say so or not. Anyways, I do recommend coming here. The staff was very kind, and patient. They run behind schedule so just make sure you leave enough time if you have plans after.
