Came here even after hearing poor reviews. Everyone local said it wasn’t that good. Maybe it’s one of those places that lacks consistency, but we really enjoyed it. Fried pickles and mustard sauce were great. The Philly cheese steak was good, could have use some seasoning. The spicy BBQ burger was great, though not spicy at all. Those two things are why I give the river bottom 4 instead of 5. Our waitress was awesome, which is hard to find in brighton. We will try out their breakfast next!

Service was first rate. Sara(our server) was awesome. Fried chicken was delicious, mashed potatoes were yummy, and house brewed iced tea were all good. Only downside was the Chicken Fried steak… had a «school cafeteria» feel to it. Otherwise, was delicious! We will be back.

The service was slow. My wife ordered over easy eggs and they brought out scrambled. My pastrami sandwich was small and bland, with the bread tasting stale. Overall, bad decision to try, and will not be back.

This was our first visit since moved to Brighton. I decided to order the fried chicken based on the low reviews that other gave them. The chicken was great. Very crispy and juicy. The baked potato was perfectly cooked and came with plenty of butter and sour cream. My husband had the mushroom swiss burger and could not get enough of it. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Once we were seated the waitress brought us the best cornbread and the honey butter. We will be going back

I need to go on record that I love new small businesses and truly want to support them. This was our first visit to River Bottom Restaurant and we were told they had been open since Oct 2014 so they certainly had plenty of time to work the kinks out. Upon entrance, we were greeted by a young lady and asked if we could sit at the bar, our favorite place to sit. She asked if we needed menu’s yes of course. We were hungry. At one point another waitress stood beside us to place here order with the bartender for her table, she couldn’t get her words out, and then said get this… I am so drunk. sorry. YIKES she was working there. Not sure if she was joking or not yet certainly not professional. We ordered I had my usual because I love them a Philly Cheese and the husband ordered the pork chop with bake potato and Cesar salad for a whopping 17.95. I don’t not have a problem with price, until you hear the rest of the story. First round of salad came out there was so much dressing on the salad it was hard to tell if there was any lettuce in their or not, politely it was sent back for less dressing, when it returned it was the same salad just some more cheese tossed on top. Arrival of the main course, the pork chop was a dried out broiled piece that was not good at all it was so dry it was not edible. I cannot explain how you can make a bake potato inedible yet it was so over cooked you could have called mashed with skin. The Philly cheese was so dry it tasted like the old Steak-Um processed meat. The bread it was on was good(wiping brow, I found something positive to say) while barely done my sandwich the waitress came with the check asked if we wanted anything else, me thinking yes I would like to finish my food and drink. Clearly she has no training or understanding about eating a meal in a restaurant. I laughed and said to my husband, I guess we are done and maybe that is a blessing that I didn’t have to finish the dried up call it a cheesesteak sandwich. I would save your time and your money which is to bad as Brighton really needs a great new restaurant.

Went with the fam to give it a try. Almost didn’t because of some reviews but thought we’d do it. Glad we did. We decided to give their burgers a go. We had a couple side salads and on this they knocked it out of the park. When ordering a salad one thing I always give high marks for is when they chill the serving bowl for the salad. Check. Nicely chilled. The salad was a mix of greens and even some spinach. No iceberg in site. Homemade blue cheese dressing. The burgers were very good on a light bun. Don’t recall the type but it was very good. Why not five stars? A tad salty but that could be my taste. We’ll go again. Oh yeah, reasonable drink prices too. Give it a go.

I’ve read the prior bad reviews and also read the good reviews from when they were in Ft Lupton. Decided to check them out hoping the bad reviews were due to moving and growing pains. It was good, very good. Seated right away and our waitress took great care of us. My cheesesteak was great as was my wife’s burger. Very big inside with all booths for seating. Will be going back as Brighton needs a place like this. Kind of reminds me of an East Coast Greek diner without the desert display by the door.

Bascially the same as everyone else. The place is just ok. Not sure if I will go back or not. There wasn’t anything really, really good on the menu and the stuff we got was just ok. Nothing special.

Had the chicken dinner and it was ok told them they needed more spices in it. I was to plain for me. But cooked good and the night manager was nice, our waitress was not attentive at all the manager has to get my coffee. I will go back, but hope they got rid of her!

I was excited to see food being served from this cornerstone once again. I’ve visited twice since I realized they were open and both visits were mediocre. The food is very average. Nothing on the menu pops and both entrees I tried were very average. I actually waited the extra time to try the fried chicken dinner in hopes that it would blow my socks off but it didn’t. Honestly the Wal-mart deli fried chicken has them beat. On the other hand if you are looking for an old school diner then this place will probably fill the void. The staff is very friendly and the service was above average.

The hubby and I stopped in and had breakfast today. His omelette was good and I was amazed by the French toast. Huge slices that seemed to be soaked and then grilled. It was delicious! I order half the French toast and found that one piece was plenty. I’m not a twig but eat much smaller meals more often. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly. I admired how she spoke with the table next to us as well. I’m sorry Gary had a bad experience, but my husband and I enjoyed our time at River Bottom! Thanks guys! Happy Halloween

I ordered the ultimate grilled cheese what I received was not ultimate it was skimpy and not even melted. After they reheated it the bread was hard as a rock. If I can make a better grilled cheese than you why would I come back? The pickle that came with my sandwich was excellent and the service wasn’t ultimate either.

We tried this restaurant because it’s a new place in Brighton and frankly Brighton needs a few good restaurants. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The French fries were inedible — cold and saturated with oil which made them very dense and not crisp at all. I ordered the black and blue burger and asked for a medium burger patty. I was expecting that delicious char flavor with blue cheese crumbles that is typical with this type of burger. What came to the table was a well done patty with a little blue cheese dressing drizzled on it, I couldn’t even taste the blue cheese! It was a huge disappointment. We did have a very pleasant waitress and the service was prompt but that’s about all I can say about this place that was positive. Since it is a new restaurant I guess we will give it some time(hopefully for the owners to make changes) and maybe try again for breakfast.
