I LOVE Tomz Optical. Pricey? Maybe… but with eyes like mine, my glasses are pricey anywhere I go, so that’s a tough comparison. I love the staff. For the negative reviewers, I feel like I was in a different store than you! I have never had a bad experience both times I have been there. Phone demeanor is pleasant, and in person… very pleasant… and professional. I WILL be back!

Will never go back. First of all, they will price gouge you. Especially if you pay out of pocket. Tell you they’re having a «sale» on frames but even the sale price is double what you can get the exact same frames for somewhere else. If you order glasses, they won’t bother to tell you what all the expensive extras are going to cost, they’ll just write them up. Completely IGNORE you when you walk in the door. I stood there right in front of him until he was done with the one other customer in the store before he even ACKNOWLEDGED me. No one at the front desk. Used to be I’d pay for my contacts when I picked them up. Now suddenly I’m asked to pay up front. So I paid $ 100 cash toward them and he just took the bill and gave me NORECEIPT. Wth? And I WAITED and WAITED over a month for my contacts to come in. I kept calling to see if they were in and they’d tell me «middle of next week» then that would pass, still not in. When I called to find out they finally came in(they never called me), I went to pick them up and they told me had ordered the wrong ones so I had to wait and wait again.

OK, but rather expensive. Their ophthalmologist acts as if he wishes he were somewhere else. Perhaps it is time to retire.

I was excited when I called Tomz Optical and asked about pricing for progressive lenses… I was happy to find out that they were cheaper than every other place I called. I was also exicted to find out that both pairs of my glasses would be ready within the week. I am sitting here, less than excited, because I still do not have the correct sets of glasses. Their customer service leaves alot to be desired. I have not once received a phone call regarding the status of my glasses… I’ve always had to call. Additionally, I paid $ 80 more than I was quoted on the phone for the lenses! I will not be going back to this establishment nor will I recommend my friends to shop there.

The good: Took my glasses here to have them repaired. They were able to unfold them after I slammed them in a car door. It was free. The bad: They’re kinda expensive, I bought the glasses and some contacts here. Later I found better prices, but oh well. Most of the staff was helpful, but they eye doc was a little short with me. Overall: I would recommend if you needed to try a place out. But If you have a better place I’m all ears… and eyes. ;)
