El Taco Loco serves a fair meal at a fair price. The food is always pretty good and so is the service. Lunchtime can be pretty busy so plan accordingly. I always enjoy their HUGE combination #6(Burrito, I always sub Barbacoa for the bean, Chili Relleno and Tostada) My only issue is that their chips are often stale, I think they are stored in a steamy environment. Not the end of the world.

About an hour since we left and my husband has vomited multiple times. That’s probably all you need to know. This restaurant is not clean. Sticky floor. Stale chips. Rubber band in the salsa. Service was poor. No one checked back after the food was dropped off.

Pathetic!!! Everything seemed to come out of a bag, its was disgusting, nothing was fresh and they forgot my order! Very disappointed, nothing was good I would rather eat a t. v dinner then this disgusting place. Will not be coming back, if I could give this place a lower rating I would.

There was a black hair in my tamale. Told the waitress, she said it was off the corn husk. The husk is light blonde. After that she was kind of rude and took forever to bring the check when we finished. My meal was removed from our ticket.

Friendly service and food was good! It’s a great place for some cheap Mexican food. I had the pork chops which were very good. Two good sized chops, deep fried. Green salsa was excellent with them. I did order a side of green chili too, which I was not as impressed with. Overall a good spot I eat at again!

Checked this spot out for the first time on Friday and got there fajitas. They were totally delish!!! They give you chips and salsa for free. Salsa is great but what killed it is the store bought chips our server was the sweetest ever!!! I didn’t catch her name but she was very attentive and friendly. Will be back!

This place is great. My family loves this place! Menudo is good on sundays, you have to order it before 9 am I found out or else the menudo is usually all juice and not as tasty or fresh! Also for take out on sundays mornings you want to give them at least 30 min for your order, they say 20 but you end up waiting for 10 min. I love your hot green chili it is actually hot. I wish they roasted their jalapenos though because some bites are to crispy. Everything else is good here service when you dine in is pretty good also. 5 stars

A coworker recommended El Taco Loco to us so when we were in Brighton we thought we would give it a try. Absolute worst Mexican food we every had. We arrived around 4pm so it was before the normal Friday night dinner rush but we were still surrounded by dirty tables that did not get cleaned off until 5 minutes before we paid our bill and left and they weren’t even busy. Three waitresses and about five tables. Like mentioned in other reviews the chips are store bought(not a good sign) and the salsa tasted like it was made on Monday. I ordered a large combination plate that consisted of a smothered been burrito, chili relleno, tostada and I ordered a tamale on the side. The green chili had no taste to it what’s so ever, the beans in the burrito and tostada were cold and had a grayish tint to them, the chili relleno still had most of the skin still on it and the tamale tasted like mush and completely fell apart when I unwrapped it. My wife ordered a torta that she had to eat with a fork because by the time she got her plate the bread was so soggy she could not pick it up. I’m proud to say I can’t remember the last time I left food on my plate until now. We should have all got what my five year old ordered since the hamburger and fries looked ok. We should have just drove to Commerce City for El Jardins or stopped at the Tres Margaritas we passed well going to El Taco Caca. I wish a no star rating was an option because they don’t even deserve one star.

My favorite place to have Mexican Food in Brighton. The price is right and the food is delish! The only complaint is they need more booths. :)

Not impressed. Came here on recommendation from a friend and after reading the Unilocal reviews. I am giving it two stars cuz the hubby liked his food. So right off the bat you are served chips and salsa. STORE bought chips and a weird green salsa. The salsa was ok and about the only thing with any heat. I ordered the flautas with green chili. You could barely taste the chili and the flautas were very bland! The beans were a grey glop on the plate and the Guac tasted like pistachio pudding! Hubby got the steak ranchero and liked it good enough. El Jardin is miles above this place. And the décor looks like it hasn’t been redone or cleaned since they opened. Not gonna be back.

