Hands down best food on the island. Thursday nights are jumping with a great crowd and awesome drink/food specials… Highly recommend +++++

Decent sized space. Aside from the bar they do sell beer as well. Very friendly staff. Pretty decent food. Not a bad option

We have visited twice. The first time service was friendly and attentive. The second time service was awful. Our waitress was rather unpleasant and did not take our order until we had been seated for 50 minutes(granted, we did order appetizers before this) and then another 40 minutes until our entrees were served. Once we were served they had forgotten several items(apple sauce with kids’ meal, cocktail/tartar sauce with entrée, cup of soup). Soup came out luke warm and food is overall average at best. Some items, like the shepard’s pie and grilled shrimp, were good but most items were just okay. They also overcharged us on the check and added more than the 18% gratuity we were to be charged for a large party. Would not return.

Nothing special. Fried food was good. Bartenders are nice but don’t expect a buy back unless you went to high school with them or your a toothless local. Just the way it is.

Extremely rude manager! Ordered the grilled corn beef sandwich. Corn beef looked grayish/brown and I hesantly ate half. When I asked the waitress, who was nice, about the color and that it sort of smelled like old lunch meat, she took my plate and talked to the manager. She said that they dip the corn beef in juice to keep from drying out and that’s why it’s that color. That just made no sense to me. A patron near me ordered the corn beef and cabbage dinner and that corn beef looked normal. When I asked the manager again she said they were the same piece of meat and I disagreed. She rudely said, under her breath, you ate half your sandwich than she proceeded to take my meal. The waitress came back with the check and said my sandwich was taken off the bill and gave me back my bag with just the fries. I am assuming the manager threw out my remaining half of the sandwich. I explained I was not looking for a free meal but just felt that the corn beef tasted and looked old. I gave her the bag of fries to give back to her rude manager. I truly believe that they made my grilled Ruben with old corn beef and was serving the fresh corn beef with the dinner entrée special. Very disappointed as I have eatened there numerous times with no complaints. This manager obviously was not properly trained or the establishment just doesn’t care. I would highly advise not ordering the grilled Ruben sandwich and stick with something safe like the wings or pizza.

A dark bar and package store combined with a dining area attached. Came here around noon on a Tuesday but it doesn’t matter when you come because it’s open 24 hours a day, every day! The bar is rectangular with plenty of flat screens within view. The happy hour special is 2 for 1 apps 5−7pm and apparently a buffet. I ordered a bloody Mary extra spicy and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the BLT and chicken & rice soup. Husband ordered the chicken cheese steak and said it was really good. Overall the food and drinks were average to good quality for what it is– traditional bar fare. You have to pay for food separately than drinks so you have the bartender for drinks and the server for food. On college football playoff Tuesday we watched this bizarre day time show called The Chew on one tv, with the other nearby tv showing the news with volume. We put a few songs on the juke box and they upped the volume for us so we could hear music instead of news coverage. It was weird they had on The Chew instead of the game coverage & commentary but when we eventually asked to have it changed the bartender quickly obliged. I think The Chew was on mostly because the regular patrons were galvanized by the show. I never heard of it before. Anyway, we hung out here for a few hours before hitting the road back home. We pretty much came because our friend wanted to go here and it was an average A-OK place for lunch and a few drinks.

Stopped by here in the off season and wasn’t too bad. Not real crowded and not a ton of beers on tap for instance, but service was friendly and the food wasn’t too bad. 2 sections, one more of a formal restaurant and one more of a bar. Nice that it wasn’t super loud, and always get bonus points when they have popcorn in the bar. Would certainly try it again…

I’ll start by saying that their cheesesteaks is one of the best I’ve ever had. I am a huge fan of sugar hill or white house cheesesteaks but St Georges has its own thing going. The cheesesteaks with Cooper sharp cheese and some crushed hot pepper relish hits the spot every time. Their other food is great too, I.e. The Sheppard pie, chili, fried shrimp, etc. but it’s a little expensive on a value basis. Good food and fairly generous portions but still in the realm of tourist prices. Not a good spot to eat a few times a week with your family unless you have money to burn. Average ticket will be roughly $ 60 for two without alcohol. On top of that, the front of the house staff is not very friendly to those who are not regulars. It’s counter intuitive since we are in a tourist town, but it’s how they are, which is why I don’t go much. I probably will go there more if I ever decide to become a fisherman and grow a huge beard, then maybe they will be nice.

We ordered takeout because we were too tired/lazy after a day at the beach to shower and get dressed… I’m so glad we did. The food was really tasty… I had the cheese steak and it was huge… I couldn’t eat the entire thing. It came with onion rings which were the best I’ve ever tasted. The takeout containers were neat and organized and the food hot and fresh. I would def check it out another night when looking for decent sandwiches/pub fare.

Had a lite dinner here tonight. Nothing much to say about the inside it appeared to be clean, the staff was prompt and attentive but really did not listen to our orders but that did not ruin our dinner. The food was good and above average. The menu is certainly varied with much to pick from. I have been coming to Brigantine for years and drive right by here every time to get to the house and I did not realize it was a restaurant I thought it was just a beer and alcohol package store but I was wrong and must say it adds to my choice when in Brigantine. The only real negative is the price of all menu items, I felt it to be really over priced so it won’t be a regular choice but I will return here.

