I love the concept of a fresh salad, made to order. They are very expensive, for what you get. $ 15 for a large salad, with six veggies/cheese added, is too high.
My main complaint is the attitude of the people that work behind counter. Rarely a smile, rarely an inviting «hello». They seem to be bothered to actually work and sell you some food.
This is the old Toma’s. which closed in middle of the night it seemed — and it just moved a few blocks and added a few dollars to the salads and some grumpier people in the front.

In an area surrounded by fast food… This is a delight. I eat healthy and am starving when I leave work in downtown Brighton. Grabbing a salad that actually has substance and tastes good/is filling is a life saver.

First time here and I ordered a medium create your own salad and a cup of chicken and dumpling soup. Way too much food to eat at one sitting. I ate the soup, which was amazing, and took the salad home. Ate half the salad for mid afternoon snack and the second half will be for dinner. Very impressed, ingredients were fresh, chopped finely, and in generous portions. A little pricey but well worth it. Extra bouns was the strawberry mango infused water.

If you like fresh, delicious salads with generous portions, this is the place to go! I visited The Salad Shop for the first time about a month ago, and have been back again and again ever since.
I have only tried one salad on their menu — the Greek salad with chicken. It is phenomenal! All of the vegetables are finely chopped and super fresh. I recommend either the regular Greek dressing or the spicy Greek dressing. They’re both excellent (and I think homemade).
The Salad Shop is Brighton’s newest gem. Check it out for yourself! It’s the perfect place for a healthy carry-out lunch or dinner.
