Dr. Watsky has a terrible attitude. He talks down to his patients and staff. Very outspoken and rude. I could not believe how he was talking to me. While I was there, I witnessed another customer trying to work out her insurance and bill. Dr. Watsky did not talk to her in a professional way. He was throwing a fit like a spoiled teenager. It was really disappointing to see how he talks to people. I realize we all have bad days, but he was way out of line. He was also treating his staff terrible and shouted at them in an angry manner. Honestly, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It’s hard for me to believe that I’m only the second to leave a review for this place. I (we actually, since my wife and I both got our glasses here) fully concur with the first reviewer (both us us haven’t seen this clearly in what seems like forever). Honestly — these glasses are so comfortable to wear (because they are so exactly what our eyes need to see perfectly) that you don’t want to take them off. (Those of you that wear glasses will know just how weird it is to even ‘think’ something like that.) This place has a fantastic selection and the very best (and most patient and continuously helpful) people working here that you can imagine. Can’t say anything about how they might handle complaints because we don’t have any — zero, nada, zilch. Pricing here is a shade on the premium side (for us anyway — I hate to pay retail for anything) — but what you get here is well worth it and we’ll be back and will recommend without hesitation.

My wife and I have been using his services for many years. Dr. Watsky does an excellent job at assessing eye condition and then properly prescribed the correction necessary to proved excellent vision– near and far. He is friendly and «down-​to-​earth». He treats you like a friend and listens, but does not drag out the appointment.
One day I suddenly had «floaters» and called him. He told me to come right in, which I did. He took one look and said I had a slight retinal tear and had to see an opthamologist right away, i.e. that day. I contacted my opthamologist and he had me come in that day, and did a laser repair, confirming that this was in fact the emergency that Dr. Watsky had said it was. I am thankful that Dr. Watsky took me right away, recognized that it was serious and gave me proper advice.

I got my first pair of glasses from Dr. Watsky’s office (back when it was D.O.C.) over a decade ago. I came to him for a second opinion, as the last eye doc I saw told me I didn’t need glasses… but I was still having trouble with my vision. Dr. Watsky got my prescription exactly right, and I still remember that feeling of actually being able to see CLEARLY for the first time in a long time. I looked out onto Grand River with the proper lenses and everything popped. It was amazing.
I’ve seen other optometrists (mostly because I was living out of town) but no one compares. I rarely have to wait past my appointment time, as Dr. Watsky is very efficient. More importantly, I always walk out seeing more clearly than when I came in. HIGHLY recommended.
