This hotel is good for people traveling home that want a hotel that has professional service, a buffet included, an amazing drive for one night, 2 queen beds, a tv, and is a pretty new hotel. Marriott made a very nice hotel, plus it’s off the highway so it’s for travelling guests.

This is a nice new hotel that is very clean. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful and really all the stars go to them. Checking in was easy even though we booked through Travelocity. Our room was descent sized and the shower had nice pressure. We had a issued with the heavy sliding door to the bathroom derailing but we notified the front desk and they had someone up to look at it right away and when that person was unable to complete the repairs they had their engineer repair it ASAP. They kept up updated and resolved the issue quickly. The complimentary breakfast was not huge but had a nice variety of choices. Here is why they don’t get the full 5 stars. First while the front desk was super nice and helpful the cleaning staff not as much. There were two of us staying for 3 nights. We only had a room cleaned once and when it was done it was not very well. Items that were on the floor were not picked up or disturbed. So I find it unlikely they vacuumed the floors at all. We slept late one morning until about 10 or 11(keep in mind checkout at this hotel is not until 11 am but we were not checking out for another day) so they were already cleaning the rooms adjacent to ours. As we left our room one staff member was complaining loudly and sarcastically about not getting tipped. But we ignored this comment, smiled and said good morning and went about our day outside the hotel. So they saw us leave the room, they were actively working on the adjacent rooms, we returned several hours later there was no one on the floor cleaning but our room was not cleaned. Okay… well this being the 2nd day of the trip and two people with one bathroom we ran out of toilet paper. This wouldn’t have happened had the room been cleaned and restocked while we were out. I called down the front desk and had them send more up and again the front desk staff were helpful and efficient getting someone up to hand us rolls right away. My other issue was that when we turned on the heat or ac there was a musty smell. We opened the window and aired out the room and then turned on the heat later and the smell returned so it is definitely coming from the heat/ac unit. I have stayed in other SpringHill Suites so I’m little disappointed at the lack of standards for housekeeping. The front desk resolved the issues quickly but they shouldn’t have had to resolve them at all if the proper cleaning & restocking had been done. There are other people complaining about the level of cleanliness so this should really be addressed by the management before complaints go up the chain to corporate.

Beautiful room but designed by Billie Bob way off track unless you don’t watch tv in bed. Clean too many people half drunk hanging out an ground level and near elevators. Not a place for kids

My go-to place to stay in the area. Excellent hot breakfast bar(the cheese and cold cuts was a nice change of pace). Nice room. Just two quirky things: the room was a little cold, even though it’s summer, and the ac is off, and they have all these bins in the room, but it’s unclear which is for recycling. When I asked the maid, she said they throw everything away as trash.

The general manager’s follow up is completely unacceptable. I am not the only person in the past two weeks to complain about cleanliness on the first floor of this hotel. There is another review on TripAdvisor where someone found trash on the floor and found a dirty washcloth in their bed linens. Sometimes cleaning staffs at hotels do not do their job. I don’t want to be told that the rooms are cleaned daily and pests sprayed for once a month. I want to be told that I would be welcomed back and that my complaint will be investigated and taken seriously. The response is apathetic, generic, and seems to insinuate that they did nothing wrong. The general manager’s response has made me adjust my review down to one star.
