If I had a choice of zero stars that’s what I would give this salon. This would have been my first time trying Essentials Salon and I will never be back. I had an appt booked for over two weeks and went in to get a cut and color. After staring in through the locked door for a couple minutes, the rude receptionist finally came to the door and informed me that they were closed. Nice customer service. She told me that half the staff moved to Tribute Salon. I asked for the number and she said she didn’t have it. So I found the number and called this Tribute place and the receptionist told me I could have an appt 3 days from now. No apologies or anything. No business from me at either place.

My 9 year old daughter and I went in for the first time to get our hair cut yesterday. The stylist who was supposed to cut my hair had an emergency and wasn’t available, but the staff made every effort to accommodate us. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly and helpful. I was also very satisfied with the way my hair and my daughter’s hair turned out. The cost was a bit higher than I’m used to paying, but was still a worthwhile treat!

Love this salon! Linda a is my stylist goes above and beyond to give you the color/highlights/cut you want!!! A top of the line salon with out crazy pricing!

What a great experience. They got me in last minute. I was 20 min late due to traffic and they were so nice about it. I called but I felt so horrible.
Maggie cut and colored my hair and it was perfect. exactly the color and cut I was thinking.
She offered me a glass of wine and during rinsing my color, they massaged my arms and hands complementary.
Definitely worth paying extra to go to this salon.
All of the staff is so friendly and professional. The salon has a great atmosphere.
Highly recommend going here.

The best in every aspect /service offered!!! Marcia does my hair — Natasha was her assistant I had waxing from Lina & Katie. & Lisa (who works both in Howell & Brighton) does shellac & pedis — they are all beyond nice, personable, listen to what you want, & care that you LOVE the outcome– I really can’t say enough good stuff except if there were 10 stars I would award that! Even the receptionists are great! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. pS April in Howell gives an awesome massage.