My business partner and I are photographers; we did a few jobs down in the Brigantine and Atlantic City area this year. After« Unilocaling» a bunch of local bars, I decided that we should check this place out. I am SO glad we did. Besides being a fabulous dive bar with delicious pub grub and yummy drinks, they also have a pool table and a jukebox. WIN! We have been here twice and our favorite menu items are: sliders with housemade potato chips, coconut shrimp, clam strips and creamy crab soup. They make a fabulous rum runner and mai-tai as well. I cannot wait to go back for some pub grub and a few games of pool!

The food was amazing! Great burgers! Most perfect service by Jackie! She was the nicest most hard working girl we’ve ever had! Definitely worth the hour drive. We will be back but only when Jackie is working!!!

NEVERAGAIN! I came with my boyfriend to get food and a drink or two, and so he could watch the Eagles v Giants game. We were seated in the dining area with a great view of the main TV so were were both happy and comfortable. After we ordered our meal and our waitress brought my drink, the barmaid switched the TV we were watching to the Miami game as per request of a «local» bar guest. My boyfriend asked if we could watch the last quarter of the game because that’s why we came, but she suggested we move from the dining area to the bar where the other TVs were. I was not comfortable doing that and she refused to switch it back drawing a lot of attention, and at that point I did not want to stay so we canceled our order and left. We were still charged for the drink which was untouched. There is clearly no manager on duty to monitor the employees rude attitudes. From the outside, St. George’s Pub seems like a good spot to go, but this is not a place for tourists or couples and you will feel that from the moment you walk in the door. I wish I read Unilocal before we came because it seems others have had a similar experience with the priority treatment of the local bar riffraff over dining guests. As a female, be leery. There are plenty of other places in Brigantine to catch a game and enjoy a good meal.

Not too bad for drinks and a light meal. Place kinda has a diner vibe, maybe it’s because it’s open 24 hours… Drinks were priced well and the meal was decent – better than Hoopers. Service was okay.

St. Georges is the type of bar you go to to do our thing. It has a wide variety of beer and spirits and even sports a packaged goods section. Looking for company for that Phillies game? Plenty of guys are there ready to mingle about sports and whatever. Let’s talk about WINGS. Every Sunday and Wednesday there is a great wing special and boy is there a lot. They come out hot and crunchy despite being covered with buffalo sauce. There is so many of them you could get any of us to talk to you by offering us a few. These are wings fit for a BEAR. We had at least ten to split for breakfast the next morning. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. We will always show up on Sundays and Wednesday’s WINGNIGHT. Let’s go watch the game guys!

Went here with a group of 9 for dinner. Throughout the meal, drink orders were filled very slowly — we actually had to remind the waitress once. The bar was empty, and the bartenders were standing around. The fries were good, especially dipped in ranch dressing. I got the Pub Salad minus the chicken, and it was pretty lame. Wayyyyyy too much cheese, mealy candied walnuts, and canned peaches. I mean, I was basically expecting that, but that didn’t make it tasty. People seemed to like their food okay. Nothing awful, nothing great, lackluster service.

I found myself at St. George’s Pub once again a few Saturdays back. Who would have known that boyfriend and I would be living just down the street several months after my original review? Boyfriend was craving shepherd’s pie, and despite my assuring him that I’d make it one night this week for dinner, he was just being incessant about it. St. George’s was not our first choice, but Irish Pub in AC only serves shepherd’s pie on Mondays, so down the street we went. We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, though not entirely adept at her job. Her Guinness pour was awful and my sweet tea vodka & water was mostly the latter. Boyfriend ordered the aforementioned shepherd’s pie($ 15.) I chose the lunch special chili, which came with a cup of the soup of the day. Luckily for boyfriend(not so much for me,) the soup that day was Manhattan Clam Chowder. The food took a bit to come out. I didn’t mind, considering what we ordered, but I know some people get all in a tizzy if they can’t stuff their faces in 10 minutes. When it did arrive, it was delicious. My chili was cheesey and gooey and tangy. I had never tasted shepherd’s pie until that day, and after doing so, I could definitely see why my darling sweet boyfriend was being such a complete brat hounding me for it. Our waitress was very sweet, offered to wrap my leftovers without my having to ask, and was quick with our change. I still feel like St. George’s is on the pricey side, and the atmosphere doesn’t really incline me to want to spend ample amounts of time here. I REFUSE to buy from their packaged goods section, because I just can’t justify spending $ 17 for a $ 10 bottle of wine. Still three stars for St. George’s.

After a day of fishing, my cousin, myself, and my girlfriend wanted to grab something ‘quick’ to eat before the drive back to Philadelphia. We met up with some friends there as well. We got a table for 7 and the waitress got our drinks. She gave us a couple of ‘minutes’ to look over the menu. About 20 min pass by before she returned. I’m already annoyed at the service. The food was bad, and the entire group agreed. My girlfriend ordered the crab cakes which was pretty much tasteless. I ordered one of the recommended dish: the pulled pork sandwich. Dull. Dried. Tasteless. Overall pretty disappointing. We asked for our checks and again annoyed at the speed of service, pulled out my iPhone and timed how long it would take. It took 12 minutes to get our check. Never going back. Terrible service. Manager came out with tons of excuses.

I loved St. George’s. Dined here on a Monday evening after the herd went home for Memorial Day. Always a pleasure to see everyone leaving. St. George’s has a nice feel to it. TV’s are present, but aren’t blaring in the background. Bathrooms were clean, and the service was attentive and friendly. Tried the crabcake sandwich, which was served with a FRESH roll and lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. I really enjoyed the crab, it was FRESH and delicious. Homemade chips were very good. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here and I would get the same thing.
