If you are captivated by the history and liturgy of the church, Emmanuel is a great place to worship. The church building itself is quite a work — a stone building reminiscent of an English country parish and stained glass windows depicting Bible stories. The worship is unapologetically traditional, complementing the historic sanctuary. When I visited, I was impressed by the friendliness of the congregation, the humor and depth of the sermon, and sense of being at home already (i’m used to this worship tradition). I would recommend this church to anyone looking for a rich liturgical church in Bristol, TN area.
