This guy is awesome. He tailored my suit (jacket and pants) and French cuff shirt for my wedding. Everything came out better than I could have hoped and the price was almost laughably cheap. He was very flexible about making sure everything was ready on schedule. I don’t know what more you could want from a tailor.

Absolutely love, love this local business!
Recently purchased a great, white fitted dress from Ann Taylor, however I’m 6’2″ and therefore had to have Alex take it in to fit correctly. I had purchased the dress for my graduation and he had it finished right on time.
Pricing was extremely reasonable and he told me to bring it back and he would clean it after. I will now be bringing all my clothing that needs any and all alterations to Alex. He’s a charming, professional man that knows his craft inside and out.

What a great guy! I dropped off my pants at around 4pm, and Alex had them ready for me 24 hours later. It only cost $ 8 to get a pair of pants hemmed! I’d definitely return to this business.

I found Alex by searching Unilocal and was not disappointed. He is everything the reviews said. Quality work, good turnaround time (note he is away until Sept I believe) and very reasonable prices. I had pants let out that were still tight and he happily re-​did them. He takes pride in his work (and should!).

This is the nicest tailor I have ever met! His work is awesome, good quality, and he is also really quick. His prices are to die for too. I had suits done, a leather jacket, pants, etc. This guy will do it all. Pleasure doing business with you Alex :)

Alex is a really nice guy and a pleasure to do business with.
He did a great job fixing some motorcycle riding gear for me. He does excellent work, his turnaround time can be pretty quick if you ask him, his prices are very reasonable, and he is a real local character.
What more can i say?
Highly recommended !

Alex is really one of the best tailors I’ve been to. He’s super cheap, is always available, and if you’re really pushed for time, he can do the alterations quickly. He works longer hours and is available on the weekends, so you can always find time to pick up your stuff.
He does dry cleaning for really cheap as well! Just a couple bucks at most!

Hidden Gem! Alex does great work at a reasonable price. He listens to your needs and delivers a good finished product. Shop is cluttered with clothes, but you don’t have to spend much time in there. Look for Alex’s sewing machine light… if it’s on, he’s open.

Alex is great because he’s so reasonably priced. I’ve gone to him a number of times for some patch work — easy things. Then I asked for a replacement zipper on an expensive dress and was very disappointed with the quality of the work. I brought the dress to another tailor to fix it. I’ll go back to Alex for easy fixes.

Alex is truly the quintessential tailor — small shop tucked away in an older building, walls and counters overflowing with clothes and fabrics and thread of all colors. I’ve come to Alex for a few months now and with each item he magically gets to fit me I bring him more and more. He is a hardworking and honest guy who spends more than half the day at his shop (even bringing clothes back to his home) and cares all about his customers being happy rather than high prices. Every man needs a tailor and Alex fits the bill.

I had a pair of terribly ripped jeans. Alex took them and patched them and they look like new, all for $ 7. Amazingly when I went to his store it was closed for a bit and I started walking home and he must have seen me trying to get in and chased me down and invited me back to his store and apologized for being away.
The store is something out of a quirky independent movie: no real storefront, a cramped little room filled to the brim with orders coming and going complete with the proprietor with a thick Eastern European accent.
Alex also does shoe repairs and dry cleaning. He does outstanding work for little money and is almost overly friendly and loves his job. What’s not to like? Located in the oddly overcrowded dry cleaning/​washing/​tailoring hub of Oak Square, this fine little gem sticks out heads and shoulders above the rest of mom and pops all a stones throw away from each other.

I went to Alex a number of times without incident. His prices were very reasonable (cheap, actually) and his work seemed pretty good. Then, he screwed up the sleeves on my jacket. He cut the sleeves on a slant, forgot to move one of the button, and didn’t trim any of the lining, leaving it billowing toward the cuff.
Since that experience I’ve left Brighton and found a new tailor downtown.

Amazing tailor. Small humble place, but he does an awesome job. Has done several suit alterations and repairs for me, and I can’t speak more highly of his work. Also cleans dress shirts for dirt cheap. Will really go out of his way to please his customers. I ran into him in a pizza shop at 10 at night one night down the street and he offered to let me come pick up my dry cleaning. Highly recommend.

This guy is the man. I needed a suit tailored in three days and I couldn’t find any place in Boston to do it in such a small time period. I dropped it off and he had it taken care of in three days. Perfectly. The suit fits me like a glove. It was also unbelievably priced. I paid $ 43 to have my entire suit tailored. Great work, great price.