I have been to El Taco Loco 5 or 6 times now and have enjoy each visit. You may be a little worried looking from the outside and the décor hasn’t won any awards in the last 40 years but that goes away once you sit down and start getting the feel of the place. The servers are hard working but will give you a smile back and everyone seems to have been there since opening day. The menu is Americanized Mexican but hidden inside is some truly authentic Mexican dishes which I think draws their biggest fans. I like the simple fare of Burritos, Enchiladas and Tacos. The salsa is perfect, Green Chili has never disappointed me and I can take my family there without worry of bankruptcy. It’s a Brighton treasure that is always busy but seems like you can always find a seat.

Love it here! Best salsa! Great staff! We love it here! There’s nothing but positive things to say about El Taco Loco! Only an «out of towner» would say anything bad about this place.

We decided to try a «Mexican» restaurant craving TACOS. Taco Loco was recommended as a «good» location. «Good» was not part of our experience! Taco Loco needs to shut down or start from scratch! The food was incredibly salty and the four meat tacos was more like cold meat tacos with poor flavors. How can u mess us tacos? I guess a Taco Loco can. Anyone who goes here has to be Loco!!! Stay away from this place and put this place out of its misery!!!

I am here eating a taco and having a great time with my friends. We love to hang out there. The chairs are so cool. They have great service. They let you pick your toppings just in case you have allergens or something you don’t like. I hope this helps you when you sit down and eat! XD

I always get the fajitas, they are mind blowingly awesome! If you want to ruin all other Mexican restaurants eat at taco loco. It has become the standard to which I hold all other Mexican restaurants. On a scale of 1 – 10 el taco loco is a 10. Steak fajita are 9 dollars for a heaping serving. And the chicken ones come with bacon! How can you go wrong?

Dare I say it? Yes! BESTMEXICANFOOD in Colorado. Okay maybe not the best in CO. since I haven’t ate Mexican food in every area of the state, but by far the best, and I mean BEST Mexican food in Brighton and surrounding areas. This coming from a Mexican, you know… from Mexico, so you know this place has to be good. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. Not just my immediate family either, my extended family! Uncles, aunts, cousins, you name it! We all love this place! Great food, great service, all at a fair price. The only downside to this restaurant is that it’s always PACKED. Especially on Sunday mornings, it gets ridiculous! But well worth the 14 mile/30 minute drive and 30 minute wait to eat breakfast with the family on Sundays. I recommend their menudo, it’s amazing! Generous portions too! The small will fill you up, and the large could probably feed a family of 4 for 13 days.

Best mex in Brighton, CO, and there are lists of choices. Fanily, hole in the wall feeling. s. Main St. Location. Good food at very reasonable prices. Fast, friendly service. Had the Tuesday lunch special, smothered burrito, only $ 3.50. 5buck lunch. How often do you see that anymore? Large portions on the menu, lots of locals here.

What it IS: Homey, locally owned, small hole in the wall Mexican food restaurant What it ISN’T: Fancy, quiet or expensive I’ve been here twice, both times late in the afternoon. Once on a Wednesday and another on a Sunday. Both times it was packed. The staff hustles but even they cant’ keep up with the pace, though they try! The food is good, the portions generous! I had barbacoa tacos my first time there and menudo w/a glass of horchata the 2nd time. Had to go home and put my «fat pants» on I was so stuffed! I wouldn’t call it «TexMex» but good old Mexican food. Granted the chips aren’t homemade but given the fact this is a small place, frying all those FREE chips would take up too much valuable time, money and space. I’ll trade free fresh chips for a good entrée any day of the week. You know it’s a good Mexican restaurant when a majority of the clientele are Mexican themselves. The food isn’t fancy but it’s good and prices are more than fair. You may have to wait a bit for the arrival of your food but that’s because it’s made in-house. If you want faster food, go to Taco Bell. If you want freshly made, down home Mexican food then have a little patience, tolerate the crying baby at the next table and prepare yourself for a generous portion of «Nana’s comida». I’ll be baaaaack!
